It is a beautiful place. Can’t wait to see where you stop next!! Enjoy West Virginia! Lived there for 6 years and it such a beautiful place!

You all did a great job leaving your parents’s yard. Your folks seem very sweet. I think it’s great what you are doing with your travel experiment. I also try to take secondary roads and visit small-town America. You are correct about the coldness in the east and coldness in the west. It is the humidity and it will make the cold “bone chilling”. Good job on upgrading to the TST tire monitor. Now, to get a good RV or trucker GPS so that you can put in your dimensions and take some of the worry about low bridges out of the equation. They also have fuel stations listed.
There is definitely a difference between east coast cold and here out west. When I was planning to move out of MN (couldn’t deal with the cold and snow anymore) and my boss wanted me to move to North Carolina. I had felt winter there and said absolutely no. It actually felt worse to me than the dry MN cold. Now I’m in southern NM and winter is a dream. I will take low humidity over high humidity at any temperature.
The low humidity makes such a difference! We wintered in Phoenix a few years back and it got cold at night... but not bone chilling. Somehow 45 degrees can be bone chilling in Florida. 😂 -J
Looks like Trinity made an impression on Grandma. So sweet. Consider adding Outdoors RV to your list of RVs to research for your next purchase. They are an Oregon company and are well made with a reputation for toughness. When I was looking for a used one to buy I found relatively few of them. Apparently people don't get rid of them.
That narrow bridge had me cringing for sure!! I was a truck driver for many years before I retired this year, and low bridges were always a nightmare of mine when I had to go to rural deliveries and pick-up. I used Garmin truck GPS, and backed it up with Truckers Path. You guys are doing great! LOL, but geez that water spout... yep, memories of Alaska for sure!
LOL! I was just glad she hadn't gotten to anything inside! Also - love the -F!!!! Let's make this a thing on youtube for couples so we know who we're talking to! 😁 -J
It was cool seeing that you went through my town (Cumberland). My dad drove a truck for many years and made regular passes through that underpass. It is very narrow. There is a casino in the resort at Rocky Gap.
I can see us doing fewer interstates in the future... but the not knowing where we're stopping when we start is probably a thing that was only for this video. -J
This is a great video 😂😂😂!! We always flew by the seat of our pants when we full-timed! We rarely prepared as well as you do!! K, you're right on about how the cold feels west coast -vs- east coast! Looking forward to following this new adventure to Florida! Be safe and be well!❤😊
Came across your video while scrolling & I'm glad I did . I've watched a lot of "Rv couple " videos & yours is unique, plenty of energy & local roads which is different . That over pass where you guys went under like a tunnel had me a little worried, glad you made it. 👍🏾 Safe travels to the sunshine state & happy camping. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yes, the weather has been crazy, and you are totally correct that the wet cold is miserable because of its moisture content, it makes you suffer with a deep chill! Sorry that you drove back down south with little relief but up and down temps are still better than all the snow on roads! These side roads are going to stress me out too! We did it once and all vowed to never do that again because it was soooo sketchy! Loving the views though. Thanks
I find the ratio of happy accidents to unpleasant surprises is definitely worth the stress when things are uncertain or even just flat out go wrong. But I can see where that would not be true for everyone.
December 1980 we left Seattle and set off in our brand new 28' travel trailer. Bunkhouse with the step up in the back that was taller than the air conditioner in front. An atlas and local maps were our guides. We learned a few things on this trip, 1, my wife is not a navigator. 2, my wife cannot not tell me which way to turn to back into a campground site. 3, when you pull into a small town to stop for dinner, if a couple of guys pull out of an alley and say "Come here I want to talk to you" you run the other direction. Some of our other memporable events, my 18 month old son reached up and put his had on the inside lip of the tailgate as I was closing it. Smashed put turned out he was fine. We lost our dog in a campground in Dallas but found her wandering around an hour later. We never figured out who let her out of the trailer. We were following the slightly drunk manager of a campground in South Carolina to our campsite when she drove over a small railroad tie retaining wall. I didn't see it and just followed her and it ripped the rear stabilizers of the trailer. We parked in an out of business Dairy Queen in New Jersey to eat at the McDonald's across the street. When we left I made a wide turn and the rear of the trailer caught the pointed end of the DQ sign and ripped a 6 foot long gash in the side of the trailer. The first time I ever rebuilt a carburetor was in Carlsbad, New Mexico. We made a giant loop around the US. It was a great trip and we have many fond memories as well.
