We had a Hyundai Palisade for years and absolutely loved everything about it! We never had any issues with it and it was the perfect family vehicle that gives you a little more room.
I bought a new Santa Fe in 2003, still driving...never had any issues. Only replaced brakes, wipers, tires, and oil changes over the years. Absolutely love it. What sold me at the time was their 10 yr or 100,000 mile warranty. I figured if they are willing to have a warranty that good it must be well made. Lived in Alaska so it saw lots of snow and ice, now in Idaho and we drove it down the Al-Can highway. Love it!
We have the Santa Fe Calligraphy, we have owned it for 2 months and have no complaints. It is so comfy, has under knee rests on driver side, driver side has resting seat, you can pull over and push a button and it lays flat. Wireless charging is the best we have had.
My son and daughter-in-law have a Hyundai palisade and love it. I have a Honda pilot, my second one. I love my pilot, never have problems with it. Run away from VW they have lots of issues. Stay safe with the hurricane this weekend.
I know you love your tech options. But are you looking at engines, possible repair costs, safety concerns, etc? You can't make every decision on appearance and coolness of the technology. Ask your mechanic what one they recommend.
We’ve had a Honda Pilot, Subaru Ascent and Toyota Highlander. I LOVE my Highlander. The Ascent was wonderful, but the transmission went out (under full warranty) at 15K miles. They may have fixed that issue in newer models, but something to be aware of. The Pilot was good, but I really like how the Highlander handles and rides better. Have fun shopping! You’ll love whatever you get!
Invest in consumer reports at least for one month. They buy all of the cars they review and give an honest review. They rate most vehicles. I never buy a car with out checking there first.
Look at the hyundai santa fe and the hyundai Palisade... I have owned both love the santa fe just smaller suv now I have the palisade and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. has 3 row still gets good as mileage. Hyundai warranty you can't beat it... i dont dialike anythjng about my palisade and i loved the santa fe juat wanted more room.
We just bought a brand new VW Atlas R line about a month ago and it has been the best car I've ever had. Its loaded with all the features I wanted and the most comfortable car ever with a new baby and toddler! I would definitely consider this car you will love it!❤ love yall btw!
Yes, buying a car can bring on a lot of fights & disagreements! Just enjoy looking & being together & remember you love each other! Have fun on your adventure! Sending prayers, love & hugs! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾❤️
I will say I’ve bought two of the same cars, one that was FWD and AWD makes such a difference, so much smoother and I honestly get less carsick in awd cars.
We have a Hyundai Tuscon and love it! I want a new Santa Fe, but we don't need something that big. I love Hyundais! We haven't had any issues with them.
I love my VW Tiguan! I have had no issues with it. My mom has the VW atlas and she loves it. Before my Tiguan I had a VW beetle and loved it too. VW have been in my family for a long time.
We have a 2009 VW Tourag. We have had no issues with it at all. If you are going to lease let Jared have the Tesla. Then after the lease Britt can pick the next car. We have a Tesla model S and love it. I would love to get the model X. My husband is a tech guy and I am old school. 80 years old. Britt you will be surprised at how fast you will adapt.
I just leased a 2025 Kia Telluride and I loveeeeee it! Super impressed by all the features and safety ratings. My telluride has the ambient lighting too!
Also my son has a Tesla Y and he loves it! I’m very impressed too! The technology of his car is simply amazing! ❤ Best of luck with you car journey! I know you’ll fine the perfect one for you both!
I wanted a Telluride. Loved it, but just like you guys, it's a $ price tag! I settled for a Sorento third row with captain seats and have never looked back! We have a we 2023! Lease, if you go that route, remember you can only drive so many miles! & yall love adventure!
Team Telluride here! I have had two deer hit my vehicle. I never felt the first one hit me. It did a ton of damage but I didn’t even feel a bump. It’s very safe!!
I like the Santa Fe a lot better than the other ones. I wish you guys the best on the car shopping. Praying for you guys to choose the right one for you and your family. I think mana Jo and your mom would love the Santa Fe better! Britt your dad would love a short style car and Jared your dad would like anything with speed.
