Love that jake is taking a leap and doing some comedy on his own
You don’t even know!
Haha!
You absolutely crushed it. Your personality translated so well to the big stage. I can’t wait to see you headline live someday!
Its just great to be able to watch comedy that isn't shock factor and vulgar. Loved it! Also yes LaCroix.....blech. 😆
Check out dry bar comedy.
@@alyupde9337 yes I do watch some on Dry Bar too.
eh… I’m drinking one as I read this comment 😂 a friend asked me once what my favorite soda was and I said “sparkling water”. She called me “the basic **vulgar**” in all of us. I cannot repeat what she actually said, because I am a Christian 😂😂
Whatever.. My all time favourite is La Croix coconut!
That how you know someone is a true comic, they don't need all the vulgarity.
The breastfeeding bit “I’m stronger”, I SCREAMED. So great 😂.
9:22 “Another drink I don’t get is LaCroix.”
*scattered boos from crowd*
“I hear some groans, and that’s because the audience is primarily white women.” 😂
The polio and "swept off your feet" joke was gold.
6:47 I love how you can progressively hear more and more people get the Steve Irwin bit 😆
i had to google it but assumed he was famous for being stung or something
@@Vitamortis. he was famous for handling animals and very beloved, he was killed by a sting ray
I loved Steve Irwin as a kid but somehow my brain heard it as Steve Urkle… so I really didn’t get it! My husband was there to explain it, lol!
@@EmP-2022 I would love to hear Jake give a Steve Urkel impression
@@romanfernandez4178 Particularly for his handling and love of crocodiles.
I'm a huge fan of Jake (and Brad!), a committed ghostie, yet somehow this was even funnier than I thought it would be. You crushed it, Jake, congrats! Can't wait to keep following your comedy journey. :)
Oh my gosh! I love Brad too!!!...and Jake, of course.
I feel like such a proud mom right now 🤗
This was so great and personable.. instantly he feels like a new friend that is also funny! I loved this!!
So funny! I grew up really sheltered, and I love that y'all can embrace it and joke about it. I know a lot of people are embarrassed that they grew up sheltered, but I brag about it to my friends.
@A Laputa Thanks! That's so sweet! I hope you have a great day!😁👍
Yes! Not proud of all I was exposed to! As a mom now I’m like “where were the adults who were supposed to protect us?”
I grew up semi sheltered. I went to public school for 3 yearsBut was homeschooled from 3rd-12th grade. One of my mom's best friends when I was a lesbian woman and her partner. Didn't know that were dating each other until high school. I just thought that they were close friends. But I grew going to church regularly as well. I would have hated growing so sheltered like my cousins who couldn't even watch Scooby-Doo because of the fake monsters in it. I stayed fairly innocent until about 21.
yes! it’s nice not to feel so alone.
My kids are thankful too.
Jake is fantastic!! Clean comedy ROCKS!!
I went to the show in Clearwater and Jake picked on a guy who sold ‘insurance’ and kept making mob jokes, it was perfect, amazing time seeing them
I’m such a sheltered kid it’s crazy, love these videos about sheltered kids
I loved this! I love how it’s just funny. Not vulgar, not outlandish. Just funny and a good time :)
I love it when comedians interact with the audience. It's a skill to run off-the-cuff like that and Jake did well. I've got to say I'm relieved because I really love his and Brad's videos.
The part describing your job duties making videos with Trey 😂💀
Thank you so much for putting together a set that didn't depend on profanity and sex. Really refreshing! Shows true talent.
I was at this show. He killed it.
I was front row for this man, it was such a great experience! Great show yall put on!
I'm a native Las Vegan and I grew up around showrooms filled with the best entertainment from around the world. You were absolutely wonderful at stand up. You can think on your feet, you kept your comedy sharp while managing to retain that midwestern wholesome vibe and you kept everyone just slightly off center. Meaning...no one was sure what to expect next. That's a great way to keep your room engaged. When you find a job that you love, that you are talented enough to compete with the best in your world and has the potential to provide you with the lifestyle you could only dream of...AND if you never forget GOD'S presence...everything else will fall into place. CONGRATULATIONS!
