A really valuable video for someone like me, who is just getting into Gamecube games. Never owned any consoles as a kid (and Gamecube was nearly impossible to get in my country) and I'm trying to catch up now and look for interesting titles to play. You generally see the same 10 games on everyone's list, so I love finding the hidden gems. Billy Hatcher looks like something right up my alley and I've never heard of it before. Thank you! Also, Sands of Time ruled when I played it on PC as a kid!
I hope you enjoy the game cube one of my most favorite controllers ever used and most durable I had mine since release still works perfect and looks like new condition
@@TheFallenSithMaster having a blast so far, thank you. Getting a genuine Gamcube controller where I live is a pain, though. Listings are very rare and the price is just too much. So far I've been using an officially licensed Hori battle pad for the Wii (I use a modded Wii and Wii U to play GC games), it works well but lacks analogue triggers. I also tried some chinese knockoffs that do have analogue triggers for games that use them (Luigi's mansion, mario sunshine, etc) but the sticks are terrible for movement. Looks like I'm gonna have to save up some money and finally get the real deal.
Awesome list. Love the Gamecube. It had the perfect controller. I am pretty obsessed with the X-Men Legends games. Comics and rpgs is the perfect combination for me. I really need to play the Ultimate Alliance games. I agree with your assessment of the Rogue Squadron games. So good. Metroid Prime is a good series but I don’t think I will be replaying it on the Gamecube since it was rereleased on the Switch. The one game not on your list that I do keep going back to is SoulCalibur II. I may have got this version for Link but I fell in love with Cassandra. I have played other tournament fighter games but this is the one I always go back to. Having not played the others in the series I would love to see an overview video from you. See if it worthwhile to get the others.
F zero gX is a decent fantasy racing game, but the best racing game on the GameCube is NASCAR dirt to Daytona. The fact that you have everything from street stocks up to cup cars and all the tracks included makes this not only one of the best racing games on the GameCube but one of the best racing games ever made
I enjoy Billy Hatcher I just can't get far in it. I do enjoy Billy's crowing. Rouge Squadron 2 is a great game. Agree it is one of the best for that generation. I picked this bundle up for Pac Man Vs. Haven't really played PM World. I haven't finished PoP SoT but enjoyed what I have played of it. The Legend games laid the ground work for ultimate alliance but still a lot of fun to play. Monkey Ball is a great game and the mini games are hours and hours of fun. Another top notch video. GGs.

Ive had the gamecube in a box for probably 10 years or more. A month ago for some reason I decided to buy one of those hdmi adapters for the digital output gamecube model and a mclassic to see what was all the fuss about... A month later and I cant stop playing the gamecube XD. Literally stopped all activity on the ps4 online and I find my self again (10 years later) purchasing from ebay exclusive japanese gc games to start updating the old collection and I think i kind of feel that feeling again that I had when I bought in in 2003 . Currently enjoying Kururin Squash! in 1080 and is a amazing experience ! Next stop is Conan and Freekstyle .
Great video and all great looking games. Since I only recently reacquired a Game Cube, I only have 3 games that I "still go back to" 1. The Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess, 2. Rogue Squadron 2 and 3. The Zelda Collectors Edition Promotional disc, ok so I guess more than 3 games LOL. I have a list of the games I would love to get as well "Zelda Windwaker (my number 1 goal), Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Melee, 007 Nightfire, Luigi's Mansion, Custom Robo and Mario Kard Double Dash. But after seeing your video, looks like I need to add more to the list. LOL
Seeing Rogue squadron 2 on a demo at Fry's when the GameCube was new, absolutely blew my mind. And is 100% the reason why I bought a GameCube that generation.
Look at those Brewers! Hittin' bombs! Pac Man Vs was pretty awesome! As for snowboarding games, i think the Amped series is criminally underrated. Especially Amped 3, the best and funniest snowboarding game ever in my opinion. Super Monkey Ball 2 is the greatest! Love it so much. Great video!!!

I enjoy these types of videos Jay. Not necessarily the best games on the system, but a peek into what others are playing. I was surprised by Billy Hatcher as I also have that game and enjoyed it. I don't play my GC that much because I am just not a fan of the controller. However, I have recently played P.N. 03, Soul Calibur II, Viewtiful Joe and Beach Spikers. As for a confession, I have my original copy of Paper Mario as well but it's....still sealed. That's right, I never got around to play it. I know I'm missing out but since it's been this long, I feel like I should just keep it sealed. Take care!

I still love to play franchise mode on MVP baseball 2005. That game in the game the year prior were two of the best baseball games ever that really can compete with the show. I still think that game holds up and I'm glad that it got brought up, most of the game guys online never mentioned sports games so I appreciate it. I still can play that concurrently with my new version of the show and have just as much fun.
Nice lineup of some games I'm interested in, except for the requisite sports title. The only one I've played (and finished) is Prince of Persia, but I think a friend gave me that Rogue Squadrons game.
Billy Hatcher will always bring me back to 2003. Such a great platform game. I also highly recommend Digimon rumble arena 2..such a great fighting game. Also, POOL PARADISE has the best soundtrack on GAMECUBE!

The games I still play for my top 10 are way different which is why the gamecube was so underrated in its day. My 10 are ultimate muscle, metal arms glitch in the system, gotcha force, star fox adventures, batman vengeance, teen titans, day of reckoning 2, animal crossing, midway arcade treasures 2, gladius. All games I bought back in the day trying to show friends how great the gamecube was against the playstations amd xbox's needless to say my now 500 plus collection of games makes them wish they had listened then lol
If you break down a cold hard facts Nintendo GameCube has the best multiplayer library compared to any other console I think they have 48 four-player games available for the console so if you have friends in the family you was not going to regret buying one
I bought a wii u with 10 games and both those zelda games with pro controller too for £150 love it but was meant for my son but he prefers the wii (with gamecube ports) just subbed here and tikky tokky

Billy hatcher I find poorly thought out, simplistic, and barely playable at times. The actual platforming is not a fun experience because most of it feels like luck if you can actually land on a platform or not.
