Even on recipes that call for unsalted butter, I’ve never found that a little extra salt from salted butter made a dish worse. If anything, it makes it better. I once heard that the difference between home cooks and professional chefs is the amount of butter and salt they use. Humans love salt and butter, even though we know it’s unhealthy, but we don’t see into the kitchen just how much they are using.
I don’t usually keep corn syrup, but I need to test this recipe with honey or maple syrup. And other types of cereals! I love recipes with lots of possibilities!

Reminds me of making peanut brittle. This looks like a good recipe to try. Gives me an idea, put 1 box of cereal in a pan and the other in a different pan. Add nuts to only 1 pan so there is a choice. Thanks.

My grocery list for goodies to make this year is getting longer!! I have a question...would this benefit being turned out on parchment or wax paper for cooling? Or will the pops on the bottom still get crunchy too? Thanks for a great recipe. I am soooooo looking forward to the holidays..I don`t dare make your goodie recipes ahead of time lol
Mr. Click, this looks great! I don't want to look stupid, but that pan looked disposable. Is that something they sell at restaurant supply stores? That might come in handy! Removing Karo syrup from my dishware is one of my least favorite tasks. Best to you and yours!
That looks way too addictive. I might try to eat that whole thing in one night. I've done something similar a few times but I used Cheetos and it's awesome.

I’ve seen them at lots of places including Walmart, Dollar Tree, local grocery store, etc. You shouldn’t have trouble finding some.
