O Lord, we kindergarten teachers know them well. These poor kids have the worst separation anxiety while Free Sprit kids are making new friends. Dear Moms: Your kids going to kindergarten is not a tragedy.
@@wtfworld8250 actually, sippy cups are bad for kids because they hinder the transition of swallowing methods from a nipple to a cup, so a helicopter mom who is up to date with such information would never let her child use a sippy cup. If I learned anything from my pediatrics disorders graduate course, it’s that kids shouldn’t use sippy cups.
Love that helicopter sound for that mom. Climbing on the slide was hilarious! I think my mom was more a hybrid of these two, tho she leaned more toward the non-helicopter mom for my siblings, and helicopter for me, the sensitive kid.. 😜😂
My mom managed a solid hybrid of the two. She was somehow constantly volunteering at my school without me actually knowing where she was. It was honestly great, she was never breathing down my neck or getting in the middle of my friends' conversations (unless we needed someone to settle a debate, then my friends actually went looking for her), but if I ever needed a band-aid or a pad or something I could just text her and BOOM she was right there
Jake as the Helicopter mom was hilarious! 👏🏻 I’m absolutely the other one - sitting in the car during kids’ practice to listen to Ghostrunner’s Podcast is the way a veteran mom does it. 🤣 You should do a veteran parent vs new parent. 🤣
Same. I wasn’t even that helicopter as a first time mom. I can’t stand the parents who follow their fully capable kids onto the jungle gyms. 1. They’re creating more wear and tear on it making them ruin faster. Thx. 2. They intimidate other kids who want to play with their kid. My son barely ever had other kids to play with because of them. It’s mean both for my kid and theirs.
Haha I've always been pretty laid back in the parenting department but these days, now that my youngest is nearly 8, I'm definitely vibing with free spirit mom. I mean, I'll get out of the car to watch the games and all, but who needs to watch every practice too? Haha I suppose I also probably sound slightly more concerned about the whole potentially broken leg thing, but only a little 🤣
@@Mama_Bear524 I know, right! I wish they would just let their kids play with other kids without it being a whole thing! It's going to give their kids anxiety to literally never do anything without their parents helping them. And 1 time a lady freaked out and started screaming "Who's baby is this?" like my kid was a grave danger. She's so climbing, chill, she's never fallen.
@@Mama_Bear524 I don't know, AI liked playing on the jungle gyms with my kids. Half the benefit of having children is you get to do that stuff again without it being weird
When “Brad” is talking to “Michelle” on the phone, you definitely need to have him telling her about the crazy helicopter parent climbing on the playground equipment. 😂
Honestly, Free Spirit mom is 100% right that 1-year-olds can feed themselves. It's a great way to foster healthy eating habits, rather than training them to open their mouth every time a spoon is offered. They won't starve themselves, but if you are concerned, your pediatrician should know if they are getting enough to eat, as well as what eating skills they should be capable of.
most of the time helicoptered kids don’t have the best look on life. they might make more mistakes and get into slightly more trouble, but that’s what really grows a person and it’s better for them to experience it while they’re a child and have room to mess up without consequences
Whole video was hilarious but I especially liked the bits of jake hopping around the playground to the helicopter noise, lost it when he couldn’t make it up the slide 😂😂😂😂
The helicopter sound on the playground was killing me 😂 I think I’m definitely a helicopter mom in regards to safety, but I hope I’m not this intense 🤣
Lmao here I thought I'd be a healthy mixture of the two, but nope, 95% "free spirit mom" here. 🤣 The only place I really differ is car seat safety; my kids are properly buckled at all times, and also I've seen enough concussions (my neighbor's kid) to make sure they wear bike helmets.
I sort of had a helicopter mom that needed to know exactly where I was at all times, decided what hairstyle I would have up until 9th grade, told me that I couldn't wear jeans because "girls don't do that", gave me 5 or 10 cents for chores I did up until I was a teen, looked through and proof-read all my homework etc etc. If I ever become a mom I will go with the notion that "kids are made of rubber", they don't have to be that closely supervised e.g. on the playground and told what not to do.
This is so hilarious my face hurts from laughing! I was brought up in a military family with Free Spirit parents; we were free to roam in a safe world, and our performance at school was our responsibility - our parents made sure we got there and didn't get into trouble. I was a combination of the two in the 80s and 90s when the world was transitioning to Helicopter. Being a kid with Free Spirit parents was much, much better, but then it was a safer world. My parents were terrified of polio and German measles, rightfully so, but they didn't make us all little hypochondriacs. I was definitely an academic Helicopter (Asian influence!) but encouraged them to test their mettle in the woods, in sports, Scouts, band, etc. without my interference.
I had a wonderful pediatrician back in the 80s when I was having kids. He had five children, their pictures on his wall. He said, "let them eat dirt." And had a great sense of humor. Thanks, Dr. Bondareff.
Helicopter Mom literally calls Child’s name 700 times while we don’t even know Free spirit mom kid’s name 😂
Lol. True.
The constant closing of the cardigan & pet names for Jack kill me!
Jack Jack
Jack Jack Jack
🤣
I always wonder if other people notice stuff like that like I do🤣
Jack Sparrow
Jack Russell Terrier 😂

