Hannah, my mom is 80 and London is her favorite city (she’s in Atlanta, GA, USA). I showed her your videos and she loves them (me too!). She loves how you chat all the way through like you’re friends out seeing the city. She’s not well enough to travel now, but your videos make her feel like she’s there. Thank you for your videos and please keep making them.
Hi, I once heard a female comedian say "Hey ladies, do we have any gold diggers out there? If so don't go by his car, he could be leasing that car. What you need to do is go to Whole Foods and look for a guy with an entire shopping cart of groceries, if so you can rest assured HE"S RICH!!!
Honestly, I never thought anyone was looking at my shopping cart in Whole Foods. Now I know, fill up my cart, walk around for an hour. Then put everything back. Leave in my leased car. I love it!
I live in the states and have shopped at WF’s since the early days and loved it especially the ability to find holistic products, delicious prepared foods, gourmet cheese dept and a great produce section. Back then they as a company were very controlled about bad ingredients and you always knew they had healthier options and their staff was very knowledgeable. When Amazon took over they changed so much and not in a great way imho. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a nice store but overpriced and has lost its special appeal.
Whole Foods was far more interesting and impressive before Amazon bought them. They used to specialize in local suppliers, farms and local vendors. Very nice vlog Hannah.
We have fancy grocery stores here in Prague, but the best foods come from the farmers markets, bakeries, pastry shops and butcher. They are also considerably less expensive than food at the fancy shops.
I second that. I love our farmers markets here. Last Saturday I was doing my weekly shopping there and overheard an American lady saying: "OMG look at all the produce!" I'm really grateful I live in Prague.

As one who shopped at the original Whole Foods Store in the US starting way back in 2000, I can tell you that it once was a fabulous company. The food selection was completely different back then. Then amazon bought the company. I wouldnt shop there if I lived near one as they have become a very commercialized and overpriced corporate entity.

Hello Hannah, I was an airline pilot for 32 years. London was one of my favorite layovers. Thank you so much for featuring the Whole Foods Store. I spent many hours at the store just looking at everything both to eat or take home with me. Yes, some of the stuff in the London Whole Foods is different from the Whole Foods here in the states. One thing, our Whole Foods here is nowhere as nice, well stocked and laid out as your store. This was a great trip down memory lane for me. So many of your videos are places I use to go in London just to enjoy the city and all it had to offer. I’m retired now and I sure miss my London.
I’ve never eaten packaged kale chips, and I hate the seaweed ones. However, I make them at home with fresh kale, olive oil and a zataar blend and they are addictive!
Hi Hannah Barkers of Kensington was a department store in Kensington High Street, Kensington, London. It began as a small drapery business, John Barker & Company, founded by John Barker and James Whitehead in 1870 it closed down in 2006 and was redeveloped to offices and small stores. The Roof Garden was above Marks and Spencer’s. The florist outside St Mary Abbots has been there since 1870 and was saved a few years ago when the council wanted to close it down. It’s been run by the same family I believe for 5 generations and is totally part of the High Street Kensington history. St Mary Abbots I believe is Kensington Palace local church and my mum always remembers Princess Alice, Queen Victorias granddaughter used to go every Sunday. I was Christened in that church and it’s beautiful and I think they are doing a big project to restore it. Thank you for starting off in Adams and Eve mews it reminds me of when I walked down there to go to my primary school which is sadly no longer there. Great vlog again ❤️

Seafood at 19:33. When my friend worked on the coast of southern England she would go each Saturday morning to the fisherman docks and buy seafood off the boat. She saved money and the fish was freshly caught.
Darling you are too hard on yourself! 💕You always look very well put together and your makeup and hair is always great - and even if it wasn't you are such a lovely person!
26:14 definitely noticed how neatly placed everything is. They must have workers going over the entire store in like a half hour or hourly schedule and move everything forward, because having worked in a supermarket before, let me tell you people are lazy and don't put stuff back orderly or in the right places at all. I've found a minced meat packet in the bananas and a tub of ice cream on top of the freezer glass shelf in the middle of a summer heat wave without a/c before. Like, you can't spend the 2 seconds of moving the glass to the side and drop that tub back into the freezer?! So yeah, seeing all that stuff neatly set up, with labels to the front means there's a lot of work going into the store looking neat. You panned over the veggie section really quickly, but the placement of the broccoli alone was like art. If people pull out the ones they want that will look untidy in a matter of minutes. I wonder if maybe you came in right after they did a round of tidying up.
I lived in Sth Kensington in the '80's and Wholefoods was a department store called House of Fraser, and a funky, punky sort of indoor market, it was fab.
I notice that too, when I go into a British department store or supermarket, I get hit with this blast of heat. If I'm already wearing a top winter coat I'm nearly passing out with heat exhaustion after about 20 minutes.