We never ever bought new vehicles in my family but good used. The moment you drive off the lot the value goes down. You save so much money & get really good vehicles with used. Especially if you know the prior owner or contact them before purchasing which we ALWAYS have done also.
⚠️⚠️I was between the Telluride & Palisade but extremely happy I went with the Palisade I tell people it rides and feels like a Cadillac without the outrages price and way more jam packed with technology than the Telluride 100% I’ve convinced 3 family members to buy one and they couldn’t be happier it would be the perfect combo for you two⚠️⚠️
I have a Kia Sorento, and I absolutely LOVE it! I also would not buy a vehicle with a 3rd row without middle row captain seats! They are life changing! If you have a middle row bench seat, then the 3rd row is so annoying to access, especially if you have car seats in your middle row!
We have the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy and absolutely love it!!! It's comfortable, great driving experience. Lots of amazing safety features. Amazing cruise control system. Excellent gas mileage for the size. The handling of this size vehicle is easy. The wonderful surprise was the turn signal with CAMERAS!! To watch the traffic on your blind side and the road/curb. A definite bonus!!! These features have prevented many close calls from vehicles coming in from nowhere. 360 cameras, sensors, etc. The steering wheel has infrared for cruise control to alarm the driver to keep your eyes on the road. This vehicle has a "alert" recommendations for ☕break that appears on your dash 😊. It's a wonderful vehicle compared to the Range Rovers but, a more reasonable price. *Promise, you will love it!!!
My brother has had 2 Tiguans from VW They’re surprisingly big for their footprint. Powerful and enough space for visitors and your Florida family! My brother sister in law has 2 large dogs, they fit in the trunk with their harnesses. So enough room Britt for luggage and Trader Joe’s bags galore!
Addition information regarding the Santa Fe Calligraphy.. the infrared sensor will not allow the cruise to function if you wear reflective sunglasses.. We found this out after my husband and the sales rep could turn on the cruise no problem. I was wearing sunglasses that have reflective coating like a mirror type you see on skiers. So, the infrared couldn't pick up my eyes 😊. It's a wonderful safety feature. The handsfree functions are really great too. The dashboard on the Santa Fe Calligraphy is very well designed for the driver and passenger. The color changing ambient lighting inside the vehicle is great to allow visual comfort.
Happy Thursday Jared, Britt & Finley. 🐕🐕 Oh the joys of buying a car hey? 😉😅 On the Tesla. It's great that thinkers came up with the electric capability. 👍 But, where I live. The infastructure is no where near ready for good usage IMO. So it would be a HUGE nope for myself and the hubby. And I don't have a place to plug it in to charge. Do you guys have a charger system in the building? 🤔 I think the first question you have to answer is lease or own. And then make the decision on which vehicle. You two will make the right decision. Of that I'm sure. 😃 I hope you're not getting too bad of weather there today in Ft. Lauderdale. 🤞🤞
I love to lease. I always have a new car and I don’t drive far to work so I don’t have to worry about milage, but you will always have a car payment. I have a Chevy equinox I will be on my third one. I absolutely love it. Good luck.
I’ve owned 2 Santa Fe. Make sure you get it in the AWD option for Utah winters. It’s an awesome car in the snow and with Hyundai, you get a lot for your money!
European cars have really high maintenance in comparison. If you are planning to get one, I would go with either the Volvo or Volkswagen. Of the ones I've seen you test drive, I would go with the Telluride. The interior of the Santa Fe was nicer looking.
Same thing happened to me i went to get a palsada and saw the santa fe was shocked, test drove telluride my wife didn't like peanut butter look I brought the santa fe the interior is amazing i brought all black caligraphy it is amazing!