I just love how the list is something that would make most people cry and you followed it up with "It was a great trip and we have many fond memories as well." That's how attitude makes such a difference. I'm sure as each thing happened there were struggles and frustrations, but once you get past them it's easy to see the positive and turn the negative memories into those "Remember when" stories that fill the house with laughter. 🙂 So appreciated you sharing!! -J
Great video. I love seeing you two and the adventures you get in to. You are very inspiring. Back on top form with this episode. Can't wait for next Friday. We need more of Trinity. Happy Christmas where ever you are.
I love my Road Atlas! I will always use one even with with GPS! 10 years ago, I drove from Arizona to Denver, then headed towards BC Canada to visit family! My cell phone back then wasn't the greatest and for whatever reason, I didn't want to use GPS, because I never really had before! 🤷 I grew up with maps and am pretty good at reading them (for a girl)! 😂😂😂 I am one of those people that likes to see the big picture, when traveling to a destination that I have never been before! Also, a Road Atlas doesn't need a cell signal and will never need charging! 😁😁😁 Basically, it's whatever works for you! Now, I use both! Have fun on this new adventure! And, Trinity looks so cute, in the back, looking out the window! Bork, bork, bork! 🐕
I’ve stayed at Rocky Gap several times, most MD state parks have the gated code entrance. It’s a nice park, best part is how close it is to Cumberland which is a great small town to visit. They have some nice restaurants and a very cool tourist railroad that leaves from a beautiful station downtown.
Cumberland... the super picturesque town that is ruined by an interstate plowing through the center. (I just mean the picturesque part is ruined - not the town itself!) -J
@@OpenRoading yeah it’s not in a great spot, the downtown business district was just redone and it’s pretty nice and away from the highway. i like that it’s not super busy
I've got a personal (not shared) spreadsheet for people who have offered a space to stay. If you don't mind could you send me an email to rvopenroading@gmail.com (I don't need a specific location - just your email address so that I have a contact should we ever be in the area and want to take you up on your generous offer!) -J
OMG this episode is gold! love it! I can totally relate to so many aspects to this episode. I too recently bought the same TPMS unit, but with 6 sensors (4 for the rv and a pair for the rear truck tires) haven't installed it yet tho, look forward to hear how you like it.
Kayln is right on the pronunciation of Mifflintown. I used to work at that (Mifflintown) Sheetz back in the early 90’s! The Sheetz has been rebuilt since I worked there. You were getting pretty darn close to us! Great episode!! Y’all were CHAMPS coming down off the blocks at your Mom and Dad’s.
@ I’m not sure! The diner came after I moved away as well. Cold bacon on a BLT doesn’t sound good to me. Don’t get me wrong, I will eat cold bacon… I just would be totally surprised to have it cold on my BLT. That is a bummer.
We really have been watching for some time now and always look forward to your adventures. We are getting ready in the Spring to go fulltime, what a big decision, but one I think we wish we would have done a long time ago. You continue to give a great deal of knowledge and always things to add to the list. You are correct about the temperature in the West vs. the East. Absolutely agree with you 110%!! West is "dry cold" vs. East being that "bone chilling, cold, raw, wet cold", (higher humidity) that you simply cannot get warm with! LOL Having lived in both, I totally agree with you on that one! Being on the East coast now, I can never get warm! Enjoy the warm Fla weather! Safe travels!
Humidity is annoying because it gets you on both ends of the temperature. 40 and humid? 🥶 75 and humid? 🥵 Meanwhile in the southwest you can easily enjoy the outdoors from 55-90. -J
Love y’all but watching this & previews for next week make me really like our little Class C. 😊 We really enjoy your videos. Safe travels & Merry Christmas!
You two are fun to watch😊 another great video, but OMG you’re killing me on these back roads😬 I’m the navigator, he’s the driver…. I could never do a non-interstate trip with our fifth wheel 🥺🫣 that would send my stomach into a tizzy 🤢💩 sorry for the TMI 😂.
@ I fear navigating us right to a low clearance bridge 🤢 that’s a part of wanting to down size our RV. On the other hand if I don’t have to worry about our height , we love the back roads, small towns and finding places you’d never find from the highways.