When i worked in Piccadilly there was a Wholefoods store literally two minutes from the office. It was nice to go for a mooch but so expensive, Use to treat myself for Christmas or something for my partner birthday but still preferred popping a bit further down piccadilly to Fortums.

I love hanging out with you Hannah. I've been to a few High Teas, shopping at Christmas and now on a walk about snooping. I love the off white flowers as well and a slightly weighted blanket....now Whole Foods...love the baking! Lovely.
Thanks Anna. Whole Food Markets was expensive in NY when I was there decades ago, so that's just a result of the specific nature of the business. Actually, some of the fruit and veg are comparably priced with organic products in other shops, and items on sale can be almost justifiable.
Hannah you did an amazing job of showing every section of that Whole Foods Store, which was a gigantic store! Also, I do like your new jacket....very nice indeed! Thx Hannah for continuing to produce 2 vlogs a week, which I am sure takes a lot of time to edit! Also, I like the way you always pick new & different areas of London to showcase the many beautiful sites around town! Have a great week Hannah, & I look forward to your next vlog on Friday! All the best, & stay safe!!!
I love watching supermarkets from around the world. I think for pre-packaged "fancier" foods the prices are probably alright. I'm in Germany where luckily the prices for food have always been a bit lower, but even here we do have rising costs. I can't really speak to the meats or even most of the dairy products anymore, since I've gradually been eating more and more plant-based, but I can say that I'm surprised how much more expensive e.g. cheese has gotten since the pandemic. It's definitely much cheaper to eat a mostly plant-based diet, especially when it's wholefoods based with less processed food/mock meats. But honestly, even the vegan cheeses and meats are starting to be cheaper than some of the animal products in the stores. And now here in Germany a lot of supermarkets have lowered the prices of their house brand vegan stuff to the same prices as the animal ones, so things like oat milk and stuff has become quite cheap. I think eating more plant-based might honestly be something people need to consider more, especially if the prices keep rising the way they are without wages keeping up...
Thank you for the video. High Street Kensington has changed somehow, but in a way its still the same. Good to see the buffets are back at the Whole Foods Market. Enjoy the food.
Hannah , you are a joy to watch. Love that you show all types of stuff from food to flowered and architecture. I’m 73 year old female and cannot travel. With your Videos I get to see what the world has to offer. And you look beautiful in anything you wear. ❤❤❤a Canadian fan ❤
Thank you Hannah for the Whole Foods video..In the Phoenix Arizona US area we have one Whole Foods, extremely busy, one story, no cheese room..there wedges of blue cheese is yummy and extremely expensive, but a nice treat..plus they have jars of clotted cream for my homemade raisin scones..it is 25 miles away from us, so we don't go very often, just special occasions...take care..
Mushrooms are fantastic for bulking out dishes, & where you may not have a lot of meat, like stews & soups- fried mushrooms are **amazing** & several years back, I found mushroom chips. This is coming from someone who never liked mushrooms as a child, & would pick them off Supreme pizzas - I thank my mother for expanding my palate when I was willing, rather than trying to force it...
Prepared food at 13:07. There was a food emporium like this at Pusateri's in downtown Toronto. I went a few years back for a sandwich. They sold it by the inch. A footlong roast beef sub was $36 CAD. A baguette was $7 CAD. They had a nice climate controlled cheese room. Of course stores like that do well where there are people who have money. Kensington is the same. Other sections of London will have discount food stores.
I like to get a few "treats' whenever I get the chance to go, I could go any day really but the traffic is horrible so I dovetail it with a trip into the city I am near and even better Trader Joes is just down the road, so win win!
My local Amazon Fresh usually has someone at the entrance to assist. Incidentally, if you pick up something and then put it back you have to make sure you replace it exactly as otherwise you will be charged for it! Being a sparkling water person I have ordered a pack of 12 Liquid Death from Amazon; only £14.76! And, don't put yourself down, you always look great!
Hannah, you do an outstanding job. Thank you so much for your videos. I enjoy all your videos thank you so much for taking the time to do them. I look forward to your next video and your lovely self explaining what's going on.
Happy Post Bank Holiday Tuesday, Hannah! I like the new jacket. Giving chore coat/art teacher vibes. Really enjoy seeing the grocery stores in London. Interesting to see the difference in prices and offerings. The Whole Foods near me have become much more competitive in pricing on certain items, sometimes being cheaper than the bigger chain grocery stores. Hope you have an awesome week! See you Friday!
Hey! Whole Foods! There's one across the street from me. I mostly go there to return Amazon packages. I do like their bread which they'll slice for you and I'll buy a cake for birthdays but they are generally too pricey for regular grocery shopping. Especially their salad and hot bar. Not much food for a pretty big price. It is fun to go and look at stuff though. Thanks Hannah!
