Good job on getting coilovers and trying them out! You most likely have some things to set up with them, so I thought I'd give you a few hints. A slight toe out is good for steering response. Naturally, exact settings depend on the specific make and model, driver preference and driving style and many other smaller factors as well, but slight negative camber and a little toe out up front is always good. On my car I run -2 camber and 2mm of toe out. The rule of thumb with street tires is: if you can see it, it's excessive. Also, check your ride height up front - you don't want it lowered past the point where your control arms are horizontal. That will most likely introduce some undesirable handling characteristics. Good job and keep practicing!
I've always stayed away from installing coilovers just for the fact that i've never installed them before. With watching your video seems like i've overthought the process! Looks like i might be suggesting coilovers from now on, on any drag/track cars that come in!
And there you have it. Not just a masterclass in auto maintenance, but also a masterclass in RUclips production - don't even bother with the others. The best visuals; the best editing; the best on RUclips. You just can't beat a ChrisFix video!

Tray Muse that sounds great and all but even though turbos are an effective means for extra power they aren't great for a course because of the need to gain boost it isnt going to provide as much power as you would think throughout a course. A blower would be more effective in that case, but i was asking for more of a cheaper means to get that extra little power out of the motor.
Intake, testpipe, exhaust, etc are basic starters. Basically small engine upgrades, nothing is really "cheap" though, I own an 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT and I've been modifying it, and everything is easily 150-400$ per mod (sometimes more) coilovers are 800-1200$ for a decent brand. Expect to spend a decent amount.
Since this is an SN95 Mustang, it has the Ford 4.6L Modular engine. Stock it makes 215hp and about 280 lb/ft of torque. The main restriction is in the heads and intake, so a cheap and easy way to add power is to get the heads and intake off of a 1999-2004 Mustang GT. Those are known as PI (performance improvement) components, and they were standard on the 1999-2004 Mustang GTs. With the PI heads and intake your horsepower jumps to about 260hp, with the torque being around 300. Quite an improvement for some parts that you can literally buy at a junkyard. For a little more performance, you can also toss in a set of performance camshafts from Comp Cams, along with some beehive valve springs. That should put you around 300hp for under $1000 all in. Another thing that really wakes these old Mustangs up is an improved diff ratio. Something like a 3.73 or 4.10 rear end will really help these cars move off the line.
I don't know all whole lot about he dynamics of drifting but I've seen a lot of professional drift cars being able to soak up bumps a bit better than your car appears to in the vid. I'd recommend trying to soften them up a bit, you don't want one bump in the middle of a drift to throw the car off balance, especially with a solid rear axle

It's probably illegal to remove the airbag wheel and replace it with a non-airbag wheel just like it is here in Australia, it's fine to change the wheel on older cars that don't have airbags so you can change it on your classic car and have no issue.

chris is so professional he always mentioned the safety so.people can"t get hurt keep up bro you really doing a great job I.wish.I.watched.your video befor a bought me car I got screwed
I agree with you completely. I tried different spring rates and spring shapes for my car. For daily, I stick with fat shape coils with the same spring rate, these fat coils behave like progressive springs, just less progressive. They are a bit less responsive than straight coils in sharp turns and small bumps. But you can go through all the little bumps and they don't hurt your back, I don't want to have my back fuxed yet. And they are less bouncy when going through small bumps too. Then I dialed the damping up using electronic kit when I want my car to feel a little more sporty, dial it down when driving with family. It's still much more stiffer than stock though, since the spring rate is still the same as ones that come with the coilovers kit.
mcheddadi it could be that they're too firm. You're really supposed to go from full soft to full firm to get an idea of the two extremes and tune from there. It looks like the spring is softer than the strut so maybe softening up the dampening would be better.
Hey Chris I’ve watched every single one of your videos and I have to replace a power steering pump can you do a video on it? I’d really appreciate it. I’ve replaced brake rotors, pads, and hubs on my 2007 Nissan Murano only by watching your videos. Thanks!
ChrisFix In the video will you also be talking about each individual component and how to clean it without damaging it? That'd be awesome and informative!
Chris I've been watching a lot of your videos in order and it's so cool how you break everything down. So excited about cleaning and possibly making repairs on my own car. Chris, when should you replace your spark plugs?
Roberto Hernandez when they don't work
would a bad spark plug make my car loose HP?
a bad spark plug your engine will misfire. but a worn spark plug can reduce burn efficiency and lower your fuel economy.
If its been a while since they have been replaced there is no harm in replacing them, most plugs are 2-4 bucks each. But do make sure you replace the plug wires aswell :)
Most newer cars can go 100K miles easily on a set of plugs. Most of them are iridium they last a long time. You should be able to find the recommended interval in your owners manual or online somewhere. Plugs only cost a few dollars each and take just a couple minutes to change.

Imagine a world with mechanics as good as Chris plus honest! No one would ever have to buy a new car and could save tons of money!!🤠🙏🔧👏

think you need more damping and less spring. the car is bouncing way too much no?
"they're too firm". My late husband liked them firm!!!!!
Hey Chris I’ve watched every single one of your videos and I have to replace a power steering pump can you do a video on it? I’d really appreciate it. I’ve replaced brake rotors, pads, and hubs on my 2007 Nissan Murano only by watching your videos. Thanks!

Even though this video is out of date, I still like the old Chris Fix
You should make new a video on how to paint your calipers
+Sector great idea!
Literally take your caliper, take out the brake pads, mask off unwanted areas, and paint. It's not that hard
Riley Koziol Well I don't know which paint to use if Chris doesn't tell us. I'd better wait for him before doing anything bad
Riley Koziol you need to clean the calliper for a good finish. And spray painting isn't as easy as it looks
Sector well then just look up someone else doing it and see what they recommend or maybe ask on some forums or something
Chris fix static af now

Chris I've been watching a lot of your videos in order and it's so cool how you break everything down. So excited about cleaning and possibly making repairs on my own car. Actually lift up the hood to just see what's in there, something I haven't really done since getting a newer car. Thanks for all the transparency and how-to vids. All the best.
