Yes same here. I’ve never seen anyone nor had success with just cramming them in soil un rooted already and having them survive after..... Typically you place the cutting in the first and back fill the soil so the roots have room to grow further down... Pothos water typically only works while emerged in water for quite sometime in order to successfully root..... but I’m always up for learning something new with plants

I have a monstera and need to give it a sturdier stake as it now has nine large leaves. I hope to see a follow up of the monstera cuttings and I plan to binge on all your RUclips videos!

Hi I've got a monsteria cutting i judt put into a pot with it looks like orchid soil. The leaves got burned in the sun . 1 leaf is ok , the plant is sturdy, and it looks like theres a new leaf formimg. This cutting was just pulled off the mother plant, 2 weeks ago. Thank you for your advise, i will nurse it. I have put it in my bathroom with lots of light. God Bless you

I would check locally. Ask around and find a local plant lovers group on Facebook. A lot of plant shops and smaller businesses are hurting and could use the business. If you can't find a small business, you can find them at big box stores. You may even find a plant swapping group on FB.

They sell 4-inch baby monstera. It would take many years at medium-low light to be big. (if it doesn't put out new leaves, it's going winter dormant or the lighting is too low)

I know! I often go browse in the plant section at stores like walmart or home depot when I am going there for other things and I see so many plants in terrible shape. I am tempted to ask them if I can just have the ones that you know won't make it if they stay there. Sometimes I take stems or succulent leaves that have fallen to the floor and then propagate them at home!

Are you talking about the aerial roots? If so those are super normal and your monstera is very happy! Usually the aerial roots will help to support the plant so potentially it might want a moss pole! :) Hope this helped!