God bless you guys 🙏 I understand taking back roads and seeing America, but when it's that cold out and getting dark early sometimes taking the highway is a good thing. You can always go back to back roads during the daylight hours.
Kalyn was my deer spotter. 😁 We were had seen several deer so we started a camera rolling out the windshield so we could make a segment out of looking for deer.... and we saw none the rest of the trip. 😂 -J
So hilariously.... a day before we published this video another RV channel sent out a newsletter about how they are doing a "no interstate series" 😂 Just when we thought we were unique. 😂😂 -J
@ RUclips is an incredibly powerful tool for sharing very useful information amongst RVers. It helps illustrate the ups and downs of fulltime RV travel. Some RV guys are really “on their game” when it comes to RV maintenance - Changing Lanes, Keep Your Daydream, and Dave’s RV Life
I will take dry over humid any day of the year! The winter cold back East is just too much for us and Phoenix is just fine even though we think 45 is freezing cold! 😂🥶 I am stressed for you two just watching this! I have traveled many times with only a map well before GPS and the Internet, but your trip made me so anxious! That underpass…😮🫣😬!!!
Yall are traveling like we typically travel. We know areas we want to go and figure out how to get there and where to stay on the way. But we have enough solar to boondock so it makes a huge difference. We've been fulltime since 2020 but just got solar in the last year and it's made it way easier. Especially since we figure it out as we go. I know most people have to be pretty planned out but we just go as we go otherworld been maybe a couple of times it became an issue cause of being tired early or deciding to keep driving. Yall go this! We see some really awesome places not following the main roads. You got this!
Hey Guys, I just watched your Video "RVers worst nightmare" you guys came down through PA on 15 to 11, to 35 went through our Hometown of Freeburg, then continued our 35 into McCallisterville Gassed up at the Sheetz in Mifflintown, ate at the Clubhouse, we're in Texas so it was just nice to watch.
I hear you! When we built this rig we were doing on a budget and staying out of debt. I have to admit - 640w of solar and 300ah of battery is what we've lived on for 6 years! Will be nice to have more eventually but you can make it work! (Starlink makes it a touch more challenging with the constant power draw). -J
Fun lake facts! Tennessee only has one natural lake - reel foot lake. Formed after an earthquake in the 1800’s (that caused the Mississippi River to flow north)
Very first RV road trip was 6 weeks long and my husband and I only used a national geographics road atlas. We had a great time and didn't have reservations anywhere we went. Stopped at BLM land, state parks and national parks. Enjoy the freedom!
I just love watching you guys. Have you ever thought about traveling all the down from USA to Brazil? I have been watching some Brazilians couples who have been traveling from Brazil to Alaska. It would be once in a life time experience for sure !
Yes.. He is right! Bringing a 5th wheel to Brazil it would be Challenging. It would have to be a smaller RV. I wish you guys a Very Happy Christmas and a Great new year ahead !
Having camped at Williams, AZ in December with 0 temperature and running furnace and electric heater to keep from freezing I think west cold is just as bad as east cold! Our Designers lack a lot in insulation. My current Arctic Fox travel trailer is 4 season and much easier to heat in the cold temps.
Something about the humidity takes it to our bones though! We wintered in Phoenix and the cold just didn’t hit the same a 45 back here 😂😂 but yes - cold is still cold!!🥶
I should be able to get the TPMS to show my truck tires, but even the mechanics had trouble resetting my truck sensors last time I got the tires done so I think my truck OEM sensors are either misplaced or malfunctioning. But it's so awesome to have accurate data from the RV now! -J
Haha! I bet! We don't drink Alcohol but I have to tell you, we sold moonshine at the camp store I worked at in Michigan and the Moonshine soaked cherries looked like they would be a way to get "warm" in a hurry. 😂 -J
Rocky Gap is one of our favorite state parks. We are looking forward to seeing more camping spots on this trip, as we frequently make the drive from Rochester to Fl each fall. Good luck
We went under a 13-7 railroad bridge a couple of months ago on a route we’d never take but had two because of all the roads out in TN and NC from Helene. Pucker factor 11 as I listened to hear my ACs ripping off the roof. Luckily, I heard nothing. On all the little country roads, I worry about the power lines we drive under.