In the calmest, least concerned voice ever: "What did he break his leg?"
🤣🤣🤣
LOLL
Jake frantically climbing all over the play set 🤣
As a helicopter mom, Jake, you were making me very nervous climbing all over that play set!!! Sit down and have a juice immediately.
😂
Juice, what are you offering my child! He old drinks the finest of spring water from a porcelain sippy cup.
Love Helicopter Moms!

Like a mimosa juice ... or a bloody mary juice ... calm down!
I was a helicopter parent at first, but 4 kids in and I'm full on free spirit mom 😂😂😂
Haha same
Same. 😂
Same. And SO JUDGEMENTAL as a new mom too! Glad I grew out of that!
Yep. Those little nose miners just grind that right outta you, don't they?! 😂
The natural progression of things 😂

Jake’s physical comedy on the playground had me laughing out loud. And Brad’s surprise at the kid actually knowing his colors is so accurate. 😂
The evolution of this child’s name 🤣 my little Jack Russell Terrier 🤣🤣🤣
Plot twist, their “child” IS a jack russell terrier 😂
4:53 “Yeah, they’re buckling themselves in the car pretty well! They remember to do it like half the time!”
I kept waiting for Jake to climb to the very top of the play set to perch up there 🤣
0:08 “I see you fell, that’s how you learn buddy!”
The nicknames sent me 😂 I love how much footage there was of Jake parkour-ing all over the playground
This could’ve been first child vs second child for me 😂
Lol!! I see it now it fits perfect
That is how it works for most of us!
Also, the Gilmore girls references were spot on 😂🙌🏻
The helicopter sounds 👌 🔥 hilarious! Lil' Jack Sparrow
Meanwhile I was vibing Brad's laid back parenting skills
The helicopter noises in the background cracked me up 😂 it’s the little details you guys add that make this top tier comedy 🤣
I love the helicopter sound that is honestly the funniest part
🤣🤣🤣 I feel like I am/was a happy medium of the two of these. Also, it depends on the day as to how neurotic I am. 🤣🤣🤣

Jake’s commitment to climbing that play set, especially the slide sequence? Perfection. 😂
Great skit guys. ❤❤
This was an excuse for Jake to climb on the Jungle gym 🤣🤣🤣
The park acrobatics were pretty impressive!
The helicopter sound effects for the playground scenes 😂
the magic of the cardigan 😆
Half this video is just Jake doing parkour on a children’s playground. 😂😂
1000% free spirit mom, down to the Gilmore Girl opinions 😂
At first i thought Jake was freaking out and was climbing up the slide to shield Jack from the helicopter overhead
Topaz Toepads seriously needs to be an OPI nail polish color.
"I'm going to get your leash" 😂😂😂😂
Season 4 of Gilmore Girls IS when it took a turn for the worst!!
Yes! Was looking for this comment -- Brad was on point with his analysis!
Part 2 is a must 🤣👍👍👍👍
The parkour on the playground, lol!
Lol the helicopter sounds! I love Jake as the helicopter mom.

My kids were free range because we live on a cattle ranch in the middle of nowhere. Then when we got to town I was the hover mother.

Only Jake climbed

Oh gosh this one is priceless 🤣 Jake with his constant changing nicknames for Jack made me want to tally them up!
I thought Brad would be the strict one and Jake the chill one.
The helicopter in the background 🤣
Thought Jake was gonna go full on Eminem talking about cutting his grapes up into eighths there at the end
I wasn’t a helicopter mom until my youngest was born. That girl is so clumsy she knocked out a tooth.
The helicopter sounds were genius 😂
Jake climbing up the slide! Too good!! 😂
Every new iteration of "Jack" was more hilarious than the last
Helicopter mom on playground! 😆😆😆😆
You guys just get better and better with every vid. Can't stop laughing at this!!
Braaa, I feel that Gilmore Girl's comment in my soul.
This one is gold well done boys 😂👏🏼

Omg the helicopter 🚁 noise in the background at the park 😂
Jake on the playground. Hilarious. I wish I was just randomly walking by when that was filmed.
The helicopter sounds made the playground video😂
