My dad was the fudge maker in our family. We didn’t have a candy thermometer so he used the cold water test. It was so much fun waiting to see who was going to get to eat the fudge from the water. I think he intentionally checked it enough that all of us had a chance to test it. Good old days! Merry Christmas!
Looks yummy
The best pralines i have enjoyed were in Texas from Katie, Texas. I have never tried making them. When I try to attempt, I will definitely try your your recipe.
You and your husband are a blessed couple and GOD will keep it that way. ❤
Tammy, your makeup looks so pretty. Lipstick color looks great on you.
Dear sweet Tammy and Chris. I am losing my sweet momma and I came home and was just beside myself. Then I sa down to watch some youtube to get my mind off things and I have to tell you how much spending time with you both in your kitchen(I feel like Im there ) has ment to me today. I know I have to let her go and trust the lord to bring her home to be with him and my dad...Im a mommas girl all the way and I can't think of her not being here with me. but she is 88 and she is tired of fighting cold and chf and its time. so I thank you for this video as it brought me a bit of peace this evening.
Love Robin from Detroit
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your mama Robin. I am so glad I can be of some comfort during this hard time. I love you, Tammy
Both look good I'll have to try it thanks for the tip God bless
Those candies sure look delicious.
I lost my momma's recipe for this when she passed. This looks like it. Thank you!
Reminds me of making these with my mother 50+ years ago. Thanks
Holy Smokes that looks AMAZING !!!! thank you for sharing.☃🎄
I spray my smallest ice cream scoop (about 1" across) with oil and use it. It is quicker than using the spoon and they might be shaped more consistently round.
Looks 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 yummy 💕
Love watching you do things like the water trick.
You make it look so easy, but there's definitely a technique!! When I'm asked for my recipe, I say sure then write down Chris and Tammy at Collard Valley Cooks! You guys are awesome❤️🔥
this result looks legit well done! praline candies are really great cut in small chunks inside of a king cake!
Just made these with out a sugar thermometer- I thought it went wrong on the middle but with a lot of beating it come together beautifully at the end. A much more forgiving recipe than I have used for fudge before
I learned a lot today! Especially that evaporated milk is cream! Thank you!❤
So happy I found this recipe, goodness
These look good and easy to make! 😊 My Mom used to have a heating pad plugged into the counter where she made the candy and set the bowl on top of that to keep the mixture from setting up too fast. 😊
That’s a great idea!
Love y'all!
Thank you so much for this video! I just returned from New Orleans and want to make the pralines they were so delicious when I tasted them for the first time down there! However, just as you said, the ingredients are expensive and I would be heartbroken if I wasted all those ingredients not knowing how to fix the candy if it didn’t turn out right so thank you thank you thank you for this video! God bless
Love your apron! Love how encouraging you are when you cook!
I just love you; watching your videos…and your hubby seems great too!
Yes whipping cream should hold up well if refrigerated prior to piping!
😜 hugs to you and Chris
oh how i want to make me some of these .i only have made my peanut butter balls its only 6 days till christmas i better get to it ,love you two lots
I love that candy , especially the chocolate ❤
Really good candy making tips Tammy, I use them all plus a few different ones, Domino sugar is the best but if I can't get some a quick wiz in the food processor does the trick. Have you ever noticed that using a slotted wooden spoon makes it creamier, I have.
Beautiful job! Wish me luck!!!!
You can do it!
Mouth watering. And it doesn't look complicated.
I think I have all the ingredients, too.
My sister has been wanting pecan praline ice cream for a while.
She can never find the ice cream flavor anywhere though.
I might surprise her and make homemade pecan pralines and homemade vanilla ice cream and mix it up. I think I'll just buy a really good quality vanilla bean ice cream at the store instead.
Yeah, it's really cold right now but I love ice cream in the Fall and Winter.
My sister will freak out in a good way.
Ana God has Blessed you, you're a awesome sister
Love this recipe!
Hi Tammy & Chris! Ooohh! Who doesn't LOVE pecan pralines!!? Simply cannot eat only one!! We made a batch of pralines a couple days ago using a buttermilk fudge as a base for the pralines. Will be making more pralines this week and will use your recipe this time. I know there will be no leftovers with my crew!! Thanks for another video y'all! 🌞
Oooh! My mom loved these! Such sweet memories. ❤️

I am so very thankful you made this. I adore praline and had no clue how to make it. Thank you thank you ,thank you~
Tammy I have all of the ingredients to make these thanks for the recipe guys
I would never have believed putting those chocolate pralines in the microwave would soften the candy the way it did. Wow! What a GREAT tip, Tammy!! I love pralines but I've never made my own. I'm going to make these. They look so delicious!
Tammy, they look so good.I make the regular, but I haven't made the chocolate. It sure is a good idea to reheat in the microwave cause you really do have to work fast!!
👍they really look yummy 😋

