I almost cackled at the bald tires, because that’s definitely me. Boyfriends like you are needed.
I got the same lift kit on my 2016 Trailhawk. I also went with 245/65R17 which are 29.5" tires. Those tires were $100 less than the 235/65R17 I initially wanted. I have 11.5" clearance at the lowest point which is the rear differential. I love it, more capable with this setup now Not trying to be a Wrangler, but every trail I've thrown at it, it's impressed me.
BTW, I removed both front and rear swaybars to get more articulation. I live 10 minutes from work and it never leaves the town I live in so I deleted them to see how it'll handle.
Awww, you're such a good boyfriend to do that for her!! You inspired me to get mine lifted! It looks really good.
I own a Grand Cherokee Altitude and i must say what you did to that Jeep looks legit. So clean and classy. Well done sir.
I have the same 2018 Jeep Renegade in Black. After watching your video I'm lifting mine and buying bigger tires. Thank you.
100% getting spring compressor for the front. My Trailhawk wasn't cooperating, and I couldn't get the passenger front knuckle bolts back in. Really appreciate this video, every else glosses over that part. For the front sway bar links, I loosened the sway bar mount bolts so the bar could pivot down to fit the end links, then tightened the sway bar mounts back up while it was on some ramps. Way easier and you don't have to fight it. Great video!
Looks great .she was so happy you lifted her jeep for her .way to go.
Thanks for watching!
Friggin' bad azz, man! Thanks for sharing 👍
Installed this same setup on for my wife on her renegade last week. Easy. Helps to have an extra set of hands. But can be done by one person with a floor jack and stands_
I have passed you all in Bentonville multiple times. I have a white renegade with veteran hood decal and mountain bike decal on the side. Your renegade looks so awesome. The lift is my next mod, or the hitch kit. I lost so much clearance with the after market hitch.
High quality bro 👌
Thanks bro! Thanks for watching!
I just put the kit on my 2018 Trailhawk. The skidplate under the front control arms needs to be ground down. If you are using a pry bar check the clearance on the skidplate and control arm I had to grind off a substantial amount. Same with the rear.
you got 2 beauties, the Jeep & the Girl !!
Very helpful video! Did you get any problems having the alignment? The shop cant get my rear toe in spec after install...
I see the front spacers are offset to accommodate for camber - that's really good to know.
I literally passed you driving last weekend in the Grand Cherokee was on the way to Fay, looked dope in person
Thanks man! Have a few more things to do still. Thanks for watching!
Best boyfriend ever! Good for you.
Well done 💪👋👍
@OverlandingOzarks Unrelated question. What kinda boots are those you’re wearing in the shop? The sort of brown/tan ones.
Seems like if you put all the lower spacers in after you remove the struts the struts would go back in easier
so would this set up make the renegade have about 11 inches of ground clearance?
The TH trim adds about .8 so just kinda tried to do the math of the added height of lift and tires.
TH=8.7 in of clearance and comes with 28in tires
you changed to a 2in lift which is ab 1.2 inches more + 29.1 inch tires add another 1.1…so 11 inches right? or is that not how ground clearance works? I wouldn’t know 😂
Really liking the looks of the renegades and thinking about buying a used one for my new daily. How many miles on yours and any reliability issues? Wander if they can handle towing a small snowmobile trailer with a single sled. Looks real good lifted! 🔥💯🇺🇲
My wife and I own 2 identical 2015 Trailhawks. Hers has 111k on it with nothing more than oil changes and brakes. (I also changed the transmission and ptu fluid at 80k just for peace of mind) Mine has 65k on it and I tow a 5x8 utility trailer loaded with vintage Cub Cadet garden tractors fairly often, figure 1500lbs trailer included, and I have never had an issue. I cannot recommend these little Jeeps enough.
Just out of curiosity how much did this mod/build cost? I own a 2017 Jeep Renegade Lat/4x4 and I plan on upgrading some things.
What was the total height after the installing the lift and the 235/65/17s?
Damn good video
I have a Rough Country suspension kit for a Renegade 2017. I have 215/60R17. What higher number of tire do you recommend?
Looking how hard it was to lower the control arm for 2", I would think there is no room to push the ball joint on for 4".The lower ball joint would be vertical angle, am I wrong?
Hey man the new links that come in the kit says to make 10.25 inches in length.. they seem way to long to get back in place… what did you do?!
Thanks for not cutting out parts of the install. Was the 2 inch lift really noticable. And when you pull up to stock renegades is it a big difference?
Super noticeable! Especially with the much bigger tires! Night and day difference
It's a huge difference. I've lived my 2020 sport 4.5 inches and slapped 31 inch Ko2s under it and it sits up pretty dang tall.
I love it.
What lugs and nuts did you use for the spacers?
I checked the KSP page, there are no wheel spacers for Jeep Renegade, how did you do it?
Can you install the lift kit on my 2017 renegade?
You can take the wipers of just by lifting the arm en without a plyer
Does it have to be a trail hawk?
Nice
That’s nice now put on some 36 inch tires
My 2006 renegade 2.4l engine blew. Idk all 60k highway mileage and oil change every 4,000 Miles.
Has she had any issues with the rough county lift or tire rubbing since installing?
No issues! The spacers helped. 1" wheel spacers were perfect
How long did take for you to install
What if you put 4” inc Lyft?
could you please send me link of wheel spacers
Great way to make use of free tires just lift it
See how much bigger it feels 😄
that smile worth it .. gona fucking do it for mine
Why lift something if your not going to mount a more aggressive tire.
you are making this look way, WAY too easy. Just bought a 2020 Renegade and was looking to bump up the height a little just to make it easier for me to get in (6'4") and now I am worried I am going to actually do this!!!
and then literally 30 seconds later: torq, grinder, prybar... evidently I spoke too soon!
Clean
Haha. See how much bigger it feels? Lmao.
How much does it cost to do this ?
20:52. HaHaHa
Music very loud and annoying
Nice
