You should be proud of yourself for being so outgoing and adventurous during that trip - I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that you were well outside of your comfort zone doing that. Surely that warrants some kind of recognition of courage or other. I've only traveled the States but I've seen all 48 contiguous, and I've definitely come to believe that nurturing that innate sense of adventure we're all born with is super important for mental health, you know, that feeling of leading a rich full life despite our problems and our flaws. And honestly, traveling alone is THE BEST. Random shop you want to check out? Go for it! No decisions being made, no awkward personality dynamics, just do the adventuring and have fun with it.
Art is so cool. I'm a words person (fiction writing, reading - see: art is cool) but color is of course a wonderful phenomena of the human experience. That being said: your ensemble is the MOST pretty blue. :)

Insta is, what you make of it! Don’t let yourself be limited. I personally hardly post any selfies on insta and follow quite a few accounts which don’t do this as well.
Depends what the accounts are, so a carpenter account obviously showcases carpentry. But I find it only works on my account if my face is in it. Art is different. Thrifting account and cat account function differently too. Just find it sad.
I'm not much of an art fan but I really enjoyed watching you looking like you were enjoying yourself and explaining why. I hope that you find great satisfaction and enjoyment in exploring who you are now that "civilisation" has given you permission to do so properly.

@@beckiejbrownBasically, I was on my honeymoon, we went to Gregg's the bakers for something to eat, when we came out .. something in my mind was mentally pulling me towards a place just over the road.. it was my wife back then that informed me of the Harry potter connection. There are small shops there with souvenirs and sweets. Might be worth you visiting there if you are ever in York! 🙂

Glad that you're holiday to Edinburgh had so many positives. Not just for yourself, but feeding some economic activity into a community. Given your "hiking boots" comments, plus something I have been keeping to myself given your most recent posts, have you considered walking the Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostela? Granted I'm not sure you can score 6+ weeks off, but given your posts about being "by yourself" and "connecting with others," I think the walk would do you good, inspire you, and help define, in the short term your future.
Before you do an eye roll or hesitate, it's actually not that hard. It's just a 16+ mile a day journey over some incredible landscapes that unfolds before you. I have done many a walk, but some happy memories are along that path from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago, and onto the coast. I recall the art, environment, and people. For example, since I went in late April (actually had my birthday on route), I recall a breeze causing wheat to ripple in a wave like fashion. Another example is the Don Quixote figurine made out of auto parts. Then there was all the textures, sights, smells, and structures. Of course there are the people. You keep running into the same 2 dozen people who you meet and befriend.
If you have doubts, ping my channel. Camino John. Granted, you may go all in and skip that adventure for one in Japan. Those videos are posting from now until mid November. Can you say vampire moths and Japanese mountain ambush leeches?
I watched your last video just a couple hours ago and wondered when you might post this one. It's a lovely coincidence. You said you wanted to take a vacation outside the country. If you ever want to come to Istanbul (Turkey), I would be happy to host you. I'm a hard-core cat lady too. I have 3 + 4 (long story short, I couldn't find a forever home for these little ones-but seriously, not so little anymore) = 7 cats, which are all rescued from the street. If I'm not mistaken, I think I have been watching your videos for about a decade. I sometimes wonder if I ever reached out to you through the years; maybe we could be friends. But I totally understand that you don't want to be in contact with someone online. I, too, don't trust anyone online unless I have followed them for at least a certain number of years. Anyway, with so much respect and love. Take care.
eye contact got more difficult for me after my autism dx as well for the same reason.
hey rebecca during my years in psychiatry i had a few autistic roommates they were lovely people and still friends with them after a long time. im schizo affective and currently more stabile. i wish you the best you have the heart on the right place :)
