Apparently the AMS2 Paddock Club members (beta testers) say the stock car and f ultimate gen 2 was a very early version of 1.6 and it's changed a lot since. It's taking a long time to pull the 1.6 together hey

I'm hopeful for v1.6. I like how the 2024 stock car feels like you cant simply toss it into a corner and gun the throttle without fear of understeering or power oversteer. Or at least it doesn't drive like how all the other cars in AMS2 drive
OMG THE CAR SLID 1.2MM TO THE RIGHT AT 120MPH AT FULL THROTTLE?!?!?! UNREALISTIC UNREALISTIC UNREALISTIC (I have driven all these cars on real life so I would know) - 99% of sim racers apparently
This is what worries me about 1.6. These 2 cars which already have the 1.6 physics don’t feel much different to me. There doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement at all. Hopefully the actual 1.6 release brings better things.

I agree Super123ps. I didn't notice some monumental change either. Maybe we just adapt to however the car feels in the moment and just drive, who knows? So while we currently have a flood of "where's 1.6" posts, we will soon be flooded with 1.6 complaint posts once it's released. I've never driven 99.9% of the cars in the game, so I couldn't tell you if the physics are spot on accurate or not. I did however own a C3 Corvette for 30+ years (sold it recently). @@steffendetrick I've endlessly spent hours changing settings, it's done absolutely nothing. well all I've been doing now is using the stock cars 2024 v1.6
Cars still tend to suddenly loose inertia during oversteer which has been prominent for many years now. Also, the slides and steering correction for the slides tend to happen so slowly as if the vehicles/tyres are gliding on a sheet of glass rather than being grippy objects made of rubber with friction against tarmac/concrete. BTW, this is not a new tyre model. New tyres have been created for cars but the underlying tyre model has not changed. Reiza calling these updates new or updated tyre model is pure marketing hogwash. They are simply new tyres using the same underlying Project Cars 2 tyre model as before. Reiza has barely made any changes, if any at all, to the PC2 tyre model from years ago.