Jake is so great at crowd work! Saw him live, and now seeing this I weirdly feel proud like I’m his mom. 😊
Omg this was so funny, Jake I am so proud of you. For everyone who wants more of Jake, check out Ghostrunners podcast, him and Brad are the funniest guys ever.
Does brad do stand up too? Or just podcast and sketch?
@@coreyw5981 He has done it a few times. Him and Jake together on stage would be awesome
I got to see him and Trey live and it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, my face hurt from laughing so much when I left 😂
That's the power of the mic! You killed it, kid.
Jake, you absolutely killed it! I came to the Charlotte show, and again to the Raleigh show with my sister because we loved it so much! I started listening to Ghostrunners when I was 13, and I will be turning 17 in a few months, and you have been a big role model to me ever since. So cool to watch how far you’ve come! Wishing you the best!
Sheltered Kid was so scared to say that last joke he had to literally run offstage immediately after! CRYING tears of laughter right now, Jake, love every minute of this!!
Talk about perfect timing! Right as you said, "your mother's nipple." My son who is playing a video game screamed, "YeS!" So funny! Sounded as though he was agreeing. He had no idea what was going on.
He is so sweet
And well adjusted for a self proclaimed sheltered kid.
And you are super cute/attractive
Man, so good for a guy that looks SO YOUNG to do something so brave!
But also, this is so great. Well done man!
I really enjoy the way he can play on the crowds reaction. Proving he has true comedic talent! Bravo Jake
Love the Team Jacob joke! 🤣
I’ve loved hearing about your comedy journey from the podcasts, so cool to finally see the video :)
The ghosties and recties know 💀
✌🏿
"I'm just sippin' on booch."
"...What???? Don't ever say THAT again."
You should host a podcast! I bet people would like listening to you on a weekly basis. Probably Monday mornings would work best.
I hear his talk show with that other guy is pretty good
He has the Correct Opinions podcast with Trey Kennedy and then the Ghostrunners podcast with Brad Ellis. You should check them out! They are quite entertaining.
Can’t get this smile off my face! Loved this!! I feel so proud!
Jake is a natural on that stage!
a lot of comedians who aren't funny resort to offensive humor to get cheap laughs so kudos to you for being original
Jake, you did and awesome job. I’m so glad you got the opportunity to bring ya best on the big stage!
This was great! I was actually laughing at loud the whole time 😂
This is what growth looks like. Happy for you, Jake. You were great!
Incredible job! Why have I never heard of this guy? So totally focused, so good with the crowd, so clever, and a Christian comedian without being preachy. Keep up the good work Jake!
I love this Jake! Good for you!! You are hilarious!!! Congratulations on stepping out and sharing your talent with the world!!! ❤️❤️
I saw Jake open for Trey in Richmond, and he was great. Really glad that he’s starting to showcase his own talent. Jake, Trey and Brad are all phenomenally hilarious when together, but they’re also very comedic as individuals. Love them all!
Jake your quick wittiness is amazing. Can’t wait for more from you. And the La Croix part was absolutely on point
This was legitimately funny and entertaining. I’ve watched plenty of standup sets that fell flat, but this had me laughing and smiling throughout. Well done!
We took a road trip to specifically see Jake on tour when they were in PA. By far one of the funniest people I've seen, and the highlight of our night. It was so fun to re-watch! Congrats!
This is so great!!! The parts that I wasn’t laughing out loud, I was smiling from ear to ear!!!
Killed it from beginning to end! Glad to hear that there is hope for us sheltered kids.
Jake you're hilarious and I loved your act! Please post more!💜
You did so well!! I loved it! Your interplay with easy jokes and jokes that take a little longer for the audience to get or go under the radar was great! Also you’re a natural at weaving preplanned comedy with spur-of-the-moment audience interaction.
Biggest regret…not seeing you and Trey live when you where in Maine. This is gold but clearly not long enough! Lol! You killed it Jake!
good job dude, that was straight up a great 20 mins.
I have a feeling I'm going to watch this regularly 👍
Hey ma!!! Break out the meatloaf cause Jake Tripplet’s first comedy special is live!!!! 👻🏃🏼♀️
Haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. 🤣thank you Jake 😂😂😂😂☺️
Amazing Jake!! So proud of you, and it's so cool to see you so comfortable up there 😊
Wow, that was really smooth. I watch a lot of stand up, and his topic transitions are pretty seamless... Good job.
