All three patterns are lovely. Personally I would make a stained glass quilt out of it. I would use a nice sharp black and that way all the fabrics will standout on their own. Kaffe is great but like you said there is a lot going on in his fabrics. To put them all together to me they just sort of all get lost amongst themselves.
I have to agree with making it a stained glass! That would be so sharp! I have another pattern that calls for cutting the fabric at different angles and then shuffling them around and framing each piece and putting them together in a jig saw puzzle kind of way. I just watched a RUclips video on something like that today after I watched your’s and I really liked the idea!
Given your fabrics and that they are fat quarters I would go with option 1. Within my second year of quilting back in the late1990's I attended a workshop with Kaffe and Brandon, when they were just starting out.( I have attended more workshops since then whenever they come to Australia.) I learned so much about design and colour. Keep the shapes simple and use the fabric as the paint. They advocate cutting all the shapes and laying out on the design wall, step back and look for the pops, interest and balance. Do the unexpected juxtaposition alongside the fade into each other. I have hundreds of yards of their fabrics and LOVE working with them. Nothing is more exciting to me than working with them. You can keep the quilting a simple allover or go to town outlining the graphics of the fabrics. By the way Hancocks of Paducah Kentucky have an enormous selection of these fabrics with great sales that happen often. xxxx
I choose number 1. I think is the best way to enjoy that gorgeous fabric. I’m looking forward to know your decision. Thank you for this opportunity to participate.
I definitely would go with pattern number 2. It just pops out at me-beautiful quilt! I’m so glad you are doing this because I have a ton of Kaffe fat quarters!
I'm in love with #1. The others are so, so, so pretty, but number one spoke to me. Have fun! I too have many more Kaffe fat quarters than any one person needs, but hey! I love me some Kaffe!
I see there are a LOT of votes for #2, but I loved #1 because of the border. However, I'm a big fan of HSTs, so I'll be excited to see whichever one you make.
I'd go with #1 ocean ripples. The prints don't have enough consistency for the 2nd, and I don't know if they have enough contrast for #3. I love Kaffe prints! I hope you love sewing with them!
Hi Kristen! I choose quilt #3. I love the splash of colors and contrast. You are the best....I know whichever one you choose it will turn out wildly fabulous.... Have fun.
I agree with another comment about making a stained glass quilt using a black fabric to make each print stand out and shine. That would be my first choice. Second choice is your option #2. I don't know how large the triangles are, but I would make sure they are large enough to appreciate each print individually. And then my 3rd choice is to take a look at Donna Jordan's video/quilt "Upstream". She uses Kaffe fabrics very well in some of her patterns. Can't wait to see the finished product no matter what you decide to do.
I liked pattern #1 for the Kaffe fat quarter quilt. I think the simplicity of the pattern will allow the patterns in the fabric to show through better.
I love the Dark Garden pattern!! Love Kaffe prints too! I really dont like the sun and sea pattern. Kaffe really needs chaos in my opinion subdued with a black background to pop!
When I started quilting I was overwhelmed by Kaffe Fassett prints and didn't like them much...but now I cannot get enough of them! I like his comment that his prints let the fabric do the work in a quilt design. The quilt patterns in the Fassett books are usually very simple in terms of construction but get their "wow" factor from masterful colour work.
My favorite is #3. I have both of those books and although I’ve never made any of the patterns I have looked thru the books numerous times because of the beautiful photography.
As soon as I saw the fabrics I was thinking these need black sashing, larger squares or even half square triangles but definitely some black sashing to really make them pop. Or even window pane sashing and call it summer garden. I would choose option one, especially for this larger print
I like number 3!

Great Idea 💡.
Yes, second a stained glass
I really like the solid black idea as well.

I vote for #1
#3 I love color lots and lots of color
I do also!!! 🥰
Given your fabrics and that they are fat quarters I would go with option 1.

Wow! How exciting, I would love to hear about those times. What amazing memories you must have.

It's a hard choice for sure.
They are all great. Vote for #1.