@@OpenRoading Oooooh, that tight tunnel!!!!!! I grew up with an old 80s custom van (interior blue shag carpeting and all!) pulling a late 70s huge camper (travel trailer) and that would have freaked ME out trying to drive that!!!!!!
Love my TST TPMS. Started with the 507 like you got and then upgraded to the newer 770. Works great but the suction windshield mount sucks. When I hit hard bumps it falls off so most of time just rests in corner of dash. One warning, couldn't tell if you have metal valve stems, but I had 2 rubber valve stems fail from the added weight of the TPMS sensors. TST warns you, especially if you get pass through sensors to change to metal stems. Luckily as they started leaking the TPMS alerted me to falling tire pressure and I was able to quickly pull over and change tires before any blowouts. I now have 4 metal stems!
I use one of those magnetic phone mounts that sticks to the dash since the 770 has a magnetic style mount. Keep it on the dash instead of using the suction cup on the windshield. And yes, need the metal valve stems with the pass-through sensors.
Not sure I can take the anxiety!! lol. We take backroads for all the reasons but I MUST HAVE A PLAN of where to sleep! 🤣🤣🤣 I’m pretty impressed with y’all. As usual. We love our TPMS but be wary of 💯 trusting the reading. We found they can vary by ~6% PSI. We’ve learned which one always reads a bit low and which one is high. But they’re close enough we feel MUCH more confident on the road. Another great product placement with solid information. Have a Merry Christmas!!
So far this TPMS has been dead on with what my tire inflator is reading (at least at cold tire pressure). We'll see how it does over time - thanks for the heads up! -J
I think we ended up passing quite a bit west of there. And our videos are always a bit behind real time (editing take a bit) so we've actually been in Florida now for a few weeks. 🙂 -J
That's cool! I didn't know that! I know those ones usually take a few seconds for the water to make it up but I have never had one take THAT long before. 😂 I genuinely thought they had turned the water off. - J
East coast cold is way colder than southwest. I can go t-shirt sleeves in 50s on a sunny day in southwest, but freeze in 70s in southeast even with sun shining. I gave away my atlas a few weeks ago, so far haven't needed it.
Haha! Stick around long enough and I'm sure we'll develop an annoying verbal tick or two. I already edit out the word "So" from the start of 90% of my sentences. 😂 -J
Since you no longer have the motorcycle, you might consider getting a foldable e-bike. Most of them can go 20-30 miles on a charge. Could help in a pinch and cheaper than a motorcycle.
Ok, it has been difficult to wait for the end of this episode Now, How Fun was that? It sure is Funny to watch you guys get so excited, you both were like School Kids in the back seat of Dad’s car !!! Someone spent way too much time with their eyes 👀 looking at the cell instead of the windshield after all you wanted to see the back roads, ok given those bridges & narrow spots. You’re right about the damp weather in the east ! Hard to remember all you did in this episode but sure am looking 👀 forward to the next weekend episode, i got a feeling it’s gonna be great Merry Christmas 🇨🇦Cdn. Dave 🇨🇦
We spent a lot of time eyes out the window - just had to film all the map checking. 😁 It was a very fun trip in all respects except our two lodging challenges (this one and one next week). -J
@ I thought the campsite you had to wait to get into where you stayed longer because of the snow and you hiked down to the lake was beautiful ! See your next episode Friday, don’t know what actual Date that is for you So don’t know if it’s Merry Christmas or Happy New Year, be nice to know, thanks 🇨🇦Dave
I can’t stand rolling electric cord or hoses when it is cold! Keep up the great work. Hope we get the opportunity to meet you two at the Tampa Rv Show!
Seriously, you might want to hook a backup alarm to uour reverse lights. OHSA requires them commercially because once in a while they keep the road kill out from under your tires. Sometimes, especially at Walmarts, I think people really try their best to duck under your wheels.
You two get better and better at this with every video!! Better than any tv series!! Thanks for all your hard work and for keeping everything clean so we can watch with our children!!!
when I did over the road trucking, trucker path and copilot was the go to apps. however over time trucker path did so many ads and anoying "features" that drove me away from it. now its just copilot alone.
I watch your videos because I feel like they are real, it’s not all for show. You two are just great people to watch.

I'll keep an eye out for them! Thanks for the rec. -J
That’s so smart to get off of the beaten path! I was holding my breath on the bricks, but you had us cracking up!