Now we just need you to have a special where you are in your Elvis getup the whole time 😂
😅
He should not have ordered the medium 😂🤣
😂😂😂😂
A great special, Jake! Ya killed it.
Saw this guy live and I would see him again in a heartbeat!
I remember watching Jake open when they did the virtual stand up tour. Definitely come a long way since then, much more natural delivery, really funny set! Keep it up!
yes, he is doing so good!
Such a great show! A great editing job too! Congrats Jake!!!
Well done! I'm sitting here, before 6 am, laughing my hiney off while the rest of the house sleeps.
Much love from Nova Scotia!
This is just delightful! I’m glad I’m not the only one whose parents were so silly about magic stuff. I had to leave my Magic the Gathering cards/decks at a friend’s house!
Jake, you crushed it ! What a debut ! Only thing that truly sucks is LaCroix and you crushed that, too. As for your tongue in cheek humor, I'll bet you're a great kisser and won't be single too much longer after this outstanding video performance. Encore !
I can't imagine all the blood, sweat, and tears (i.e., Work) that brought you to this point, but it was worth it. You work your craft until it's a part of you. Bravo!
I’m so happy for you, Jake!! This was awesome and I can’t wait for more!!!
“That’s probably enough breast feeding content for the night.” 💀
Idk but I was nervous for him but I legit laughed throughout. The I’m stronger line killed me. You were great!
I saw you in Boise, and I felt like the proud parent - so excited to see you out there crushing it!! I’m pumped to be able to show friends who weren’t able to be there your special!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Way to go Jake! Always been a fan and I always will be. Such a good guy with great material.
OMG I knew you’d be funny, but honestly it was even better than I expected. I literally laughed out loud so much.
Jake is great at stand up!! I honestly didn't know if his video humor would translate to stand up but damn this was perfect! More of this for sure
Yeah boi!!! Loved it!!! I’m so proud for some reason like my own little baby boy is out in the world!
OUTSTANDING!!! Grinning the whole video start to finish! You killed it! Wasn’t sure what to expect… but very quick and clever… and clean! Can’t wait for the next one!
Hysterical! So glad you made this available. A total natural on the comedy stage.
I liked how he rly played off the crowds reactions. And didnt take it too far poking fun at the one dude.
This was absolutely fantastic!! Consistent laughter the entire time! Great job!!!
Great job Jake! Lots of laughing out loud here in northern Kentucky. 😁
" I am still Team Jacob... Yea the one from the old testament" that was funny
Jake was amazing! I’m so glad that he’s pursuing comedy! He is so talented!
Thoroughly enjoyed!! Love your content thank you for clean pure fun and laughter in the world
I’m already anxiously waiting for his next show. 👏👏
Not even a full three seconds into the video and I’m crying laughing!! You guys are the best!
So glad I'll be able to relive this again and again!! Loved it!
Man, Jake you killed it. You absolutely love to see it!! 😁
I could watch another hour of this! Great job! :)
So excited for this!!!!! It was actually incredible..
This was a great set! I was worried, but Jake was so relaxed and it was as if he'd been doing this for years.
This was so great! I didn’t want it to end. 😄
This was so awesome! I new it would be good, but this exceeded my expectations. I’m looking forward to a full length special someday!
so good!!! got me chuckling the whole time. so talented
Let's go Jake!!!! Love you bro!
You did great Jake! I was rolling the whole time! 🤣 Hope to see more!
Congratulations Jake!!! Your special was Awesome!! Great job!! Makes me want to see you and Trey Live even more!!!
Yo let’s go!!! This was so good! Great job on the editing too Jake, it turned out amazing!
Jake, you did an amazing job! I laughed out loud so many times. I really enjoyed your cadence, wit, and how quick you were on your feet with the crowd work. I look forward to seeing you when the tour returns to Michigan. I’m a huge fan of Jean Shorts and Ghostrunners is my favorite podcast. On your feet!
Had us rolling! Relatively clean, too!
The only thing disappointing about this is that it’s an opener and not a headliner. I could watch for another hour. You crushed it, Jake!
