I have 2021 S1000RR and a 2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4S. Would M1000R Competition be any more different than my S1000RR or better than the SF? Or should I just wait for another year/generation to change bikes?
I was looking at the new Street Tripple and XSR 900 with the M1000R rather on the botom on my list but after seeing more and more videos like yours, I may have to move it up ... its a beast just sitting still.
I just had triumph buy back my 22' Speed Triple after it was in the shop for 3.5 months and they couldn't get it fixed with 2 separate parts. Going with BMW this time, stay away from triumph, they have a lot of problems after moving production to India.
I'm a little conflicted. The new S1000R just hit the US market last year and we are already getting a refresh/upgrade? I almost feel like I would not have purchased my 22' S1KR with M badges had I known an actual M1000R would be released just 1 year later. Between the depreciation of my current model and the increased price gap of the M1KR, no way I am looking to upgrade, but I am 100% jealous for those that will. Seemed like the S1K without the cam shift tech already kept up with the competition so interested to see how the M1k stacks up.
Hallo Bill, again a Great Video and what for a Bike. I ride also an S1000R and you wearing a very nice R cap in this video. Unfortunately I cannot find this Cap in Europe, do you have perhaps a Link who I could order it? Thanks for your support. Best regards from Belgium.
Hi bill, is it possible you can do a little video comparing the m1000r and the streetfighter please, I’m thinking about getting the 2023 streetfighter based on your review mainly although I’ve seen all reviews on RUclips, and a comparison between the s and m 1000r on track review, ( presumably you got to ride one ? ). Here’s bill, regards lee.
I am not sure about the cam shift version or taking the normal s1000r or should I take the m1000r better? What would you guys say that drove both of them?
@@CaliMotoTV ah ok! I thought it was the M motor. I’m not a BMW guy but CubanRider and i were looking at that maintenance schedule the other day. That and the V4R are very extreme if you track them often.
@@bt3ri the damper would have a bracket, one end clamps to one of the forks and other middle part screws into an existing hole in centre of bottom triple
Both the M1000R and the m1000r competition comes with the s1000RR motor. The difference between the non-competition and competition is solely. The electronic suite is better on the m1000r and the m package for $5,000
Love the look of the black m1000r with all of the carbon fibre but the winglets would have to go as they look like they are made of cheap plastic and an afterthought. Riding a naked bike on the road you ain’t going to miss a bit of downforce. If you ride everywhere at a ton plus your probably going to have a sports bike or a big neck.
Waiting for my build in canada, paid in full. April delivery expected. full Comp spec, minus the exhaust. will Bren Tune after I break it in, and put on a smaller exhaust.
Props to this guy trying to speak English, it’s not easy.
He is well prepared - altered to mph from KPH for the mainly US audience. I thought that was slick.
Great video, Bill
Merry Christmas
great video guys!
Great interview Bill! You really are good at asking the questions we want to know about. Looking forward to seeing your new M1000R on your channel.
The competition model will get you more chicks than the standard model. At least that's what my gut feeling tells me.
When the superbike launching in INDIA please tell us...
Such a sick bike... think I might have to get one when my r1250 gsa is paid off🤪

Street Triple & XSR900 are totally eclipsed by M1000R - how could you put them all in same sentence...
@@vn3801 lol , naked, upright and similar in cc's ... but yes there is a reason the R is 10k more

@@durkester I did not realize they moved production to India, that is an auto decline ... lol thanks for the info, BMW it is!

Don't really sound that conflicted. Don't want to upgrade and don't want to pay the increased price, seem pretty set.
@@Cobradaddy Yep I want one

You're 90% there, just get the bike flashed by 2 wheel dyno works in WA and work on the suspension at a track day.
I can't even use 40% of the power on my z900 "legally" that beemer is insane!!!
That’s why god invented race tracks.

I think all manufacturers should make the rear seat a special order and seat seat cowl standard.
I can't wait till it arrives, they say March or April. I ordered it in late Oct.

Would have been nice to have the akra system on it
I hate that you can’t get the competition package on the white M.
Curious on the maintenance schedule. The M1000RR shows piston rings/top end every 2500 miles or 3,000 under track use.
It's not an M1000RR motor so you'd follow the S1000RR maintenance schedule

I think the german guy was thinking "hurry up dumb american" all in his body language, no offence to American's.
I got the impression he was pressed for time - he was likely in high demand to speak with other media/social media people.
Can wait to see how s1r vs m1r will go with 200+ hp can he hold the front wheel on full throttle and if he do i will be surprised

That M1000R Competition is probably mt next bike
You lost me at M1000r. Definitely on my radar. Upgrading my s1000xr to 200hp. So maybe 2024
Trying to buy one in the Caribbean and there are non existent right now

The M1000r is a fairingless 1000rr. Pretty simple to understand.
