My daughter was diagnosed with Cushing Disease two years ago, she did have two tumors on her pituitary gland which was surgically removed but she still is on hydrocortosal daily. It is very rare and hard to diagnose. My other daughter's dog was just diagnosed with diabetes and cushings. Hang in there. Clover is such a sweet dog and you are great fur baby parents.

I volunteer at an animal sanctuary and we've had some animals make amazing recoveries from very serious issues. One goat in particular, the vets had given up on her. We basically brought her home to be with her friends at the end. But she was NOT done. She was in carts for a while, but slowly gained enough strength to walk without them! Carts really are an amazing way to help our friends keep their mobility and do the things they love. Hoping Clover won't actually need one, but if he does, he'll have so much fun. He's very lucky to have you.

Kay, I’m so sorry to hear about Clover. I’m a Dog Walker and most of my clients, friends & myself think of our canine companions as “Child Lite”. That is how we love them & that is how we care for them! We are rooting for Clover’s recovery from side affects and fun life on the proper medication!!! I know one of my clients got acupuncture for her pup’s (Oona, 👑Queen of Bad Decisions) back problems & received a lot of relief from her treatments. Maybe ask your Vet if that might help with the muscle issues? I know the whole Pack sends their most healing wishes to Clover!!!

For me, that prize is worth the price, and that's the thing that comforts me in the difficult times. Aw, Kay, so sorry about Clover! I definitely cried when I found out that my sheltie had a heart condition with the potential to significantly shorten her life span. Fortunately it's being managed well with meds, so the vet thinks she'll be able to have a full life, if not quite as long as we were hoping. (The breeder still has her grandma dog, who's currently age 17!) They really do just dig right into your heart and make a little home there before you know it. Also...let's freaking go!!! 🔥

I understand how worrying it is when our fur babies are ill, our sweet girl starting having some frightening gastro issues over the holidays. Two emergency vet visits & follow visits later & she is on a plan that seems to be working for her. I hope you will soon find a plan that helps Clover to live a long & happy life!

My little buddy was diagnosed with Cushings about 2.5 years ago. It seems it's often tricky to diagnose - Scruffy was diagnosed with diabetes first. (Cushings wasn't discovered until we couldn't get the diabetes under control, although it was actually secondary to the Cushings). It's been quite a journey here, but we've been very lucky to have great vet care relatively nearby which has helped to keep the focus on the most important things. My (unsolicited) recommendation is to be as gentle with yourself as possible as you discern your way through this season. Part of the way I have exercised care for myself on difficult days is to set aside moments of focusing on things that are positive and uplifting; you have definitely contributed to that. I have always experienced your channel as very good company; I am so grateful to you for that. Wishing you and your household lots of encouragement and support. You deserve nothing less.

I'm so sorry about Clover. It is so hard to deal with them being sick. We just want them healthy and happy (and to live forever). Hope you get some good news from the vet. I volunteer at an animal sanctuary and we've had some animals make amazing recoveries from very serious issues. One goat in particular, the vets had given up on her. We basically brought her home to be with her friends at the end. But she was NOT done. She was in carts for a while, but slowly gained enough strength to walk without them! Carts really are an amazing way to help our friends keep their mobility and do the things they love. Hoping Clover won't actually need one, but if he does, he'll have so much fun. He's very lucky to have you.

Take all the time you need. Completely understand how it is having an older dog with issues. Our dog Bruiser was 17 when he passed away in 2021. 😢.. he had cancer and kidney issues. He also got to where he wouldn't hardly eat. Prayers for Clover and you. Cause it is so hard seeing them sick and not able to do the things they used to do. Much love ❤️

Girl, our four legged kids are our loves. My senior citizen toy pomeranian is deaf and blind but so feisty. He has adjusted to his ‘abilities’ and so we helping him live his best life. Love is love.

Kay, I’m so sorry to hear about Clover. I’m a Dog Walker and most of my clients, friends & myself think of our canine companions as “Child Lite”. That is how we love them & that is how we care for them! We are rooting for Clover’s recovery from side affects and fun life on the proper medication!!!
I know one of my clients got acupuncture for her pup’s (Oona, 👑Queen of Bad Decisions) back problems & received a lot of relief from her treatments. Maybe ask your Vet if that might help with the muscle issues?

For me, that prize is worth the price, and that's the thing that comforts me in the difficult times. Kay, if Clover's back legs become weak before you can get wheels for him.If you take a beach towel and roll it up place around his belly just before his back legs and hold the ends in your hands that will help support his back end.The vet showed me how to do it when my Golden Retriever tore the major ligament in his leg..

Aw, Kay, so sorry about Clover! I definitely cried when I found out that my sheltie had a heart condition with the potential to significantly shorten her life span. Fortunately it's being managed well with meds, so the vet thinks she'll be able to have a full life, if not quite as long as we were hoping. (The breeder still has her grandma dog, who's currently age 17!) They really do just dig right into your heart and make a little home there before you know it.

Our dog Sherman suffered a traumatic injury regarding a disk in his back. His back legs stopped working. The Lord has blessed him, and he’s about 75% back to normal.

I understand how worrying it is when our fur babies are ill, our sweet girl starting having some frightening gastro issues over the holidays. Let's freakin' go!🔥Our pets definitely crawl into our hearts and build nests there. My prayers are with you as you make your way through this moment of care for Clover. My little buddy was diagnosed with Cushings about 2.5 years ago. It seems it's often tricky to diagnose - Scruffy was diagnosed with diabetes first. (Cushings wasn't discovered until we couldn't get the diabetes under control, although it was actually secondary to the Cushings). It's been quite a journey here, but we've been very lucky to have great vet care relatively nearby which has helped to keep the focus on the most important things. My (unsolicited) recommendation is to be as gentle with yourself as possible as you discern your way through this season. Part of the way I have exercised care for myself on difficult days is to set aside moments of focusing on things that are positive and uplifting; you have definitely contributed to that. I have always experienced your channel as very good company; I am so grateful to you for that. Wishing you and your household lots of encouragement and support. You deserve nothing less.
