In this episode, work continued on the 36. This time it was treated to some new coilovers and an angle kit. To stay on budget maxpeedingrods coilovers were used, despite their bad rep, for the price these coilovers cannot be beaten. Its also nice to refresh the almost 30 year old shocks and springs the car has. For the angle kit we went with one from Alibaba, again due to budget constraints. For the price, the kit offers good value, and the build quality is solid. The kit has good reviews from many others in the e36 community that have run it. We started off in the rear of the car replacing the shock and springs. From experience the springs are quite tall so running it with no adjuster usually yields a good ride height. The fronts were a little more involved as the whole control arm had to be removed as many of the suspension components were replaced by the angle kit. Once together the car drove pretty well, much better once a wheel alignment was done. She is now ready for her first drift event!
