That was absolutely insane. Didn’t think a little renegade would impress me as much as this one but that’s a well built little machine! Nicely done mods man. Awesome rig! Definitely need skid plates on that kind of terrain. We don’t have anything like that around here, looked like a ton of fun.
That was a genuinely impressive display by the Renegade and more so by Austin! Proof that with some skill (and a good spotter) you can get through just about anything XD
Yep. Just like the Trailhawk Cherokee. It just does it and it doesn't matter about the flex. Range Rover said they did tests 20 years ago and found it didn't matter. They ditched solid axles and went with independent suspension. Imagine the renegade with 3 times the crawl ratio (ok, 2.92) and a rear locker too. That's the Cherokee Trailhawk.
For traction and capabilities wise, I believe that. IFS and IRS in that thing was perfectly fine. In pucker values though, teetering on three wheels and having a corner drop down is crazy scary. I will take my flex of the solid axles just so I don't feel that corner dropping! So crazy.
Did he still have tractions control and electronic stability control off? It sounds like it is struggling. I haven’t lifted mine renegade or put bigger tires. I always turn off the TC and ESC and put it in manual shift. I do not have the trailhawk though.
I honestly couldn't tell you what settings he had on. I do know it was in a mode where it mimicks 4 low though. It purposefully drops the rpms and spins the tires slower to be more controlled.
This is about a 35.2 degree breakover angle on this Renegade lol. Way more than that if it picks a wheel up lol. He did a 3.5 inch lift and gained another inch going to 30s from 28s , right ? If so, it's 35.2° breakover! This is nuts! This is probably 4 door Wrangler with 40s equivalent on break over. Maybe even more than that.
They're just salty because they think they have to spend 50 or 60k to have a decent offroader. The renegade is certainly no wrangler and has its limitations. But, if you are rock crawling or don't need a lot of flex (because the renegade has ZERO.. it becomes a teeter totter. Lol) then you'll be fine and have a great time
In this video he did not have the trailhawk version of the renegade. Yours is a better offroad than his. My trailhawk has never left me stranded in 8 yrs of offroading. Their is only one thing you need to change on your TH and that is to get a good set of all terrain tires. I have Cooper discovery AT3 on mine. Also get a chuck for tire pressure and a good air pump. Don't use one that plugs into your cigarette lighter, they will blow your fuses. Find one that uses your AC 120 outlet in the backseat because that outlet is wired to your battery directly. The most important thing I learned about offloading in my TH is knowing the appropriate tire pressure for the terrain your on and also knowing what your TH can and cannot handle safely. Your TH can tackle some truly scary terrain if you learn how to use it.
I don't know. I feel like maybe it would actually hinder it a bit. That electronic control was SUPER responsive. Letting go when it needed and grabbed when it needed.
It has a clutch system for the rear. Like almost electronically controlled clutch limited slip. The computer also brake assistance slipping wheels and stuff. Its wild
Not sure what you mean by this. Wouldn't it be the same idea as getting a rubicon? Or the TRD Tacoma? Or really any higher performance version of most vehicles?
L cameraman, purposely staying off the back of the renegade. I wanna know if my latitude is capable! I didnt see the trailhawk logo on the side, now im just left in confusion.
Offroading is in our blood; it's where we feel most alive and connected to the earth's raw beauty.
Very true!
I like the look of the Renegade 👍🏼
It's a very nice looking and capable rig my buddy built
I always thought they looked so weird especially compared to other Jeeps but I am loving mine already 😅
Hell i even puckered up for a minute!
Just bought a renegade and I'm extremely happy with it so far.... safe travels.
Thanks
Love watching those things and what they can do! So capable!
Same, just bought a Renegade myself. I was curious about some basic dirt roading, so was nice to see it legitimately doing some trails.
I'm picking my Renegade up on Monday ayeee
Sick! What are your plans with it?
I’ve passed stuck Wranglers with my stock Renegade on the trail in Arizona.
Renegades are pretty awesome and definitely a lot more capable than most think!
That was absolutely insane. Didn’t think a little renegade would impress me as much as this one but that’s a well built little machine! Nicely done mods man. Awesome rig! Definitely need skid plates on that kind of terrain. We don’t have anything like that around here, looked like a ton of fun.
I agree. I was shocked how well that thing truly did! Surprisingly, I don't think he hit skid plates all day!
@@4WDTrek it’s hard to hit the skid plate with one wheel 6’ off the ground!😂😂
@@nathanmccrary87 hahaha very accurate! I think at one point in the day, he really did have a rear wheel off the ground that high
Where
That was a genuinely impressive display by the Renegade and more so by Austin! Proof that with some skill (and a good spotter) you can get through just about anything XD
Thats for sure. He definitely pushed it to its limits!!! He did a great job driving that day. Hardly needed a spotter to be honest
Awesome! I have a renegade sport and I’ve been considering a lift. What brand lift does he have?
Have the Avid 2" spacers and the Eibach springs
@austinblake2747 is that your Renegade?
My wife's Renegade Sport goes everywhere my Wrangler goes.
Thats awesome. It surprises me how amazing that traction control works
On my 2nd Renegade Trailhawk they are so fun.. own over 18 jeeps.. My Comanches and the Rene are best
Dang bud. Thats a lot of jeeps!