Quilt pattern #3 is my choice. They are all amazing. This one speaks to me as it has a more organized appearance.
Thanks so much Shawn.
I like option 3 with the border from option 2.
I like quilt #3. With the red blocks in the pattern, maybe use a grunge or tone on tone accent fabric (magenta/fuchsia)
Great idea Julia! 🥰
LOVE that passionflower fabric.
I LOVE the Dark Garden for the fabric you have ❤😁
I like them all but I would like to see it done with #3
Pattern number one. Love love HSTs!
Dark Garden #2 - I love Kaffe’s fabric.
I’m liking pattern 3 ! Good luck.😊
#2 for sure. Love the contrast!
#1....the simplicity let's the fabric shine.
I'm in love with #1. The others are so, so, so pretty, but number one spoke to me. Have fun! I too have many more Kaffe fat quarters than any one person needs, but hey! I love me some Kaffe!
I don't see any problems with having too much. 😜
Dark garden I think would be lovely in these fabrics.
I really like that as well Annette.
Definitely option #1 in my opinion. Best of luck.
Number 3
. Possibly different border but keeping the corner stones.tThank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for that suggestion.
I’d definitely do number one. But they are all so beautiful!
Happy sewing!
Number one , because I think the simpler the block, the more your big patterns will show, but I'm sure whatever u pick will be very nice!
Option #2 is what I chose. Have fun with it. TFS.
I see there are a LOT of votes for #2, but I loved #1 because of the border. However, I'm a big fan of HSTs, so I'll be excited to see whichever one you make.
Thank you Cheryl. I can't wait to get started. 😍
I love the dark garden #2 - love the checkerboard and squares. It breaks it up a bit. 🌸
I agree as well.
I love #3, Sun and Sea!
I'd go with #1 ocean ripples. The prints don't have enough consistency for the 2nd, and I don't know if they have enough contrast for #3. I love Kaffe prints! I hope you love sewing with them!
I am so excited to get started with them.
I like them all but I'd make #2. Can't wait to see what you make!
Number 1for me , simple but classy
I would choose pattern number 3.
I vote for #1. Can’t wait to see what you do. 😊
Hi Kristen! I choose quilt #3. I love the splash of colors and contrast. You are the best....I know whichever one you choose it will turn out wildly fabulous.... Have fun.
Oh thank you! You are so sweet Rosa.
#2 would be beautiful!
Probably the first one. I think it would show off the fabric nicely.
I agree with another comment about making a stained glass quilt using a black fabric to make each print stand out and shine. That would be my first choice. Second choice is your option #2. Thank you so much for those ideas. You all have been so so helpful!! 😍
i really like the dark garden
#2 Please. Love that one. Thanks.
I like the 3rd pattern Sun and Sea love the design the quilt has.
#2 Dark Garden is my favorite!
I vote for pattern #1.
Love your channel
You are so so kind. Thank you!
Happy Mother's Day!!!
Thank you so much! The same to you!
I vote for #1 Ocean ripples because the triangles would really show off the material :) also like your glasses!
Awe, thank you so much.
Hi Christen. For me I would go with #2, Dark Garden. It's way beyond my skill level but so beautiful to look at! ~~ Lynne
OH no, I know you could do it Lynne. Getting ideas from all of you really helps me.
Definitely #3 for me
I love the sun and sea. But all the patterns are beautiful ❤
Pattern 2 is lovely
Definitely Number 1 🥰
I like #1, but #2 would work with your fabrics as well. I’ve loved Kaffe’s work for a long time!
#1 I would feel would showcase the patterns the best. Love Kaffe fabrics. I’m looking forward to part 2!
Awesome! Thank you!
Personally I would choose pattern 2. Cant wait to see what you choose and create!
Pattern # 2 all day!

Sun and Sea #3 is so beautiful! I want to make that!! ❤
I like #2 as well. Have fun!
I sure hope to. I am very excited.
My favorite is the first one. It really showcases the fabric.
Pattern #2 is the one that I would like to see you make a quilt from. Such beautiful fabrics.
Good choice!
Dark garden. Is my favorite.
I love it also.
I liked pattern #1 for the Kaffe fat quarter quilt. I think the simplicity of the pattern will allow the patterns in the fabric to show through better.
I love your thought process MaryJane.
Option #1 would look fabulous! I've made two Kaffe quilts and they resemble option #1 and they look amazing!
Wonderful! I bet they are beautiful Sandy.
I prefer option number 2. I like the half square triangles with the checkerboard. Happy quilting.
Thanks so much my friend.
They are all lovely, and whatever you choose will be stunning.... however, I myself love #1 Ocean Ripples.
Definitely number 2 Dark. Garden.
Great Karen!
Beautiful fabrics! I'd choose #3.
Thanks for voting!
I love the Dark Garden pattern!! Love Kaffe prints too! I really dont like the sun and sea pattern. Kaffe really needs chaos in my opinion subdued with a black background to pop!
My thoughts about the black too.
Love it!!! Thank you!

Yes the fabric can me overwhelming but once you start you can't stop. ;)

I like the 2nd one. I like the borders of 9 patch. Good luck.
I do as well. 😍
I also really like pattern #2. I can not wait to see how beautiful the quilt you are making is.
Thank you for the kind words.
Number 2 I like that one good luck
Thank you so much Debra!! 🥰
My favorite is #3. I have both of those books and although I’ve never made any of the patterns I have looked thru the books numerous times because of the beautiful photography.
They really are so stunning.
I like the first one.

I do love the idea of the black to make things pop.
all 3 are beautiful. But I like # 3 the best.
I like 2 more than the other ones with the fabric you. Can’t wait to see what you go with!
I am so excited to try this. Stay tuned.

I think #2 would be beautiful!
Pattern 2! Can’t wait to see what you do. I am using my Kaffe scraps in the Trinkets SAL.
I vote for #1. Using a half square border is buildt in when you make the larger blocks. :)
I like option 2!!
