6:16 Tournament Structure Update 20:32 New Cards Revealed 48:48 City League Watch 1:08:51 Sponsors & Guess that Flavor Text 1:20:55 Lille Regionals I saw some comments on the previous episode asking for some chapters so I decided to show up ealry and comb through the episode to find the time stamps for major topics of this weeks episode! I'll probably add more time stamps much later in the day when I get around to listening ❤
33:12 the most recent unknown archetype that did well at a tournament that I remember was Mewtwo VUnion control. Of course piloted by Sander made even more impressive making its debut at a National level event and finishing 3rd. Also funny that Azul went up against it and couldn't recall such an odd deck at the time
10:53 - the missing link is always "what is TPCI's goal?". Its hard to evaluate anything when we dont know what the purpose of the change was in the first place.
Don't forget, Eevee ex also benefits from all the tera cards, noctowl, terapagos, area zero, tera orb. Yes the baby eevee can also evolve into tera and then have the benefits, but if for example at turn 2 (first turn going 2nd) you want to power up your eevee with terapagos, you'd have to swap potentially 2 times. With this one, you could power it up and even attack with it depending on upcoming eeveelution and then evolve it still.
People going to Pokémon regionals and not wanting to play Pokémon is so weird. I imagine that's a sign of either a bad format or these people that have been playing for a long time just being worn out
It's funny how Azul was saying he was worried about "lore" with a bunch of the dex entries he read, then gave one that is the literal thesis statement of the Pokemon it was describing. I thought Chip was going to out-the-gate him for sure.
It’s so funny… Azul wanted to trick Chip and it actually give him a pretty easy one and Chip wasn’t able to capitalize. I knew it was Lurantis without any lifelines
It's so funny... Azuw wanted to twick chip and it actuawwy gave him a pwetty easy one and chip wasn't abwe to capitawize. me neww it was luwantis without any wifewines
NC state fair is a true classic, wish I still lived there. The half and half Korean corn dog is also a pretty normal version of that and I enjoy it, but I can see how it would be disappointing if you expected the hot dog all the way through
From a viewer's perspective. I want more games to watch. We already get shorted the first couple rounds to begin with. I want more coverage of the actual game. Whether it's more rounds, or whether its more matches on stream via additional feature match tables. I just want to see more games being played. Watching live is such a chore because there is SOO much time between rounds that's just filled with bloat.
There is still a good chunk of innovation, not as common but off the top of my head are Mewtwo VUNION, Intelion Rad Zard, Noivern Cornerstone, Vikavolt/Palkia, Regidraco (remember than before NAIC that deck really want a thing), Articuno Intelion, Palkia Dusknoir if you stretch it.

The korean corn dogs were sold at a place in the food court we went to in honolulu, my friend got one and said it looks way better than it was and it costed $8
52:55 on ninja break I just used to play 3 froakie and 4 talonflames and it made sense. In archaludon that player plays 9 basics and 3 luxrai...what the hell?
Instead of X-2 makes cut, let’s just eliminate draws from the Pokemon TCG, it’s honestly the worst part of the game atm. Eliminating draws would increase the amount of X-2 players that make cut anyway indirectly.
As someone who's played yugioh which doesn't allow the ID's. Usually x-2-1 makes day two BUT it creates an atmosphere where people slowplay because of time and there's cards now that win you the game in time by gaining you life points while your opponent plays the game. It makes for really scummy players

Not all heroes wear capes
Thank you!
Big Pikachu will bless you.
Doing Arceus’ work out here
Awesome video guys as usual! I did actually resleeve the same 60 about 8 times already haha 😂⚡
Guess the VGC typing should definitely be a weekly segment
I agree

is the most recent unknown deck to do well not just noivern cornerstone
54:22 watching Azul and Chip losing it for the Oranguru deck made my day
What I learned from this episode: Chip loves twinks!! Good for you buddy we are very proud.
That’s exactly what I heard until he explained it 😂
Imagining your European audience aghast at the description of a Twinx is giving me life as a hot-blooded American
10:53 - the missing link is always "what is TPCI's goal?". Its hard to evaluate anything when we dont know what the purpose of the change was in the first place.
Gastrodon plus Fluttermane in the active can be lit for a control deck
Already on it!

Don't forget it is colorless so can use glass trumpet!

Seeing how little Azul knows about the actual Pokemon is so funny 😄

The guess that typing for vgc is so entertaining
What about Noivern Cornerstone as a recent new archetype?
It’s not real. 😂
Lacey is like Prof. Birch. I play it in my ancient box. Lol
22:50 Eevee ex fullfils both requirements for Glass Trumpet. You can energize it then evolve it.
I think that if you go to day 2 and never lose a match on day 2, you should win the event.
NC state fair is a true classic, wish I still lived there. The half and half Korean corn dog is also a pretty normal version of that and I enjoy it, but I can see how it would be disappointing if you expected the hot dog all the way through
So it's a brownie wrapped in bacon and studded with sliced sausage, coated and deep fried. It's then put into a burger.
That does sound pretty good
The Ocho Eevee decks will be the new United Wings

Man the ads that pop up for this podcast have been like 2hr ads. No exaggeration lol
33:12 Most commonly the person who comes to mind for the “wtf is this” deck is Ross Cawthon
I actually guessed fomantis from the description
Jimmy Ballard comes out of retirement with the Eevee special
There is still a good chunk of innovation, not as common but off the top of my head are Mewtwo VUNION, Intelion Rad Zard, Noivern Cornerstone, Vikavolt/Palkia, Regidraco (remember than before NAIC that deck really want a thing), Articuno Intelion, Palkia Dusknoir if you stretch it.

I guessed the base stage fomantis completely forgetting it evolved 😢

me know it was luwantis without any wifewines
I am SO SURPRISED chip didn't get the flavor text this week. I got it with no life lines and i'm normally at a similar level to him.
So a Korean corn dogs is made with either wheat or rice flour batter instead of cornmeal and coated with panko breadcrumbs or diced potato.
The korean corn dogs were sold at a place in the food court we went to in honolulu, my friend got one and said it looks way better than it was and it costed $8
Its kinda wrong to register for a tournament that you don’t plan on going to …..
Legit only got the guess the flavour text because i Google it when you was talking about it before
52:55 on ninja break I just used to play 3 froakie and 4 talonflames and it made sense. In archaludon that player plays 9 basics and 3 luxrai...what the hell?
The weinie convo is wild work lmaoo
the whole point of tera eevee is to work with glass trumpet jsyk
47:38 didn’t chip play the hydragon ex that did the same thing
I learned that Chip is not following Tord on Twitter lol
Azul and the muscle gains 💪
Chris breezy with the wise insight on day 2 😉
Tough flavour text, still on 94 points
