I do adore the Wii, so it's always nice to stumble upon videos promoting the great games to be found on the system.
0:31 - I've played the first game; tons of fun. I do own the sequel but I haven't gotten around to playing it. 1:41 - Given the comparable Monkey Ball experience on the Wii is likely to be Banana Blitz, I can understand the frustration. In terms of ball-balancing games on the Wii, Kororinpa feels the much better choice.
2:26 - I had heard of Blast Works but figured I would pass it by... seeing that cool mechanic though does make it very tempting now.
4:09 - I'm surprised to see a couple of games I had never heard of such as Gravity and Gunslingers. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the Wii but this video had plenty of surprises.
7:52 - The PSP connection of this game had me intrigued. I had it on my list of Wii games to eventually get so it is cool to see it shown off here.
Fantastic video here. If I were to talk about Wii games I love it would be an excessively lengthy comment and still pretty long even just talking about hidden gems. Keeping to just one (two) to mention would be the Pangya golf games; PangYa! Golf with Style and Super Swing Golf.

I pinned this comment, it was so nice to read a fellow Wii enthusiasts thoughts on the list.
I didn't know the the Wii had ports of Pangya on it. I tried the PSP Pangya earlier this year and the load times kinda killed what was otherwise a really fun arcade golf game. I'll definitely look into those as a Japanese Wii U is something I've wanted for a while now. Thanks for the suggestions!

@@Willtendo2 Aww, thanks! I've been collecting Wii games for a while in order to do Wii game reviews (only done 10 or so now but plan more focus on it next year onwards) so videos like yours are really helpful to know what to track down.
Much like you with Kororinpa, I ended up playing the 2nd Pangya game first but yeah, there are two Pangya games on the system. The first game was released within the launch window of the Wii in Japan and is lots of fun (though the motion controls aren't great in the first game with the 2nd improving it a fair bit). The games came out in all territories so there's no need to worry about getting a Japanese system to play them on.
I have considered getting myself a couple foreign Wii's to play some of the US and Japan exclusives; still annoying that Excitebots and Kirby's Dream Collection never came out in PAL territories.

5:45 Are you sure about that?
Off the top of my head I can now remember several: Ghost Squad, House of the Dead 2 and 3, House of the Dead Overkill, Attack of the Movies 3D (great one) Two Resident Evils, Dead Space, Target Terror, Reload, Dino Strike, Gunblade & LA Machine Gun, Mad Dog McCree a bunch of Cabela's hunting games, even Nintendo launched one with Link's Crossbow Training.
The Wii was a rail-shooter paradise

I agree the Wii definitely has more rail shooters than most consoles. However I'd say the genre still feels a bit underrepresented on the system when you consider how well they work on the system. Nonetheless they're easily one of the Wii's strongest assets and thank you for the comment!

I've got to check out Death Junior, seems like another good spooky 3D platformer to play along side MediEvil. Thanks for sharing these!

Conduit 2 is a hidden gem I highly recommend. It pushed the Wii's hardware to the absolute limit while giving Wii owners the best fps on it.
    A Top 10 title imo.

I agree so much, I'm gonna do a sequel video to this one so much and am definitely featuring the conduit games.

Gravity looks like a flash game. I really enjoy it.

It reminded me of a modern mobile game in a good way. Not something we would really see on home consoles in this day and age and that helps it stand out a lot more.

Best hidden gem on Wii?..Deadly Creatures. Play as a Scorpion and Tarantula. Dennis Hopper (RIP) does a voice in it. Made by Rainbow Studios, mostly known for MX VS ATV series.

The best light gun shooters on the wii to me is dead space extraction and house of the dead : overkill

That one is great too, I think my overall favorite now is probably HotD 2&3 returns. I know they are lazy ports but I love those games.

that dragon ball game looks pretty good. I like beat em ups a lot. Isnt there a DS game kinda like that except 2d?

    • @Willtendo2
      @Willtendo2  2 года назад

Yeah the ds games are called dragon ball origins but they use touch screen so their pretty lame imo.

@@Willtendo2 touch screen and motion controls immediately push me away from anything that they are on. I was huge on the GBA and didnt pick up the ds for years because of touch controls

Marble Saga Koroinpa is awesome. It’s actually a sequel, but the first game on Wii isn’t as good.