The renegade really held its own! Huge credit to the driver though. The less capable your vehicle, the more capable the driver has to be
Thats for sure. He's a fantastic driver for sure!
That was quite impressive.. Well done..
He drives that thing super well!
@@4WDTrek That he did
That was very impressive 🤙🏽. I want to roll with u guys soo bad .. lol but I need to get my rig back .
Get that thing running and roll out there with us bud!
Great stuff, Guys! Love that 3 wheel motion. Haha
Thanks man! That renegade did so well out there! I was surprised!
Renegade basically a RAZOR with a jeep body 😅
Haha pretty much.
It's even crazier to know that it's not even the Trailhawk version and it's able to conquer those spots very well.
I know right? Renegades are pretty amazing. They are super capable rigs. Driver helps a lot too.
I need his spotlights and bumper. Just bought me a Trailhawk
Hit him up on his Instagram. Linked in the description.
Do Renegade's need transfer/ diferencial and transmission breather extension tubes while going through deep water/ mud?
I would suggest it highly.
I have a renegade trail hawk
I've never been stuck in mud sand or dirt
Those things are super capable in all environments!

Pretty sure Top Gun Maverick taught us that it’s the pilot not the machine 🤙🏼
Quite accurate. Also great movie
Can we have a list of mods and what engine that thing had? Wondering if i should get one and i live in Hawaii where the roads are gnarly.
For a more in depth info on it, hit up my buddy the owner. Instagram is linked in the description. Renegade_Sasquatch
I love my renegade. Little think is a beast
They are extremely surprising for sure! Very capable rigs.
@@4WDTrek We shouldn’t be surprised. At the end of the day they are a Jeep.
@@papabear463 That is very true! Plus, the driver of the renegade is super skilled as well
Was that renegade not a trailhawk then?
It is not a trailhawk renegade
Can we get a list of the mods the renegade has?
I'll see what I can get from the owner!
This is about a 35.2 degree breakover angle on this Renegade lol. Way more than that if it picks a wheel up lol.

Yeah for sure! The renegade is an absolute weapon! So much more capable than I ever thought
This is a whole new way of off roading 3 wheel off roading Renagades Rule I'm sold 2016 Trailhawk next week here we come
Those renegades are absolute weapons. I'm kinda jealous of his rig.
It's super well done
How you did the 3.5" lift without damaging the CV Axles? As far as I know it can handle 1.5" max without premature failure
This is my buddies jeep. I suggest reaching out to him on instagram for more direct answers. Renegade_Sasquatch
Crazy Renegade 😄
Right? Super capable rig!
I will love to own one
They are pretty great rigs!
I just bought a 4x4 trailhawk renegade, and everyone is giving me a hard time about it being a girl car 😭 Lol
Get that thing on a trail and blow them away! Or show them this video and prove that it can hang with the big boys!
Nah, Libertys are girl jeeps not the Renegade. Hell I've seen more women driving Wranglers around here than men
Nope it's a proper little jeep , they are just jealous

Same fun for a fraction of the price. 🤣
Idk about fraction, but less price, new for new!
3 wheel "Belly of the Beast"
Nice
someone give me the mods you pput on that i want them for my latitude

just got the renegade
Very nice bud!
Хорошие ребята , хороший JEEP RENEGADE ❤❤❤
The renegade is super awesome. Stay tuned and subscribe for what we will be doing to that renegade coming up!
Do renegades have lsd?
It has a clutch system for the rear. Like almost electronically controlled clutch limited slip. The computer also brake assistance slipping wheels and stuff. Its wild
It’s always about the driver skill not how well built the rig is
I would whole heartedly agree with you up to a certain point.
If renegade had Live rear axle .....
Very true. But then it wouldn't be so impressive!
Nice to see Wrangler welcome a renegade 😅
Any wheeler is welcome with us!

Do you take it out on trails??

As long as you have an extra $20,000 laying around, go for it 👍

L cameraman, purposely staying off the back of the renegade. I wanna know if my latitude is capable! I didnt see the trailhawk logo on the side, now im just left in confusion.
The renegade is modified a bit. Has a small lift and slightly larger tires. But other than that, it's all driver skill that got him through it all!
