    As an American who lives somewhere it is legit too hot to bake year round (38°C everyday for the next week), the lack of real bread available near me, when not baked by me, is the worst. Have to drive 15-20 minutes out of the way to get a single loaf for $12. It's unreasonably expensive and difficult to obtain.
    Also, totally wish we got the 100% lindt bar with orange flavor. My family thinks I'm crazy for eating squares of that bar plain, but it is healthy in small doses and really satisfies the chocolate cravings!

      Hello. 12 is indeed very expensive. We do our best with what is accessible. Have a nice day 😊

    I really miss the delicious baguettes and other baked goods in France. Here in America, it's very hard to find high quality bread or pastries. I finally learned how to make my own but I'm still not patient enough to devote the time to it. It was so nice to be able to get a fresh baguette every morning at the boulangerie or open air market. I can resist all the other ultra-processed foods but not that!

      Hello. Yes we are lucky in France as we have delicious and high quality bread. Thanks for watching ☺️

      Hell. Thanks 😊 let me know how it goes! I don't know if I said in my video that the type of cut is from shoulder. I'm going to add this info below my video. Have a nice day

      @@easyfrenchdiet Hi. It turned out really well. I guess since veal is not commonly used here in the US, what I got from the butcher was the frozen shoulder cut. It was probably water logged cos there was a lot of water when I tried to brown it. I will have to find a better butcher. But your recipe was soooo good and so simple to follow! Thank you so much🥰

    Can you please do a video on how to freeze and defrost bread if I don’t want to use a microwave.

    • @easyfrenchdiet
      @easyfrenchdiet  7 дней назад +5

      Hello. The day I buy the bread I slice it and put it directly into the freezer. And when I want to have some for breakfast I just pull out one or two slices the night before and it's perfect the next morning. Or of course You can toast it if you forgot to pull it out the night before. Thanks for watching ☺️

      A single slice of bread takes about half an hour or so to defrost - rocket science doesn’t come into it…

      Or You can toast it if you are in a hurry. Have a nice day

    I hate meats wrapped in plastic. I miss the small, high-street butcher shops which were everywhere and wrapped the meat in brown paper and very friendly service, here in NZ.

    Love your videos! Can you describe what an Endive is?

    • @easyfrenchdiet
      @easyfrenchdiet  7 дней назад +2

      Hello. Thanks for watching. Yes an endive is a kind of chicory salad. In France we have a lot of recipes. For instance it can be roasted with ham and cheese or served raw in salad with beets and walnuts and vinaigrette dressing. I like every recipe. Have a nice day 😊

      In the UK it's called chicory. Nice in salads.

    The food in the USA is a disgrace. Quality and flavor is lacking. I haven’t bought a decent strawberry in decades no matter how much I spend. The high end stores are only high in price. Lack of pride, craftsmanship and integrity of our producers!

    All good choices for me except the beef….i do not eat beef…and very little pork or chicken. I would consider me a pescatarian. Good for the vegetables and fruit too.

      Hello. From a nutritional point of view, beef contains the highest level of 100% bioavailable heme iron and is the best source of vitamin B12 both essential for manufacturing blood cells and also for the normal functioning of the brain. but it's your choice of course. Have a nice day
