What a bonus to add the part about changing the Cabin Filter! Wouldn't have known about this easy piece of maintenance if you hadn't have included it! PS: The easy glove box removal opens up a whole better way to get into other stuff behind the dashboard that's normally harder to access in other cars. Honda is very considerate of end users in the way they build these cars.
Thank you so much for this video! You just saved me $150 (well, $110 if you take out the $40 for parts). And I feel fantastic about myself for being able to do it myself. I’m looking forward to teaching my daughters so they feel just as empowered. I am very grateful for your easy to follow demonstrations!!
Great video, but on the cabin air filter, you are missing a step. There is a little damper on the left side that hooks onto the glove compartment box to make it open softly. After opening the glove box and squeezing to release, it will not fall all the way open. You need to hold the door in place and push the damper end connected to the door down to detach it. It is like an upward facing lego hand. Then the door will open wide. In this video, yours is not hooked up to start with, and you did not reattach it at the end either.
Thanks for the video. I was about to book in for this service and instead, ordered the filters from Amazon. Great job adding the links for the parts, too. You saved me $$$, well done!!
I noticed that you neglected to disconnect the damper on the right side of the glove compartment, and when done, you didn't reconnect it. Hard to tell if it was connected before you started, or it just came off when you dropped the glove box. At any rate, I didn't see you reconnect it. It's necessary so that the box opens and closes smoothly. Surprised you missed it.
@@PilgrimsProgress7 it is a little shock absorber rod on the left side that makes the door open slowly. Has an upward facing lego hand connection to the glove box.
No no no! You have to first unlock the piston hook on the left side on the driverside on the interior filter or you could break the piston arm🤨! This filter goes in SUPER SUPER tight so be real careful you don’t scratch the edge of the glove box taking it out. Also on the engine filter there are two bottom plastic guide tabs, not one . The back one easily breaks if it goes in misaligned and pushed hard snapping it in. You have to be super gentle putting this engine air filter on. Cheap Honda plastic breaks easy!!!
Child can do it! Yet dealership tried to get my friends to pay loads. Dealerships are a joke. Cars are not that complicated most of the time. Just use heads and don't let ppl scam you, like dealerships and other chain garages that have good reviews (don't let that fool you).
"We noticed your cabin filter is dirty, would you like for us to change it for you for $150.00? " Thank you for this helpful info!
Try changing the cabin in my ‘07 Pilot. I would gladly pay the service charge after I had to do it on my own

Thank you for walking me through this. It’s always nice to surprise my husband with a task accomplished and money saved.
Well done. Shown in 3:13 what the dealer wants $85 in labor to perform. Appreciate the succinct presentation. Everything you need, nothing you don't!
I don’t know why some ppl would dislike this video?! It was nicely done and I found it informative! Thanks!
They probably disliked because they work for Honda and know that they will loose some business $$$$, if people know how to do it themselves!😊
Haters gone hate!

what is the damper?
@@PilgrimsProgress7 I think Joe meant the rod on the LEFT side of the glove box.

What's the cabin filter number?
I put the links for part in the description
At about 25 seconds, you say "there's a tab right there" and to unhook it. But I don't see where you're talking about.
Thanks buddy!
Very useful. Thanks!

Are the down votes from Honda dealers?
Very helpful... thanks!
