How does anyone feel sorry for that guy? Maybe this video doesn’t convey the horrors of what he did to the AI crew, but it’s not AI crew- it’s the people in a digital body that feels pain. He codes them to feel pain- and therefore when he tortures them (a lot) (for eternity) (to kids as well) they feel the horrors. It just goes on and on- hes a sadistic, perverted narcissist and you can’t help but be relieved that he isn’t CEO 💀💀
I agree. Daly's life sucks and he deserves more respect for his work, but it doesn't justify his cruelty. The characters Daly created for his mod aren't ordinary NPCs who are just following a code. They are sentient digital clones of Daly's coworkers with all their memories. It's obvious Daly hates his life in the real world and takes out his anger and frustration on the digital clones he makes. It shows how demented he is, as well as his hidden disdain for his coworkers and desire to have power over them.
If this is how VR Tech is abused then I don't think we should have it in real life. What this guy did to these AI programmed characters was very evil. It was even more cruel that they knew exactly what they were and where they were trapped.

I’m pretty sure Daly didn’t die. Surely there are protocols to regain consciousness after a certain period of time like maybe 12 hours? But still if Daly can’t report it as its something illegal as no consent involve & creepy. Eventho its stolen property, when police found out whats its for it may be worse for him. However it begs the question if cloning and torturing ‘cookies’ are illegal or not hm. Many things to think about
What I find interesting is that, since it’s a modded, private version of the software, he might be locked in there forever (and good riddance.) The normal software though? 100% But DUDE I didn’t even think of the legal problems until I read your comment that’s such a mindfuck woah
There's a lot talked about concerning "cookies" in Black Mirror. Originally no, you could do whatever you wanted and there's a LOT of examples of torturing them. Like the cookies inside stuffed bears, or the ones tricked into confessions that are then punished for millions of years in their time, or the one that's continuously executed over and over again (which also had been copied countless times as a souvenir). But eventually they do get rights and count as people within the Black Mirror universe. Even to some nonsensical degrees. Like in San Junapiro, where they act like a cookie copy of someone dying literally IS them. That one made no sense. They acted like that was the afterlife, when its actually just copying them when they die, and real them dies, while a copy lives on....
@@Dogman262 I might be wrong but Deepfake corn is not always illegal as it depends on the location (State/country). Still feel bad for Daly. Yeah, he took out his frustrations onto the AI counterparts, but those frustrations were a result of him being used and abused in the real world. His so-called friend basically took credit and reaped the financial rewards for Daly’s creation while treating him like crap and no one questioned it because he was charming and sociable and the target of his selfishness was someone on the social fringes.
I think Daly is a victim who chose to become the bully. A much worse one at that. Walton admits he was going to say sorry and Daly had every reason to be mad at him, but Daly threw his son out of an airlock

And it's tough to have a moral argument here as they aren't human nor real. The only moral argument I can think of right now is that he's not doing himself justice by actively harming himself in the real world by doing that role play in game. As for legal arguments, there are arguments that can be made of him illegal taking the DNA samples of other people but his treatment of the in game characters won't be illegal with the laws today.

Watching the trailer of black mirror when it was about to come out, I thought I would hate this episode.
I was so wrong.

Deepfake corn is illegal, this would be mega illegal

It was Walton who respawned at the end, not Valdack xD

Walton did say that the way he treated Daly was nothing compared to what Daly did to him.

"AI" bro they're the sentient copies of people
The bass is strong on this ond
This is one of the comedic episodes of Black Mirror.
Wow this is cool and scary at the same time.
Sounds like a real life Barkley from The Next Generation
I love the ultraman reference with the zetton figure ngl
Damn i didn’t expect him to die at the end lol poor dude
Walton?
Wait what? Dude is a monster
My bro...what mic did you use for this?
A potato 😂
Skippy moving a bit mad
😂😂😂
Reminds me of Matrix 4 a little.🤔
As interesting as the story is most of it is filled with plot holes, many many plot holes, which makes it a bit difficult to watch for me at least.
i feel sorry for the guy, he just wanted his own world of joy🤣
Haha right?
But he gone to far.
Yeah, abuse the crew he created and at last she get help from the real world.
He made a world where everyone exists simply to entertain him and bend to his will.

Dude turn the base down I couldnt even listen to the review.
Why is he creating co-worker's?
Ai can generate many many people., not connected to the real world
For the story, and the human ego.