Omg! I love that last one. Give up the peanut butter seats. It has everything you want and the tech Jared likes. And it matches Jared white Miami outfit 😂. Hope you are staying safe during the hurricane 🙏
Please test drive palisade. I have the calligraphy night edition and always in awe when I drive it daily. The lane assist features are so smooth and it shifts lanes for you!!!! You just click which side you’d like to go to and it does it when space is available. And the 3D camera views are spectacular. Also noticed you have children to include in car and the child safety features are amazing. Auto locks doors if a car comes beside so your kids won’t be able to open door at all until clear. And has hazard warning of door collisions. Also has fancy colored led lighting inside.
Also the massaging features vary. From pelvic, lumbar or whole body. So no aches after long drives 😊 go for the drive with details on features from an employee. You won’t regret it!!
Toyota all the way. I think you would love the Rav4 or Highlander. The full panoramic sunroof is a game changer (especially in Florida). They also have hybrid versions. I hope you love them as much as we do!
As you plan for kids, and having your nieces and sister next door, I would personally go SUV, 6 or 7 seater. The passenger captain chairs are a game changer, especially with kids. I will never go bench again. The maintenance on Volkswagen is spendy! My husband won't do Volkswagen after maintenance issues. . Tesla, In Florida, where you may need to evacuate, I would Not go Electric. Traffic and EVs will leave you stranded. I would personally go Hybrid. Also, not sure if you are noticing, but with new Emmision laws, they are starting to put V4 sports on a lot of the full size SUVs V' V6 Engines. We live in the Hills. The V4 puts so much stress on the engine of a full size SUV. It's gutless. I would highly recommend if going full SUV to go V6. We do not regret that decision at all. Also, check those crash ratings and maintenance reports. Good luck in your hunt.
If you could go with a third row...it would make life easier when you have family come down to visit. We have two car seats for our grandchildren and we have a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. My daughter has to sit between the car seats in the back with the children and my husband cannot come to the airport with me because my son in law sits up front. Thank goodness my daughter is only 5’ 1” tall and 108 lbs! I love my Sante Fe and this is my second one. I would go for a third row if I buy again. Love and hugs. Good blessings for your shopping adventures!! 💗🦋🙏
You really should check out the 2023 models on both the Palisade and the Santa Fe. I will tell you the grill on the front of both is absolutely beautiful and the (Calligraphy package) is s clean and nice the detailing is very nice. I would be looking at the Limited addition and the Calligraphy addition.
I am team Santa Fe so far … that is a pretty car. What I noticed was the more square design of my RAV4 does allow me to fit more suitcases than my brother’s model Y. The more square the back hatch and wheel well placement matters if it “narrows” in the back of the vehicle. Not sure if you know the answer but with Hurricane weather etc. like Florida is having now would you have access to charging or will you apartment complex let you install a charger so you always have a full charge. Happy car shopping … this has been fun to follow along. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE the look of that Santa Fe the white one but….. my Mom had 2 Santa Fe and both of them broke down CONSTANTLY……. Constantly. I would take that into consideration even though it’s beautiful.
That one with the white interior the steering wheel looked small, like a go cart! LOL.. it was really pretty though but so far I’m still sold on the Telluride.
I LOVED my Volkswagens!! I had a Jetta and a Tiguan, both were the best cars I’ve ever drove in terms of acceleration, smooth ride, comfort, and practicality. If you take car of the car and get regular oil changes and maintenance, they are great, reliable, safe cars and so fun to drive. I was also in a bad car accident in my Jetta and I walked away without any injuries. If you don’t care about the driving experience or comfort, Toyota is always in the highest for safety ratings. I had a Corolla and my bf has a Tacoma and both are the most uncomfortable, crammed vehicles I’ve sat in and the pickup is terrible.
Hi I live in Miami Florida about 30 minutes from fort Lauderdale where they live. And we've only experienced some wind and rain but it hasn't been bad.
Have you thought about looking at the Chevy Traverse? We have a 2021 and love it. Has 3 rows like most of the other cars you’re looking at and is pretty spacious. Also the new 2024 is supposed to be amazing. Good luck car shopping!
I loved my Sante Fe... but decided I needed a smaller car to save gas. I did have the bench seat in the middle to put my Yorkers bed. Go for the Santa Fe.
