Hi, I have Year 10 mocks coming up soon as well and I really wanna ace them to reduce workload and pressure in Year 11. Do you have any tips bcuz this is our first time sitting exams and that feels a bit scary, especially when youre in a grammar school coming from a lower income household. I can imagine you'll be busy with dental skl (and making vids for real gcse and a-level asw) so sorry for the disruption
@@mimahamed7337 My biggest thing with mocks is take them seriously - do the work but DO NOT put too much pressure on yourself. Mocks are a diagnostic way for YOU to find out your weaknesses, not for you to get the perfect grades. Otherwise they would have just made you sit your GCSEs now. So do the work, watch all my vids on my ace your GCSE playlist but at the end of the day don't burn yourself out. Try your best and your best is all you can do.

Early igcse math paper 2 today! Couldn't have done it without you. ❤
I have been revising passively from year 10 up until the new year. I watched all your subject videos but still procrastinated, took huge breaks and this had a huge increase on my screen time. I really strugg to revise essay based subjects, well it's only ENGLISH LITERATURE. From watching his, i feel more disciplined to smash the exam a get the grade i want (grade 7-8 and at least a 6 in Literature).
I think definitely have a go of deleting your apps that are distracting you during work time, download them back as a treat or until exams are over. I've got videos on how to deal with procrastination so defo give it a look: ruclips.net/video/MYMuHoWKzkI/видео.html

Yes I had a history mock and i couldn't remember all the information and blurting didn't help. Does s9meone know a puicj way to learn a lot of information for a slow learner

Look at which component you struggle with most. Look at the specifications and don’t learn anything else extra. Cram only the vital knowledge you need. But most of all stay optimistic
I think the best way is to do some past papers and see where you have knowledge gaps. What I mean by this is that looking at your notes is such an info overload so instead just do some questions and see what you're missing and go from there

don't stress about it, you're only in year 9 so you have plenty of time before you actually need to properly start revising so take this time to relaxxx. i promise you in year 11 you're gonna be laughing at yourself for even being worried about that
literally, as the other person said, RELAXX you're in year 9!!! I really wish that when I was in year 9 I put less effort in school and just relaxed lol. It is good to work hard but don't put lots of pressure on yourself because things that happen from yr 7-9 don't really matter
SUMMARY!
1. Start now! Doesn't matter how little you've done
2. Rank subjects you find hardest in terms of difficulty (hardest to easiest)
3. Write subjects u find hardest for each topic and prioritise for each subject (use pass mocks to help)
Perfect revision session
1. start with hardest thing and start with questions straight from memory
2. Look at mark scheme and UNDERSTAND them + watch summary vid of needed then go back and see if you can answer (covers exam techniques and weak spots)
3. Do past papers
Maximise priorities
1. Use pre-made revision sources (active revision and cuts down time)
2. Pearson revision guides
Do as many past papers as possible
1. Pretend its the real exam. Time it and DON'T leave a question blank
2. When marking, analyse why you got it wrong - redo wrong questions in a few days
Essay based subjects
1. Blurting technique then write an essay in that topic
2. Get advice from teachers

As GCSE is in a few months can anyone give me the past paper method for GCSE sciences I flopped since year 9, what I do is print the paper and write the answers and copy the question and put the paper away and remember writing the answers and try to remember to stick into my head.

hi sola ! is it better for me to past papers of biology and chemistry or learn the content ?
my teachers (mostly chem) have been doing a thing where they give us a past paper and you answer from memory and then you can use textbooks to write the answers you didn't get because it still helps you remember it and it's written down idk if that will help but it's helping for me
would you recommend memorising mark schemes? x
I would try to understand it first, to make sure that I can actually recall it more easily. I wouldn't recommend blindly memorising though, because sometimes you need to change your answer based on how they want you to apply it to the question.
I was making flash cards for maybe the past 1 and a half week, do you think I should just start using PMT flashcards to save time?
If you find that you're spending more time making flashcards than actually revising then definitely start using pre-made flashcards. Also, start exam papers from now onwards to help :)

Can anyone give my some English and combined science revision tips as I write the past paper answers on the paper itself and learn can anyone give me a easy and quick way for science especially, for past papers.
i would 100% recommend CGP combined science revision cards. they are AMAZING. do what works for you: when i dont understand a concept like equilibrium i visualize it and apply it to real life situations. whenever youre stuck on something, no mater how easy it may be ALWAYS ask your teacher.
For english i would recommend quizlet and sparknotes (theyre both free) for quotes and ask your teacher to read over your work. i havent got much to say for english becuase im only at a low 7 but for science i am at a 8

I’m assuming you do 9-10gcses so what I done is I ranked my fav subjects to revise and picked 3 subjects a day to revise. So whatever that subject is I recommend at least do 35mins of watching vids/notes on a topic u don’t understand. After that take a 5min break(don’t use your phone) then do another 35mins but this time do practice qs. There are lots of sites like bitesize, examq(maths) etc.. u got this

yes, you can ask for past papers from teachers and see what topics youre weak at and then use videos or answer exam questions targeting those weaknesses until you understand/get marks!! if you focus on the topics which questions normally have more marks (3+) rather than one/two mark questions it should gain you a lot more marks

Physics and maths tutor is great and they have exam questions and flashcards.
If you don't know any of the science content, I suggest watching cognito videos for specific topics or science shorts yt channel for an overview of science exam papers

Start reading them now then, watch videos, make notes about quotes, make notes about themes, practise questions, and essay structure. Learn how to analyse and link. If you're good at english language itll help a little in lit.
I am in yr11 and I got a grade1 in every mock in maths so I am definitely going to fail I am not good at any of the maths exams questions.
Go on maths genie and go through all the topic questions .There is also videos for each topic . Its actually very helpful.
