    I completely forgot to instruct you to tighten the slack once you insert the poles into the cups.
    Make sure to do that people. - Luke

      Hillebergs are overkill for most of American landscapes. Hence why ultralight tents are so popular there and not burly strong Hilleberg tunnel tents designed for strong wind we get here in northern Europe

    When it's a matter of winter survival you might come to the conclusion that price and weight don't matter. This tent rocks. I've watched Luke's videos where he uses it and all I can say is that's the one for me. I won't winter camp until I have the money to buy it.

    Hey, Luke: you are getting AWESOME at doing these gear reviews. Lots of content, crisp presentation and good analysis supporting the audio. I guess there is nothing like a well-designed barrel tent for stability under wind load. Some Hilleberg's are used on Arctic expeditions. I don't mind owning something that may be a bit over-engineered for my needs. Better safe than sorry!

    This is 100% identical to the very first tent I bought here in Canada back in the 1980s made by a Canadian company called Kanuk. My first camping trip went from Canada through the USA down to the bottom of Mexico andKanuk.

    Now you've got a tent! The beauty of Hilleberg is that the fly and tent go up at the same time. You can set up in wet weather and not get the inside of the tent wet.

    Setup time is why I shelled out the 💲💲💲 for the Tarptent Moment DW even though I have eight high quality tents already. It sets up in the time of its namesake: a moment. Pitch in under 1 minute on easy ground. 2 minutes with uneven or more challenging ground. Love it after a long day and ya just wanna get done! The Hillerberg seems even easier! Amazingly simple setup design. I wonder if there's a budget option with such easy setup??

    When I was still new to tunnel tents I made the rookie mistake of not making sure those tension straps were fully released before bending the poles into their final positions. No snapped poles on that occasion, luckily, but it got me into the habit of checking the straps when pitching to avoid any breakages.

      Hey man, I have been looking over this tent and saw it feature in your previous vids. I think it will be my first 4 season. Really looking forward to your full review and just want to say, like most of us here I am sure, really trust your opinion and there are not many reviewers on here you can say that about. Thanks for what you do buddy.

    I tested the Nallo 2 Red Label last week and must say that it was amazing in the cold but only at night, as soon as the sun rose that thing turned into an oven and there was no relief even in the wind with all the doors/vents fully opened. That to me makes it a one season tent and a night time tent only. They really should reliable/categorize these tents, if they cannot be used in all 4 seasons in comfort they should not advertise them as such. No issues with the weight, simplicity of set up, construction etc. but it was miserable in the sun, I was not able to rest during the day in the tent, very disappointing.

    • @DemiGod..
      @DemiGod.. 9 месяцев назад

      Get an anjan 2 for the other seasons. A 4 season tent means it is for the 4th season, a 3 season tent though means that it is for 3 seasons.

      Well, ya know Mr Scott...I guess the best thing, and the worst thing that has happened to the the sport of camping/hiking/climbing/expeditions...One just needs to look at all the failed attempts to Everest, and all the remaining bodies. Good thing is, if I wanna head to a (fairly remote area) in Big Sky, Jackson Hole etc for a few days to scout wild life movement, this dome, or one like it, would be my choice:)

    • @Rdeboer
      @Rdeboer 6 лет назад

      A cheaper, similar tunnel tent (but still in the expensive range) is the Nordisk Halland 2 LW. It's half the weight of the Nammatj 2, so probably not as durable as a HIlleberg black label, but it seems to get positive reviews in regards to its construction.
      They also do an even cheaper (heavier) version - the Halland 2 PU, which is priced more towards the entry-level end of the market.
