I ran into something that doesn't appear in videos on this. On my 2011 Odyssey the damper arm would not easily disconnect. I had to push down very hard and it finally came off with a sharp snap. Went back on a little hard and with the same snap. And yes I was lifting a little on the glove box at the same time so that there was no pull on the arm. It's just a tight fit and not much room to develop force on it.