I get the feeling that leveling technique is not approved by Cody. Also... I don't know that it should be approved by anyone. 😂 -J
Haha - for sure. So stinking slow. Or the first one... orange water. 😂 -J
I loved the part about the new product sponsored by etrailer with half of the box destroyed 😂 I love how natural and real you guys are!
-F
LOL! I was just glad she hadn't gotten to anything inside! Also - love the -F!!!! Let's make this a thing on youtube for couples so we know who we're talking to! 😁 -J
Look at all the light in front of you without the bike!🤩
Also, state park parking lot is way better than lots of other types of parking lots 🤣
Fair! Not a single car drove by all night! -J
It was cool seeing that you went through my town (Cumberland). My dad drove a truck for many years and made regular passes through that underpass. It is very narrow. There is a casino in the resort at Rocky Gap.
Oh man. A semi under that would be so much more hair raising!!! -J
I love this! This is how we travel.
I can see us doing fewer interstates in the future... but the not knowing where we're stopping when we start is probably a thing that was only for this video. -J
We only travel 3-hours a day so we get to somewhere in daylight hours.
@@rv2travel Not a bad plan! -J
I was so nervous seeing that RV come off the bricks. But you’re pros!
I was nervous driving off them! 😂 -J
This is a great video 😂😂😂!! We always flew by the seat of our pants when we full-timed! We rarely prepared as well as you do!! K, you're right on about how the cold feels west coast -vs- east coast! Looking forward to following this new adventure to Florida! Be safe and be well!❤😊
I think Kalyn is going to swear off this whole "Seat of the pants" thing! 😂 -J
Came across your video while scrolling & I'm glad I did . I've watched a lot of "Rv couple " videos & yours is unique, plenty of energy & local roads which is different . That over pass where you guys went under like a tunnel had me a little worried, glad you made it. 👍🏾
Safe travels to the sunshine state & happy camping. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much for that! Glad you found us and thanks so much for watching! -J
@OpenRoading New subscriber. You're welcome.
Thanks
It's fun to watch someone else do it! lol -J
I find the ratio of happy accidents to unpleasant surprises is definitely worth the stress when things are uncertain or even just flat out go wrong. But I can see where that would not be true for everyone.
We enjoyed it a lot but discovered it's much better for Kalyn to at least have a sketch of a plan that we can be flexible with. 😁 -J
@ it’s good to know what works!
I just love how the list is something that would make most people cry and you followed it up with "It was a great trip and we have many fond memories as well."
That's how attitude makes such a difference. I'm sure as each thing happened there were struggles and frustrations, but once you get past them it's easy to see the positive and turn the negative memories into those "Remember when" stories that fill the house with laughter. 🙂
So appreciated you sharing!! -J
U r absolutely correct Kaitlyn on the differences n the cold !
Stinking humidity gets you on both ends of the thermometer. 😂 -J
Great video. I love seeing you two and the adventures you get in to. You are very inspiring. Back on top form with this episode. Can't wait for next Friday. We need more of Trinity. Happy Christmas where ever you are.
Sorry to hear we were out of top form. 😂
Thanks so much for watching each week! So appreciate it! -J
Damp cold vs dry cold….. spot on guys!!!
Stinking humidity. -J
I love an atlas too! My dad bought topographical maps that were like 60 pages per state. Those were my favorite! -J
@OpenRoading Oh wow! That map sounds like heaven!

A motor carrier road atlas will have all the low bridges, below 13' - 6", on state routes listed. I never go without it when trucking
@@mr_burky Thanks! I need to grab one of those next time! -J
I agree with you about the dry cold vs. the moist air cold. The moist air cold feels way colder somehow.
1000% -J
Good way for new adventure. For future travels we have space in N.C. with hookups near Pilot Mt. if you need a stop over .
I've got a personal (not shared) spreadsheet for people who have offered a space to stay. If you don't mind could you send me an email to rvopenroading@gmail.com (I don't need a specific location - just your email address so that I have a contact should we ever be in the area and want to take you up on your generous offer!) -J
Great Finish!!!! 😮 can’t wait to see!!!
Thanks! -J
Great roads, great scenery, great video. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
Great comment! 😁 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our channel! -J
OMG this episode is gold! love it! I can totally relate to so many aspects to this episode. I too recently bought the same TPMS unit, but with 6 sensors (4 for the rv and a pair for the rear truck tires) haven't installed it yet tho, look forward to hear how you like it.
