Welcome to the uk folks enjoy your time over hear . And remember its soccer , fish & chips and a pint in your local pub . Have a great time enjoy our little island .
It is very Americanized, but it's actually my first time having ceiling fans (with the exception of a dining room once). It's also my first time without A/C though so I've definitely enjoyed the fans haha.
@@giebnerfamilyadventures7669 You wont need A/C in the UK, it only gets really warm maybe 6 weeks out of the year, you can buy mobile A/C units though if you wish. Another thing, I dont understand why they have tiles in the front room. It must get freezing?
Yeah there were maybe 5 days (well, nights really) that I wished for A/C but other than that it wasn't too bad at all. We put down a few area rugs to help but it is quite cold, at least in the mornings! Good excuse to cuddle up on the couch with blankets and coffee though haha.
Nice to see your video ^^ I am waiting for my husband work to tell who will go lake nheath, in next month we will know. We hope to go there like you guys. >\\\
I am not positive about that. There are multiple Facebook groups though for the area and I see contractors on there asking questions. One is called Lakenheath/Mildenhall Q&A. You'll definitely get better answers there 🙂

Thank you for sharing the house layout.
You're welcome 🙂
Americans have to have their ceiling fans..having lived in the U.S. for 15 years this deff has that American house feel.

Good luck!! The waiting to find out is the worst!
House looks bigger than what I seen. Chief?
This is JNCO (although some SNCO members are also in this style, I think because most SNCO seems to be 3 bedrooms)
Anyone have info for American Contractors? Do they allow the contractors to rent homes on base? How about elementary schools?
I am not positive about that. There are multiple Facebook groups though for the area and I see contractors on there asking questions. One is called Lakenheath/Mildenhall Q&A. You'll definitely get better answers there 🙂
How long is the base housing waitlist?
It can be anywhere from a couple weeks to 6+ months depending on size, if you're coming from a short tour, and which base you want.
How far are you from the elementary and middle school?
The elementary school is about a 5 minute walk. The middle school is a 20 minute bus ride (the middle school isn't on RAFL, it's on RAF Feltwell).
Thank you
You're welcome 🙂
Is this enlisted or officer housing?
Enlisted
