I am a fairly disciplined person with goals while also knows the importance of being in the moment but yet I fail at sustaining a routine. And this is making me look at it a whole lot differently. Thank you for this video. I am going to try to think of attainments as journeys instead if goals. To work on discipline instead of weight loss. I'm learning how not to compare myself to others, and this helped a lot.

And it may sound trite but do you have any suggestions on methods to remind yourself to take the cold shower, or meditate at X time? I've been using alarms (reminders just aren't in-your-face enough for me) and I find that after a few days my brain kind of ignores them or just stops the alarm. Do you have any tips to combat this?
Beyond setting alarms with your smartphone I don't.
i found a dream journel to be a good routene
im still trying to get how lucid dreams work as a goal i can follow for the time
i can feel like i acomplished something by sleeping thats like the easyest way i can think of

Great video - really made me think!! My question though is if you shift your focus from end goal to the process of developing yourself and your personality, how would your goals change to facilitate this? For example if I have the goals:
- make $100k a year by 31 December 2018
- have lost 20Kg by 31 December 2018
How would I change those to support my new outlook on them/their intended result? Is my question clear?
That's not a short answer. I think I'm going to put goal setting on the list and do a video just about that. All for you! :)

If that old advice isn't working for you it's time to try something a little different. :)
