I work near SF in health care. In a recent training we were told we can no longer say good morning because it assumes the person is having a good day and they may not be so it could be triggering. Also never Mr or Mrs. because it assumes gender. We also now document menstrual status for men. I really want to laugh at this but it's just too real. I admire and appreciate you going all in with this truth bomb. Great video.

I am attending an ivy league law school at the moment, so I am SURROUNDED by people like this - both kids who grew up in this culture and professors who push the culture. I seriously hate it. I feel like I can't say anything without potentially losing my career before even graduating!
Hopefully we are at or near peak madness and things will settle down by the time you graduate. Trying to stay hopeful here...
@@cgatito3528 In my guesstimation, give it about 20 maybe 30 years tops. Takes awhile for the consequences of all the added hormones to take full effect - and full regret. We're going to see a generation of modified children grow up, rise up, & put a stop to this.

This is another one of those videos that I liked because it's funny if you recognize the ridiculousness of the logic behind these behaviors and mindsets... But then it gets sad and highly concerning when you remember there are people who see no humor and only pure reason in the video. I’m in the Navy, and we were told that we can’t use the term feminine hygiene products anymore because it assumes gender. We need to say “period products.” And we should refer to women who need these products as “menstruators” to be more inclusive.

Somehow those kinds of people feel more political and obnoxious than like, a conservative dad.
I'd say it's because this character is a characature of this type of person, while their conservative dad character is based on actual people they know. Both kinds of characters can be funny, but one in a "people like that are crazy" way and the other in a relatable, "I know someone like that" way. However, it's like comparing apples to oranges.
What’s sad and funny is this is suppose to be funny, but it’s more sad because it’s depressingly true

For someone who is very mindful of triggers and such that is so true. There is a difference between really not liking something and literally having a panic attack or mental episode when exposed to certain content. Trigger warnings are very often misunderstood. Also the sarcasm about health care, there's nothing the average person can do alone but that doesn't mean you quit ever getting someone to the hospital out of protest. It's "you hate society and yet you live in it" junk.

The pronoun stuff is really funny because here in Finland everyone is just "hän", regardless of gender identity, very neutral. During my summer job I heard the name of a colleague I was going to work with was called "Onni" (literally meaning "luck" in Finnish) and I had no idea if the colleague was going to be female or male until the initial meeting, when I found out Onni is a male 😄
Here in US, I work at an agency where everyone signs emails with their name and pronoun preferences. Takes a bit to get used to it, but it does validate everyone. She/ her here lol
@@darcistephenson5359 Why does everyone NEED to be validated in this way? Validated means to "support the TRUTH or VALUE of something".
1. If someone is using a pronoun that isn't biological true then there should be no validation.
2. Stating pronouns on an email hardly is of value.
Your apparent definition of validated just seems silly.
@@cathyhart3946 You should use the right pronouns for someone just because it's common courtesy? Also gender doesn't equal sex. And for emails, it's just helpful. That way people know how to refer to you. btw mine are they/she.