Hannah thinks she looked trash here but i was thinking...This is possibly the best Hannah ever looked...That jacket is a wardrobe win...the blue was just bouncing of you...definite keeper... excellent vlog ....Good part of town...makes Oxford Street look like the Ghetto....and that Cafe Concerto that sits almost opposite is one of the best vibes....a Cafe Concerto food review would be good..
I live on a Pacific island that has banned single use plastic packaging and I have to say I am stunned and utterly appalled by the amount of plastic packaging! How irresponsible
Sir Richard Branson sold the roof gardens & some of the building(65,000ft) to a guy who is turning in into a Private members Club (3/4 floors) with the gardens as the pinnacle of it, should open later this year. can't wait for your review of that one, £500 + for membership 🙂
If you're keeping an eye on the prices of the produce and hot table items, there are some good deals at Whole Foods. The variety is unmatched by regular grocery stores, for sure. You picked out a few good items and the jacket is a nice choice, too
In the US, I don't think WF is much more expensive than other grocery stores if you are buying organic. The prices have definitely decreased since Amazon bought them. Prime members get discounts on some items.
In Australia food is super expensive now - strawberries nearly 10$ a punnet crazy!!!stores look expensive in England too- noticed a lot of processed food and everything individually packaged- so much plastic
I always love your videos. Its just like visiting with a friend. Maybe a tad expensive in this place, but who cares once in a while. can't wait to visit london.
Luscombe drinks are made near Buckfastleigh, Devon and they are delicious. We also have Cawston Press; the rhubarb and also the elderflower flavours are divine, and imo, even better
Hi! American here. How do you pronounce Buckfastleigh? Is it the way it looks? I'm always intrigued by names of places in the UK and the way they're pronounced.
@@celia61597 Hi, yes it's pronounced buck-fast-lee. I know, lots of English place names have odd pronunciations. I still get some wrong and I was born here 😂
The cut and colour of jacket looked effortlessly stylish on you, Hannah. And when you get to my age you accept that the face is what it is! 🤷😊 Amazon: The fact that it's cashless and camered throughout, with weighted shelving, IS a no no for me. I want the choice to use cash. But I liked your mozy around this and Whole Foods, lovely food, good for a treat but not as a regular thing. Loved your chat, and that bit of music right at the end! Cheers Hannah!
When Amazon Fresh opened some stores in my city, they were required to accept cash so as not to discriminate against people who didn't have smart phones. I was allowed to shop there once on that basis and found their prepared food reasonable. They shut down after the pandemic. Until a couple of years ago, when the hill became too much, I shopped at my neighborhood WF regularly. Used to get a lot of prepared food but once Amazon took over, the quality dropped sharply and it's no longer worth it. Can't believe the size of your store. It's about 4 times the size of my local store. As always, enjoyed your video. Love that jacket!
I have been in that Whole Foods shop at Kensington Hight Street. I thought most of their food was Organic. I prefer the Marks and Spencers down the block. Wish we had Zara home in Canada, they closed them. I did go to the roof of that Branson building to see the Flamingos and had to show my passport. It was lovely up there sitting out on the roof. I thought they had closed it a few years ago. So interesting. Glad you enjoyed your food you purchased. Too bad about the watermelon being overpriced.

No Hannah - it was not rubbish! I just love the way you talk to us and it seems so natural to me. It's a sort of pricey shop - but definitely a place to go to when having to cater for special occasions.
Hi Hannah you are such a beautiful lady with a great personality. I enjoy all your videos. Your visits to the shops remind me of my life in London. I left 16 years ago, I was fed up with the taste of chemicals in my mouth, no matter how good I prepared my meals there was always that horrible taste. Taking the tube was also a challenge plus the contamination problem. My nose was full of black stuff. I feel so much better where I live now, it is less stressful and a lot less expensive. All the best

Thanks for this video! Oh gosh how exciting to see this! I am from Trinidad and Tobago and been to London several times. Last year on 7th or 8th June I was right there inside Whole Foods, browsing and eating AND wandering all over Ken. High St. lovely to see it.Felt as though I could jump on a plane and whizz inside all those lovely (but a bit pricey stores) So what🫢 I do love them all and Ken High Street itself.
That wholefoods have more to go food than the one close to me in New Jersey. And the price is much better. I realized that food in the UK is less expensive than here in New Jersey and Manhattan. Thanks for Sharing Hannah
Loved the video Hannah. We don't have a Whole Foods in our town of 10,000 people - probably a good thing. lol I would definitely buy some things for a treat now and then but it wouldn't be my regular grocery store.
What fun❣️ Thank you for taking us shopping! So many yummy things...especially the lemonade Looks so good!🛍️
Buy what you like. You know what is too much and your sense of self style is excellent.. I enjoyed this video.
Never see that store before. 😮 was very interesting to see though. Hear your opinion .
