the steelies don't fit with the big brakes, but aftermarket wheel companies should jump on this demand with their own design that'll fit over the BBs

torque is more lile 550 Nm instead of 300. you divided by 1.35 when you should have multiplied 😅 minor mistake

NOTE: The volume knob is in the perfect position! because the driver has the control in his steering wheel and the other knob is close to the passenger side guys!

I had the same setup in an Audi - it was perfect!
Passenger no longer needs to reach so far and it doesn't distract the driver as much.

I had a 2 door Bronco 6 cylinder Big Bend. It was destroyed in a roll over accident after having it for 6 months. Now have a Defender 90 4 cylinder arriving in May. Didn’t go back to the Bronco due to the noise on the Hwy. Great around town, however on a trip of any length the wind noise becomes an issue.
This looks so much cooler than the 110 and the interior space is surprisingly better than I expected, seems sufficient for small family I think, the rear boot space actually about similar to compact hatchback, although yea the lack of rear door is nuisance for family purpose. Still, definitely pick this over 5 doors anyday, if only I can afford one 🤭
PS: I feel like this is the one Doug should've bought instead of the 110

This defender is amazing. Inline 6 with hybrid system is the way to go. Looks good too. Only complaint is it should be called the discovery

Coming from England, I would get the most basic and cheapest 90 with white steal wheels, and I would never wash it. It would look perfect on the farm. 😎

You can spec that from the factory.
You can’t get the steel wheels with the P400 as the bigger brakes won’t fit inside the rims.
Funny about the 6’1 and a half comment. The last video I watched I actually said it before he did. And then next vid you guys address that. Which makes total sense. Can’t believe people couldn’t figure that out. You guys do a fantastic job. Thank you.

You could for sure fit the UppaBaby Vista in there. There wouldn't be room for much anything else, but it would fit.
Currently driving the 90 P300 while I get my ftype r fixed, I'd say there is alot of turbo lag and the four cylender is really under whelming for such a big car. Tons of quality issues with the car, cameras suddenly stopped working, meridian sound system has a buzz. But I do enjoy this more than the RR vouge, you know what they say, if you're brave enough, everything is a........ Terrain I guess?
I agree. I work for JLR. P400 or bust. And quality is much better, but there are still issues, especially with the fancy infotainment.
Have you noticed how many other two door SUVs are out there? Ex Mini Paceman was a bit of a failure. I nearly bought a Defender 90 years ago with the previous gen. No where near the creature comforts the current edition has. Great vid.

I saw this in horizon 5 gameplay demo and immediately fell in love with it.
Just wish Land Rovers were more reliable.
Disposable after 4 years, it's been the standard for decades.
They are horrendously built. I have owned them for 30 years. The last reliable one I had was a Disco Mk1 - its been straight downhill since there. Terrible quality. I just had to scrap a Rande Rover Sport, it was going to take $30k to fix the fuel system. It needed a whole new system from the tank to the injectors. To fix it they have to take the body off ! It's a great car when it runs, but that's not regular. I had 3 electronic handbrake servos die. I had the water get into the fuel system, the rear suspension air blew up, the compressor for that failed, the brakes failed for no reason. The sat navigation died. Water started coming out of the lights over the centre console. The list goes on. Terrible quality. Land Rover spent $1.5 BILLION on warranty claims the last financial year and lost 20% of their new car sales - thats not Covid, that's terrible quality products. I think the P90 looks fantastic, but after the disaster of the last 3 Land Rovers I've owned, I won't touch one of their vehicles again.
@@weaselshitz2010 which is the reason why smart people lease them so they can dump them as soon as there's an issue with it.
Personally had a great experience with newer landrovers. My old discovery 2 was a nightmare at first but it did have 180k miles on it haha now it's OK. The new defender I don't find to be unreliable, tfl did have issues with their 4 cylinder and I don't know anyone with that one (they did recieve higher models for free in exchange) but as for the inline 6, it doesn't appear to have any reliability issues so far. Just browsing forums and various mechanic sites it seems to be fine as well as knowing a few who love this suv and bought one. Doug Demuro did drive his defender cross country multiple times with no issues. Many look at one instance online from this new model and think they're all lemons.
I know horror stories of LR are abundant but I also know plenty that just join into the narrative it's awful. With new management and focus on improving that imagine in the north American market, the discovery... err defender 😉 is at the forefront. I dont find it to be unreliable at all.

@@Spoons81 I had a brand new range with air suspension, gas pump and overheating issues within 6 months of ownership. They're just built to last as long as the lease.
Like the four door but would rather get the Bronco because Land Rover has a reliability issue

Haven't watched yet but I went to look at one a couple of weeks ago and really want one. This would be a great daily and could easily tow an Elise.

