People legitimately will ask questions like this thinking into the rules before they’re even explained…like, patience and I will explain the rules.
Then you have never played with someone like my brother. He explains the rules, but leaves a few of them out. Then, when it benefits him, he 'remembers' the rule.
@@davidtree2511 I have experienced this too, but as a rule explainer myself, I have to admit it is very hard to remember all the rules, but it definitely depends on the game being played. Some are so complex that it's easier to play the game with the rules that are already known and then when a question arises about what happens next or a certain rule, then consult the rulebook.
But yea, I've had that happen plenty of times too.

I was wondering who all of the new people were. They did GREAT!!! The lady in the bright red dress and the guy in the Hawaiian shirt were impressive. They acted natural rather than being "extra" extras. Lol. How fun!!!

Went to a local game night at a bar, and it was relatively competitive. It wasn't a huge amount of money, but the locals took it very seriously.
We made the mistake of running a few minutes late, and having the girlfriend of one of the regulars put in a team name for us.
She literally put each of our actual names in a row...so every single person in the bar was talking shit to us BY NAME the entire night.
I will never let anybody else decide on a team name.