Good to lnow.
Looks yummy
What a great candy to make this week! God Bless and Merry Christmas!
We made this tonight following your video as we went. They were yummy!
Fantastic!
This is a wonderful video! Also, Ms Tammy, you look beautiful!
The only praline recipe I ever used called for only white sugar, no brown, but this recipe is delicious! Family approved!
Wonderful!
Add some cornstarch to granulated sugar in the blender to make powdered sugar. Commercial powdered sugar contains cornstarch to keep the sugar granules from sticking together.
Shiny and glossy is better than dull and flat.....in any circumstance!!! LOLOL.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
This is the third video of yours I checked out. Let's just cut to the chase- can I move in with you? I have chickens, can contribute with fresh eggs...kidding about moving in. I think that if you don't kill me I'm gonna drop in exhaustion after trying all these recipes. Merry Christmas to you all.
I've used my food processor for sugar. Sometimes I added a vanilla bean!
My favorite candy. Mmmm I want a warm one.
You explain everything so well Tammy , the littlest detail makes a difference ❤
All I can say is 😋
You're making me flash back to my Mom making anyone that wanted to date me come over and make fudge with us before she'd let me go out with them.
Out of all the Pralines I've seen this year yours by far looks The Best! So Creamy and Beautiful, I'm gonna try yours first. Thanks Tammy
Pralines are the best! ❤❤❤
Yummy goodness ❤❤❤❤❤
두분 참 잘 어울리는 한쌍입니다.
Looks delicious 😋
This Pecan Pralines recipe looks so delicious 😋 Ms. Tammy and Chris.
You two are so cute, Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to y'all. I save every one of your videos and you're the only channel I do save.. got me some Mississippi pecans before I move back to Ohio definitely making these for Christmas .
Can you use a digital thermometer to check temperature? I love your videos. When I want a great recipe for ‘old fashioned’ anything, I often look here first.
That is a google question
Thanks Tammy and Chris! Going to try these. Bless you both. Happy Holidays to You and Yours.
I’ve never had pralines before. I guess they’re not a thing up north. I definitely am going to try making them this week though!!
Awesome!! I am going to try your recipe for sure!! We love giving them as gifts too. Thank you Tammy and Chris!--Tressa Daigle😊
I have a old recipe that you make them for in the microwave. It’s so easy. I haven’t made them in years. My husband and son are diabetic.
My absolute favorite candy got to try this.
This is fabulous. Merry Christmas to the sweetest couple🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
You two r so funny together:)
Oh Tammy…never been sadder to be allergic to these good ingredients😫😂❤️ How I wish I could make and eat these!! But at least I get to watch your video! Lol. I miss my granny so bad and your cooking reminds me so much of her. ❤️🎄
Walnuts and pecans are the only nuts I am not allergic to. I cannot use dairy either, but there are plant based creams out now, I just might try the recipes with that. Grew up eating all these things, well I did have the dairy allergy but did not know what caused a lot of the side effects. Back in the day no one ever thought about it. Was not till I was out on my own and at the Drs that I found out what I should have been told. About 30 years ago started getting all these other allergies as well as asthma. Saw an add for Country Crock Plant Based Cream. Will give it a try.
@@willothewispl sorry for your allergies, I also didn’t develop allergies till I was in my early 20s. country crock plant cream is great! Also Thai coconut cream is a good alternative. However nothing ever works quite the same. I’ve yet to find a good egg or cheese alternative. Also would be unsure about evaporated milk/condensed milk replacements.
I love pecan pralines ❤ both of these looks delicious!
Try 2 buttered spoons for dipping. It goes very fast that way.
Thank you for explaining the recipe every step of the way, well done. I’m going to make Pecan Pralines as one of my Thanksgiving desserts. I like your saucepan too. Where can I order one just like it? 😊

This is one of my favorite candies! I've made Pralines many times! You gotta move fast n keep it creamy! Don't over cook it! Chop your chocolate up before you cook your candy! Have everything ready n Don't Trust your thermometers! They're not always right! The cream is my favorite! Thank you Chris n Tammy! Merry Christmas! God Bless. 🙏❤
Tammy I made these this morning and they are drying now. They came out so creamy and delicious. I was in New Orleans not long ago and bought some from Aunt Sally's they were horrible and I mean that too so grainy and had no flavor what so ever. these are amazing I love your recipe. I love all of your recipes for that matter. I'm wondering if you eat a Pineapple Casserol? I would love to know if you do would you give us your version on it.
Thank you and God Bless you and Chris....
Wonderful!
These goodies looks very tasty!! Thanks!!😀😀
I enjoyed it. 😉
Please ship me a few, I love your channel.