I just realize that I'm more and more like Jared. Yes, Santa Fe all the way. The Telluride was too old. Yes, it does look somewhat tougher but the looks giving me an old vibe. Jared, if you get Santa Fe, make sure to get the HEV or PHEV engine. Even if you don't care about the environment, the boost of the electric motor and ICE engine will feel like you have bigger engine. The slow speed drive will also feel more relaxing because it's on electric. The best of all, no matter how bad you want to drive it. It will always give you a high gas mileage, even the city drive will give you better mileage than highway drive.
We had a Hyundai Palisade for years and absolutely loved everything about it! We never had any issues with it and it was the perfect family vehicle that gives you a little more room.
had? what car do you guys have now? what made you get a new one?
I bought a new Santa Fe in 2003, still driving...never had any issues. Only replaced brakes, wipers, tires, and oil changes over the years. Absolutely love it. Think safety. Research safety ratings! That’s what’s important.
The new car smell I just love. ❤️❤️❤️ Oh to have a new car. 😊 And the light-color seats are better for Florida weather. ☀️☀️🌞
I know you love your tech options. But are you looking at engines, possible repair costs, safety concerns, etc? You can't make every decision on appearance and coolness of the technology.
Ask your mechanic what one they recommend.

I LOVE my Nissan Rogue. My hubby and I rented one for a multi-state road trip and decided it would be our next car.
I LOVE my palisade. I have had amazing experiences with Hyundai. Great customer service and warranty.
I've watched your car shopping, I still like the Telluride. I hope you get your decision soon. Stressful!
Look at the hyundai santa fe and the hyundai Palisade... I have owned both love the santa fe just smaller suv now I have the palisade and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. has 3 row still gets good as mileage. I Love my VW Atlas Cross Sport!..I love the heavy secure feeling I have driving it!!

You should totally get a Toyota Highlander. They are awesome. My mom had one and it is the greatest SUV. I love the RAV4 as well as I own the RAV4.
If you don’t need a third row look at the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid just got one and loving it.
Please be safe down there! I’m keeping you both and your sisters family in my prayers! ♥️🙏🏻
I absolutely LOVE my Palisade calligraphy. Definitely test drive it. We love all the space and tech.
I’ve had a Palisade since November and it’s my favorite vehicle ever!
I wanted a Santa Fe. Even went to the dealership to buy one but came home with Palisade. I just loved the room in it.
I love my VW Tiguan! I have had no issues with it. My mom has the VW atlas and she loves it. Before my Tiguan I had a VW beetle and loved it too. VW have been in my family for a long time.

I just got a Palisade and LOVE it!! I’ve only had Hondas and Toyotas previously, but I absolutely love my Palisade!!
Just bought a 2024 Tiguan. Absolutely love it! Good luck car shopping! Love you guys!
Also my son has a Tesla Y and he loves it! I’m very impressed too! The technology of his car is simply amazing! ❤ Best of luck with you car journey! I know you’ll fine the perfect one for you both!
Telluride looked so rich❤❤️, if you could get the Santa Fe with the Carmel interior that would be a game changer
I drive a 2022 VW Tiguan and I absolutely love it! It has plenty of space for 5 adults and a nice big trunk. It is so comfortable to drive and ride.
My son has had an VW Atlas with no issues. They love it
They just changed the look of the Santa Fe' for 2024. The older ones are better looking! I have a 2022 and I love it!
I wanted a Telluride. Loved it, but just like you guys, it's a $ price tag! I settled for a Sorento third row with captain seats and have never looked back! We have a we 2023!

I like when Britt says : it feels heavy 😂 ALL vehicles are heavy. 🤭
But i understand what she means: it feels solid and safe! 👍🏼🎉
I like the Santa Fe a lot better than the other ones. I wish you guys the best on the car shopping. Praying for you guys to choose the right one for you and your family. i still say stick with the one you love and get the kia one that brit fell in love w

So many choices! Not easy to decide. Good luck!