Glad you enjoyed it!! -J
OH now THAT is a small world!!
Now the real question... did you agree with our assessment of the diner - or did we catch them on an off night? -J
@ I’m not sure! The diner came after I moved away as well. Cold bacon on a BLT doesn’t sound good to me. Don’t get me wrong, I will eat cold bacon… I just would be totally surprised to have it cold on my BLT. That is a bummer.
Taking the back roads feels normal for me 😅 this was such a fun video. Maryland and West Virginia were beautiful to see
Same... when not towing. 😂 -J
"80 on the nose", as the gauge drops down to 79 ;) Good job :)
😂😂 it was one of the other tires. It cycles through them. But the irony wasn’t lost on me. 😂😂 -J
Meanwhile in the southwest you can easily enjoy the outdoors from 55-90. -J
Love y’all but watching this & previews for next week make me really like our little Class C. 😊 We really enjoy your videos. Safe travels & Merry Christmas!
Haha! No shame there! Glad you love your Class C! Merry Christmas! -J
11:11 it used to be Trucker Path. I'm glad to hear it's now Trucker's Guide.
I believe they are two separate apps. Kalyn tried trucker path and found Trucker Guide to be better for what we needed. -J
@OpenRoading oh, thanks! I tried Trucker Path years ago, but it didn't do much for me.
I feel you so hard, navigating with “all the things” going on it’s stressful sometimes.
Haha. I had to leave that in uncut because it was such a "real life moment." 😂 -J
Haha! For the stress or the winding roads.... or both? -J
What a great “adventure”. I don’t think any other RVers have ever tried this “no Interstates” trek, especially along the east coast. Pretty gutsy ….
So hilariously.... a day before we published this video another RV channel sent out a newsletter about how they are doing a "no interstate series" 😂
Just when we thought we were unique.
The only thing that doesn't like the dry is my fingers. Always cracking around the nails whenever we're in dry climates. -J
@@OpenRoadingdry cracked fingers and cuticles are a daily struggle for us! Not so much back East even in the cold!
Love these loose style travels. Hey, you found a place that first day. Merry Christmas from Mike & Terry.
We did! A parking lot. 😂 -J
Awesome! Yeah, it was a really fun adventure! -J
I am definitely old but I wholeheartedly agree that the west cold is WAY better than the east cold!
Haha... I think it's true for the young-ins as well we just notice it more as we get older, or we just complain more. 😂 -J
Definitely! The cold is different when it's wet - that's why I left Oregon for AZ 😉
I'll take an Oregon summer though... depending on where in AZ. 🔥 -J
@OpenRoading absolutely! I worked in Phoenix last summer, and that's not happening again!
That's how I want to do it. No plans travel. Did it once in 2015 for three weeks it was amazing
I'd love to do a no map trip sometime... Don't think I'll convince Kalyn after our first night on this adventure. 😂 -J
Hey Guys, I just watched your Video "RVers worst nightmare"
you guys came down through PA on 15 to 11, to 35 went through our Hometown of Freeburg, then continued our 35 into McCallisterville Gassed up at the Sheetz in Mifflintown, ate at the Clubhouse, we're in Texas so it was just nice to watch.
I think it’s always so fun to see familiar places show up! 😊 Glad we could do that for you! -J
When you decide to get a new RV, please consider getting as much solar as you can. Two panels just don't cut it.
So the day the Mississippi flowed backwards, Maryland got to claim it's throne. 😂 -J
Almost Heaven West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River 🎶
🎼🎵🎶
Lots of Trinity, thank you 🥰.
It was a clencher for sure! We still would have fit with a dually.... but I was glad I wasn't driving one!! -J
Very first RV road trip was 6 weeks long and my husband and I only used a national geographics road atlas. We had a great time and didn't have reservations anywhere we went. Stopped at BLM land, state parks and national parks. Enjoy the freedom!
Very very cool! -J
Keep up the awesome videos.
Thanks! That's the plan! Got a lot of winter plans. 🙂 -J
Have driven by the sign for Rocky Gap in Flintstone so nice to see what the park looks like.
