My daughter had a pet hedgehog that we used to send behind the sofa bed. He would come out of the other side of the sofa with dust bunnies stuck in his quills which we would then pick off. LOL we had a Romba before there was such a thing.

Shaker cabinet doors are popular but need those bottom edges cleaned routinely. when we do a new kitchen I want flat panel doors-less little nooks and crannies to clean esp with black lab hair! Timely video, I did our frig, fan, under the TV cabinet etc yesterday before this came upon my feed😊 Don't forget dryer vent...!

I have medium wood tone shaker style cabinets. They are so time consuming cleaning on a regular bases. I didn't pick them from the builder. If we ever remodel the kitchen, my choice of cabinets will be a smooth 1-dimensional flat front cabinet. I did change the stove vent to an all metal grate. Best thing I did.
It was such a wonderful surprise to see a new video had been posted by you, Kay! Thank you...and also for the good news about Clover James.....I missed both of you, really, Your chatting and his antics entertain me for hours on the days I need to do mundane or boring repetitive things - even the reruns of older videos!

So inspiring! I use Dawn Professional Heavey Duty Degreaser on my range hood and vents. I apply it to a wet sponge and wipe, and the grease liquifies fast.

For my fridge vent cover I stuck a couple small magnets on the cover where the screws go because I wasn’t dealing with the screws again in 6 months, and then I taped the screws to the inside so I wouldn’t lose them ❤

This was great, thank you! I'm glad Clover is doing better 💚I clean the inside of my dishwasher but I've never cleaned the kickplate. Your shock at the manufacturer's plastic resonated with my soul haha. I also didn't know about the coils on the fridge, thank you for that too! We have the same vacuum and it has been the best vacuum I've owned.

I find it so hard to find the motivation to get down on the floor to clean things like those condenser coils and the bottoms of cabinets because I have chronic hip pain, but this video really makes me want to give it a shot! I can't imagine how much dust is down there at this point. 😵

When we moved in our current home, Oct. 2021, we found appliance plastic all over the appliances here. They were the original appliances from the build FIFTEEN years ago. Fifteen years the previous owner used that stuff and never... anyway, I felt for you.

Sometimes they are on the back on some models! Check your manual! (Always remember to disconnect the power before you do it though)

My kitchen cabiets are made of wood ("untreated", they don't have a lacquer) what do you think is the best way to clean them? they get streaky very easily, I'm afraid I will end up with a mess! oh and I'm so happy that Clover James is doing better!!

A bit embarrassing to admit how cleaning-averse I am. Don't like dirt but, boy, all that effort. This was INSPIRING, Kay, and relaxing in a way...with you doing the heavy lifting. Still, clean and shiny definitely has an appeal. Makes me wonder if I have any manufacturer's plastic too...actually, I should shrink-wrap everything just to keep it all clean. 😄Thanks for the encouragement and example, Kay! thanks for the reminder on doing some of these tasks. I have to get in on my dishwasher, because the seal has so much calcium buildup it sometimes leaks while it runs.

That is the plan!
I started with multiple vinegar cycles to soften the lime scale buildup. Followed with a baking soda cycle, which scrubs the grit for me. It didn’t get everything, but much less left for me to scrub. Don’t mix the soda and vinegar since the soda neutralizes the vinegar.

I used one cup each cycle. The vinegar goes in a bowl like Kay did. I sprinkled the soda all over.

Ours is an actual second oven but I’ve only used it as a warming drawer so far. It’s helpful!
