I loved Tulia back in 2019, I was very surprised and felt sorry for them for not getting into the final. I honestly thought it would be at least a Top 10 song in the final. And yes, I loved that Go_A brought that style of singing back to the ESC, Solovey was nice but Shum is absolutely brillant.

This is a very old pagan traditional ukrainian song for invoking spring. The Shum (noise) in this song is a mythological personage, the spirit of the forest ( and his name Shum means sounds and voices of the forest) When people sing this song (it calls vesnyanka from the name of vesna - spring) , make noise and dance, they call on this spirit, and he rather brings spring.This is the meaning of this song. The tempo grows all the time, reaching a peak, as in ritual songs and dances of many nations. She sings that she sows hemp. And the dancers imitate sowing seeds in their hands. Hemp was very important to Ukrainians. They made clothes, oil, food, ropes, medicine and much more from it. The singer's green clothes mean the green fur coat of the spirit of the forest Shum (like a forest has green colour of leaves and grass) . Around her, the musicians form a kind of magic circle.And the dancers are holding circles of light. All these are symbols of the Sun . And the Sun rises on the stagescreen too. I think that this song calls for spring after winter (they want to show that winter is a coronavirus pandemic). Noise (shum) is an ancient spirit of the forest in Slavic mythology. There was a ritual dance, where the rhythm changed and accelerated. I already love this song.

The main character of the video was an ardent fan of the group Go_A, who was invited to work by the band members themselves. According to the plot, a person yearns for communication with people and dreams of returning to his usual life without distancing. I think that this song calls for spring after winter (they want to show that winter is a coronavirus pandemic). Noise (shum) is an ancient spirit of the forest in Slavic mythology. There was a ritual dance, where the rhythm changed and accelerated. I already love this song.
