My mom would make this every year before Christmas. When I was 18 and at my first duty station in England, (retired AF also) she made I swear 30-40 lbs. of this recipe, (must have taken her a very long time to make that much) and she mailed this HUGE box/plastic leaf bag full and other assorted goodies to me for Christmas 1980. Needless to say, I was a very popular Airman on my floor of the barricks...I shared with everone and they would come begging for a week or more to get another bowl full of it, they loved it too! She doesn't make it anymore, but I tell her this story quite often, of how she sent motherly 💞 from Iowa to a WHOLE lot of young Airman a long way from their homes.
Hi Tammy, Chris, and Paul. Great intuition! This is going to be good! I can see Chris and Paul are a load of fun when together! That sure does look yummy! This was so much fun to watch! All three have a blessed week! Love ya!❤❤
I made two batches this year and I always add pecan halves in mine! 🤗 I don’t use those flavors but I do use vanilla. Don’t stir it while it’s boiling because it will bring the temperature down. 😬. It’s actually very hot when it comes out of the oven the last time so you really want to turn it out on some wax paper to cool. Then break it apart some and then store it in the container.
My wife makes this, same recipe except the butter flavoring and burnt sugar flavoring. She bakes hers in a long pan, says it's easier to stir. After it's done, she pours in on wax paper on the table to let cool. Then she breaks it up to put in containers. We enjoy your channel.
I used to make it but the burnt sugar flavoring is the bomb! I always used a large sheet pan .it was easier to break up after it cooled .I’m making some of this
That looks absolutely delicious!! I love Carmel corn. Thank you Paul for sharing this recipe. Thank you Tammy and Chris for having Paul on your channel!! God Bless you all🙏❤️✝️
I agree the air popper is the best!!! No unpopped corn!!! I use the same type of recipie and after you make your Carmel and mix together!!! Cook it in the oven stirring every 15 minutes for 1 hour!!! I like to spread mine on wax paper to cool!!! I loved your Carmel recipe!!! God Bless!!!
I always made fresh Carmel Corn, but I quickly continued to stir so everyday coated then put it out on a cookie sheet after coating everything. I got every cornel coated. Thanks for this recipe.
Had to come back on and tell Paul I am making his Carmel corn recipe as we speak! I Googled the burnt sugar flavoring and found two good recipes. Made both cause I wanted to make this recipe for Christmas! From what I have tasted while baking in the oven SO Good!
That’s the recipe I have always used. So good! I always used the air popper also. Thanks Paul for coming on Tammy’s show! I was just thinking I would make some for Christmas this year as I haven’t for quite a while.
I made this for the first time 2 years ago, and it was SOOO GOOD that it terrified me. I could see myself gaining 10 lbs every time. So I promised myself and my family that I'd only make it once a year.
Who’s Paul? Tammy’s brother? I have been making a similar recipe like this for years. Only I never heard of the brunt butter flavoring. I will have to try this. Thank you!
Wowwweee! I made my first last month. I bought the same red maker too! I bought all my Belize neighbors one and taking them with me Friday. Today I was so excited to see your video!! My burnt sugar and butter flavorings will arrive Thursday, just in time for my trip. I am making everyone carmel corn and gifting them the makers and the flavorings - assuming grandmas 100 year old recipe is the best ever. Thank you Paul😎
I've made this recipe for at least fifty years :-) Good call on the air popper and I use a basket strainer with holes large enough to let the clinker kernels fall out to avoid breaking teeth. We keep the popped corn warm in the oven while making caramel, and I also like to add dry-roasted peanuts to the batch. Thanks for making this video so I can share with friends and family.
I used to cook corn in a non-stick skillet with a minute amount of oil. My corn popped really big and it tasted great as Carmel corn. Just don't over oil.
I saw a ridiculously small bag of caramel popcorn by the checkout today for a whopping $6.69. Going to try this out. Thank you for this recipe and demonstration, Tammy. Watching and waiting now!
My grandpa made caramel corn for all the kids when they trick or treated. He expanded to make cake shaped in an angel food pan. Everyone loved his caramel corn. I miss him, he was amazing. Your video brought back memories!
Thank you, Paul. It came out fantastic. I did add Spanish peanuts for my own kick. Recipe Followers Beware: This Caramel Popcorn becomes very very addicting!!!
@@19604carmen I put them in the popcorn and pour the Carmel over then in the oven and turn every 15 minutes for 1 hour. Then I pour the mixture out on a flat lined surface and let it cool. Then divide up into gallon Ziploc bags as I think it keeps it fresher. Hope this helps.
This is the same recipe I have used for years. I used all the old Kitchen Klatter flavorings and given their recipe books to my daughters. Be prepared to gain at least 10 pounds until you quit making this caramel corn for a while love your videos!!
THANK YOU for sharing your recipe! I had most of the ingredients, but the butter flavor+ burnt sugar flavoring. This is our fourth batch, and I must confide how addicting this CARAMEL CORN IS!!! Happy Holidays ❗ 🎄
I think it's time I buy a air popper,I can't tell how much I love caramel Cory, thank you so much,I talking about the recipe a few days ago,you answered my 🙏😁💯💯💯💯🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love caramel corn!! I used to buy my favorite called Hunky Dory from Stuckey's. It had pecans and almonds in it. I am already subscribed to Paul's channel...since he started it!
I saw a recipe once it was different only different was before they got rid of the toss they sprayed they spoon what they tossed with and it made it better to toss it
Wait, so grandma had an air popper 100 years ago?... lol. Anyway I loved the banter between the three of you. Tammy knew just when to step in and help! Well done.

I have that same recipe, I put pecans in mine. I also give it as gifts and it is always appreciated.
Do you put the pecans in the Carmel, or do you put them with popcorn and pour it over? I want to add them too. Sounds great.