I didn't know 130 was in the works. Can't wait to see how it looks.
But since Defender became such a luxury brand we probably won't see all those amazing 130s with the bed, or a crane or whatever people/Land Rover used to build.
@@SamoScopom I remember reading about it a while ago. I feel like 130 will mainly be bought by people that need 3 big rows of seats. I guess it will seat 6/7 people very comfortably.
Although a 130 hard top would work too for business, but it kight be too expensive for that to be worth it for most.

I guess the 130 will be able to take 8 adults, which is believable since the 110 take 8 people as well (but not all adults, the two third row seats are too small) 3+3+2
We have an older 110 model and that one can take 9 people no problem since you have two opposing benches (2 person each) in the trunk. So you have 2 + 3 + 4

One thing I hate about LR's gauge cluster is, when you have single dial at middle, you have to choose either map and info panel on the right side, and pick one of the useless widget (media/driving assistant/...) on left side. Why can't I have info on left and map on right?
They need to black out the front and rear bumpers. And black steel wheels as options for all specs

@@makatron that was the base model with the 4 cylinder. At least the first two were. Admittedly though, since they got the most recent one with the 6 cylinder engine, all they've reported was a "false alarm" where the car thought the coolant was low, probably because they were on a slope while off roading.
@@damilolaakanni I'd still avoid it like the plague, I have my mind set in a Land Cruiser Prado, a lot better than this.

9:35 that's interesting, I just bought a 2016 Range Rover and it has curb view which you can activate at any time. Wonder if that's a Land Rover vs Range Rover thing, or if the newer models got rid of it too.

First. I am torn between the 90 and the Bronco Wildtrak 2Dr Vaporware I’ve had on order. The V-8 may make me reconsider but so many problems with my 2Dr Evoque that I may not want to go down that road again. Plus Jakub has a great point about door/roof panels. Looking forward to a side-by-side comparison in the future!
I agree. Watch where you spend your hard earned money. JLR is one of the worst companies I bought from, their quality control is utter shit.
Bronco with the 35” tires looks so nice. I’d go with the 2-door Bronco … love the Ecoboost powertrains.
Evoque is crap compared to Defender. Not perfect, but much much better.
@@ChaosphereIX Perhaps I’ll need to go test drive a Defender. It does seem much better from what I can tell. Especially that infotainment.
@@danielenger7133 To be honest, the infotainment although fancy, is far from perfect. Buggy at times and sometimes entire IMC modules need to be replaced. I would say it is the one biggest weak spot of the Defender, other than the sunroofs which need a re-design and there is no replacements anywhere...

IS A UNIQUE CAR, SHORT, WITH AIR SUSPENSION AND ALL OFF ROAD PACK. TOYOTA PRADO SHORT VERSION CANNOT PUT THE BEST OFF ROAD PACK . WRANGLER AND BRONCO ONLY OFF ROAD SO I ORDERED 90 I WAITED A SUCH CAR TO BE SHORTER BUT FULL EQUIPPED ON-OFF ROAD .

I am single so i would go with the 90 but how much does it tow becuase i live in a converted hondapilot and converted cargo trailer. So if i got the 90 it would need to be able to tow 5,000 or more
the Lr Evoque had a 2 door version and bombed, this might be a steal to get used in a couple of years
Actually the 90 is called 3 door because the og one had side facing seats and 110 5 door for the same reason

It’s better looking than the 110, but still my 3rd choice. I prefer the Bronco (when it finally arrives) & Jeep JL. The taillights on the D90 are undersized & odd shaped for me … ruins what is an otherwise nice design. I’d still take this over any 4x4 from Japan or Korea.
I really like that. much cooler than the 110. the four door just seems more mall crawler.

does anybody know if the new defender has a way of stiffen the suspensions while riding on road (as opposed to off road where I am expecting them to be soft) ? I have driven a 90 yesterday but I had this feeling of an ever soft ride although the "adaptive dynamic suspension" package was available on the vehicle I tested.

I don't understand why defender and discovery series needs to be so tall, they could easily make the roof lower and make the vehicle lot prettier among everything else.

The new Bronco is a good comparison, but at half the price, what is the advantage to the Defender? Towing. That is where the Defender kills the Bronco.
Defender is built to b hugely strong and solid
It can tow
Brilliant off road
The Defender interior is brilliant
The quality and durability of the materials etc
Air Suspension
Fantastic ride in all situations
Defender is worth the $$$
The bronco is a toy. Sure it’s fun but yeah the towing and payload weight the defender can handle is light years better. Not to mention the interior wuality which is night and day