Brittany the telluride fits you perfectly ❤
Gross
We have had 2 Santa Fe’s and have loved them!
Check all of the performance records by manufacturers, and how well each holds their value.
European cars have really high maintenance in comparison. If you are planning to get one, I would go with either the Volvo or Volkswagen. Of the ones I've seen you test drive, I would go with the Telluride. The interior of the Santa Fe was nicer looking.
I personally would get the Telluride since the Santa Fe has an unreliable transmission (unless they get the hybrid).
Our friends and some of our family have a Toyota Highlander and love them. I like a full size suv. I’m on my second Tahoe right now.
I'm thank you guys are going to pick just the one for you.😊❤
Santa Fe. Love the white interior
Same thing happened to me i went to get a palsada and saw the santa fe was shocked, test drove telluride my wife didn't like peanut butter look I brought the santa fe the interior is amazing i brought all black caligraphy it is amazing!
Your blue jeans will rub off on white seats
This is true! I had a Taurus that had off white interior and my seats needed cleaning a lot!
YES!
When you have kids you will be soooo sorry you have white interior!
I own the telluride and I love love it. It’s great for when the grandchildren come as they say it’s so fancy lol
between Britts style and Jared's tech knowledge I'm sure they'll pick the perfect vehicle. Fun to watch 🙂
I’ve had a 2003 Santa Fe and love it
I LOVE my Santa Fe!!
The one with the white inside looked lovely
But the Palisade - you won’t be disappointed!!!
Toyota all the way. I think you would love the Rav4 or Highlander. The full panoramic sunroof is a game changer (especially in Florida). They also have hybrid versions. I hope you love them as much as we do!
Great video. I prefer the look of the Santa Fe so far.
No EV....can you imagine trying to evacuate out of Florida with no ability to charge? No white interiors with kids.
As you plan for kids, and having your nieces and sister next door, I would personally go SUV, 6 or 7 seater. The passenger captain chairs are a game changer, especially with kids. Good blessings for your shopping adventures!! 💗🦋🙏
The seats of the Santa Fe look super comfortable 😉
I did all the same car searching you did and I settled on the Mitsubishi Outlander and I love it. You may want to look at that also
You really should check out the 2023 models on both the Palisade and the Santa Fe. I will tell you the grill on the front of both is absolutely beautiful and the (Calligraphy package) is s clean and nice the detailing is very nice. I love Hyundai. Definitely go all wheel drive. I'm on my third Hyundai (Tucson) the warranties are great! Great company
that Telluride with the Peanut-butter interior is my dream SUV choice car
I leased mine at first, then when the lease was up, I bought it! 🥰
Love Hondas, Friend loves Subaru. We have both had good experiences.
We have a 2020 telluride with the peanut butter seats and the wood finishes and we absolutely love are car
And the cool seats in the summer have been a life saver specially here in Arkansas
Santa Fe is beautiful!
I hope you guys post something somewhere to let us know how you are doing with the hurricane! Prayers to everyone in Florida! 🙏🏻
Hi I live in Miami Florida about 30 minutes from fort Lauderdale where they live. And we've only experienced some wind and rain but it hasn't been bad.
Please check Consumer Reports recommendations and their used cars to avoid list.
We have a Hyundai Tucson and a Hyundai Kona and we love them.
I have a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fa turbo and I love it
Have you thought about looking at the Chevy Traverse? We have a 2021 and love it. Has 3 rows like most of the other cars you’re looking at and is pretty spacious. Also the new 2024 is supposed to be amazing. Good luck car shopping!
Santa Fe love it and comfortable I’m with Jared
Love the Honda pilots, had a 2013 for 6 years and now just got a 2020
I loved my Sante Fe... but decided I needed a smaller car to save gas. I did have the bench seat in the middle to put my Yorkers bed. Go for the Santa Fe.
Yorkie's now drive a Kua Soul and love it
I don't envy your deciding between all those options! I know you will make the financially responsible choice.
That bronze color looked nice with black details