Have a Good weekend 🥰
I really enjoy your videos and I like your humor. I can tell you make people feel at ease. It's like shopping with a friend.
Hannah WholeFoods was originally 'Barkers of Kensington', one the the great London Department Stores ...
I live on a Pacific island that has banned single use plastic packaging and I have to say I am stunned and utterly appalled by the amount of plastic packaging! How irresponsible
Not rubbish, I loved it. I love you chatting away to us. Going to send this to my Sis. Pretty sure she will love you 😊🙏🏻❤️
Sir Richard Branson sold the roof gardens & some of the building(65,000ft) to a guy who is turning in into a Private members Club (3/4 floors) with the gardens as the pinnacle of it, should open later this year. can't wait for your review of that one, £500 + for membership 🙂
More "elite" types.... living in their delusions 🙄
Weleda
I still get some wrong and I was born here 😂
Watching your vlogs feels like you're bringing us to hang out ❤😊 Thank youu!!!
Love watching you from 🇨🇦 and please 🙏 please don’t ever stop being you! Love you chatting all the way through that’s why I watch!!
Hi Hannah, I just wanna say I so enjoyed watching you in London. Please never stop and hi from Ohio and thank USA.❤
It’s a beautiful jacket Dear Hannah Ricketts ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ty Hannah I visited London last year and I was really amazed. I can’t to visit again some day. Keep up the good job
Very enjoyable
Expensive, but lovely store
Your jacket looks lovely too…
Thanks for the great blog!!! Liked everything including the jacket!!!
fun trip Hannah, and thanks for the chuckles as always!
Another great vid, Hannah!! ... What an amazing food store!! .. So much variety!! My favourite item.. The Liquid Metal water!! .. What amazing branding!! .. Very clever!! And Hannah.. why do you keep putting yourself down over your looks and mentioning your age?!?😪.. You don't look terrible!! .. You're bloody gorgeous!!😍🥰.. Please don't put yourself down again.. ok?!?🙏🙂🙏... Looking forward to your next vid on Friday, Beautiful!!!👍🙂
Hannah! So lovely! Inside and out! Please don’t let perception get the better of you- you looked a bit tired but who wouldn’t be with a full time job and vlogging, editing, and personal life, whew! I don’t know how you do it all. After my 8 hours of work, I go home for a nap 💤
Ooooo lovely unique vlog was fascinating to watch this. Thank you for sharing. Btw you so beautiful girl. Sending you love in the world ❤😊🥹🌍🫶
Paper bags in a country that never stops raining make it make sense love your jacket.stay safe stay beautiful🍸❤
The stitching on the towels is called blanket stitch ( just saying 🤣)❤
Oh yes!! Thanks!
@@HannahRicketts needlework at school wasn’t completely wasted on me lol ❤️
And you always look nice! Please don't be so hard on yourself! You're a lovely person!
I like your new jacket very much, brings up your personality😊
Thanks for this video! Oh gosh how exciting to see this! I am from Trinidad and Tobago and been to London several times. Last year on 7th or 8th June I was right there inside Whole Foods, browsing and eating AND wandering all over Ken. High St. lovely to see it.Felt as though I could jump on a plane and whizz inside all those lovely (but a bit pricey stores) So what🫢 I do love them all and Ken High Street itself.
May God bless u always 🙏
Woow very nice schopping centrum... 😃. Thank you very much for virtual schopping ... 😊😘
Hannah, get a meat thermometer that can alert you to when the meat is the correct temperature. I love mine.
I love your jacket and you do not look horrible! You always look beautiful my dear. Thanks for taking us shopping!
Found your channel today, love it ☺ Subscribed for sure. Also you look amazing. Keep it up 🥰
29:44 You went up to there with such open curiosity before enthusiastically declaring your love of crisps, then the slight pause and the complete 180 🤣
Hello Hannah lovely shoppinng around Kensington i lived in the Old Brompton Rd in the 60s on a working holiday have been back many times. The supermarket is where Barkers Dept store use to be it brings back great memories.
Always watch your blogs keep them coming
Ms Hannah, don't say you look awful, we are women, we wear many hats, I clean , I cook, I do laundry, and I am a health scientist, I'm a tutor, and chauffeur, I'm a jack of all trades 🌹⚜️🇺🇸🦋
I’m loving the new jacket Hannah but I don’t think the purple transit van is really you.
Hi Hannah, just wanted to say I absolutely love this kind of content, whenever travelling I love visiting supermarkets in other countries and it’s so nice to be able to visit them through your channel as well. So just thank you!
Thank you so much for your weekly videos !!!! And please, you look so pretty! Legit, everytime I begin to watch your videos I always think first « she looks so nice and fresh »
Thanks for doing High Street Ken, used to be home sweet home as a child in the 70s, ans as someone already mentioned Barkers was a department store
You are so funny…enjoying your blogs tremendously