It’s pretty large! -J
I just love watching you guys. Have you ever thought about traveling all the down from USA to Brazil? I have been watching some Brazilians couples who have been traveling from Brazil to Alaska. It would be once in a life time experience for sure !
So I have a brother that lives in Brazil and he doesn't recommend us bringing a 5th wheel there. 🙂 Maybe a van or some sort of class C. -J
TPMS. Great upgrade. I have 10 tires 6 on the RV and 4 on the towed Jeep. Love the upgrade
I should be able to get the TPMS to show my truck tires, but even the mechanics had trouble resetting my truck sensors last time I got the tires done so I think my truck OEM sensors are either misplaced or malfunctioning. But it's so awesome to have accurate data from the RV now! -J
Great video… you went right by our house on 642 in PA. It was fun to see my neighborhood in your video.
Oh no way! Small small world! -J
Love the ending now to wait for next week ❤❤❤
Just some extra drama! -J
You definitely feel the cold more in the east due to dampness. It gets right in your bones. We chatted today with Kalyn’s parents and grandma.
Hopefully they didn't reveal too many of our secrets! 😁 -J
You’re safe lol!
Merry Christmas to all!! And yes, you're right it feels colder here in the east.
Merry Christmas! -J
Yall should find the local moonshine salesman while you’re in that neck of the woods(definitely with keep you warm)😉Merry Christmas 🎄
Haha! I bet! We don't drink Alcohol but I have to tell you, we sold moonshine at the camp store I worked at in Michigan and the Moonshine soaked cherries looked like they would be a way to get "warm" in a hurry. 😂 -J
Joseph, you need a Home Depot Screw challenge gift card from Santa! Never have the right ones, or enough of them!
You need to educate me on what a Home Depot Screw Challenge gift card is. I'm so intrigued I googled it but came up blank. 😂 -J
Rocky Gap is one of our favorite state parks. We are looking forward to seeing more camping spots on this trip, as we frequently make the drive from Rochester to Fl each fall. Good luck
Well... I'll tell ya.... if you're looking for boondocking spots we'll show you one next week that uh.... no longer exists. 😂 -J
Joe, I enjoy your wittiness! We need to hang out one of these days 😊
It's an acquired taste. 😂 -J
Ooooo! Yeah, also had a couple power lines recently that I thought for sure I was going to take out. 😂 Just wait for the zap. ⚡️ -J
Thanks for the Trucker Guide app info.
You're welcome! I'm glad you spotted the correction! There's a link to the app in the video description as well. -J

Yep!! I saw that. Our stems have sleeves but I’m swapping them all out! - J
I use one of those magnetic phone mounts that sticks to the dash since the 770 has a magnetic style mount. Keep it on the dash instead of using the suction cup on the windshield. And yes, need the metal valve stems with the pass-through sensors.
You guys are a hoot. 🤣🤣
🦉
You should stop for a bit in WInchester VA
I think we ended up passing quite a bit west of there. And our videos are always a bit behind real time (editing take a bit) so we've actually been in Florida now for a few weeks. 🙂 -J
That is a frost free hydrant, it is supposed to be left on in the winter in most places because of its design..
Right!?
Kalyn failed to mention our atlas was 5 years old. Eventually we should've probably updated anyway. 😂 -J
Your videos are refreshing because every other sentence you say does not include the word “Like”
Haha! Stick around long enough and I'm sure we'll develop an annoying verbal tick or two.
I already edit out the word "So" from the start of 90% of my sentences. 😂 -J
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Since you no longer have the motorcycle, you might consider getting a foldable e-bike. Most of them can go 20-30 miles on a charge. Could help in a pinch and cheaper than a motorcycle.
Route 11 is beautiful It's known as the Lee highway in Virginia. If you're worried about low bridges then you should just stick with the highway.
But then we don’t experience the fun of the worry! 😂 -J
Joseph, the new RV needs a auto reel for that 50 Amp Chord!
That would be awesome. 😎 -J

Seriously, you might want to hook a backup alarm to uour reverse lights. OHSA requires them commercially because once in a while they keep the road kill out from under your tires.
Sometimes, especially at Walmarts, I think people really try their best to duck under your wheels.
Haha - Yeah not a bad idea. I don't know what that car was doing behind me at the restaurant! They were really good at moving into my blind spots. -J
As a truck driver 4 ways work better with no noise, of course some cars don't understand those either
