Mendocino Shakedown: Police Accused of Corruption and Theft During Pot Seizures

- Three Mendocino County marijuana farmers and a former police officer from Texas have filed a new federal lawsuit alleging widespread theft, corruption, and coverups among law enforcement officials policing the Emerald Triangle, the Northern California region world-renown for the cannabis grown there. Senior Investigative Reporter Bigad Shaban reports.
Never talk to the police' they're not here to help you' they're here to help themselves'.
Me too!
My bubble is popped.
Your lucky its not a family court commissioner
it seems this was a huge plan all along considering whats happening to Afroman
Extortion, theft, lies, bullies, arrogance.... Standard police procedure.
🐖's
Yep! That's why it's your right to lie, lie, lie to them (if you have to) because their whole racket is based on false presumptions, tricks and lies. You don't have to comply with them at all unless they have a 4th Amendment warrant with accompanying affidavit from injured party, and even then they are required to take you straight to appear before the magistrate or it's kidnapping for ransom.

Been going on forever, Chicago is epicenter of being robbed, oppressed and even kidnapped by the so-called "police". Statism is the root cause.

Someone should introduce a law where a citizen can also search a cop's car, they seem to carry more drugs than a single offender.
You know those cops would state ” they’re afraid for their lives” on approach by anyone. All this would do would create a legal headache to justify the bodies that pile up.
There's an audit guy on here, Southeastern PA Cop Watch, who has a video where he goes up to a cop who is just sitting in his cruiser in a patch of bushes for some reason? And the guy asks the cop to search his car. The cop has this scared look on his face & literally flees
a cousin in college had a friend who always had a vial of hash oil at the bottom of his ounce bag, he was busted for possession by campus police.
the resulting depression caused him to go buy another ounce from the campus dealer.
Imagine his "joy" when he found his vial of hash oil in the bottom of the new bag of weed...
Gee, multiple government agencies involved in criminal activities. Tell us something we didn’t know.
Right! It'll be news when that isn't the case.
Gangs with badges. They run the drugs in my town.
Sometimes police jobs attract the worst.
We are shocked. Shocked! 😐Well not that shocked.
And it does still continues to happen all over California with most police and sheriffs being corrupted in California and protecting each other in their wrongdoings
Who is so naive as to not believe this doesn't happen ALL THE EFFING TIME - ALL OVER THE COUNTRY when cops and contraband find one another?

It’s not contraband. They want it they take it…what ever it is.

I'm no attorney but paying out over 2 million in damages to multiple plaintiffs IS an admission of guilt, whether or not you put that admission on paper seems trivial.
I've a friend that's been in law enforcement for many years. He says corruption within most departments is nothing new. His opinion in these people is what he calls "absolutely weak minded people" in many ways to say the least. He said, "we've criminal minded officers arresting criminals no different from them".
Without a doubt this corruption will NEVER stop. There's too much money to be made. Greed within people is relentless.
Police accused of corruption: Is anyone surprised?

I don't believe all cops are bad and evil. I also believe that cops are like teachers, underpaid. But cops get to see the ugly in the world. The shooting, robberies and a whole bunch of crime scenes after crime scene. PTSD is gone for years and years ignored. If you are dealing with it, then your career is over. Like the military, it is not allowed. I can't imagine the level of emotional issues some have. They should be seen twice a month to deal with the ugly they see. Maybe they will have better control.
Yeah I know....down the rabbit hole.

Then they lied in court, knowing exactly what to say and do to scare you and get a conviction. I don’t think this is a rogue cop problem. This is the normal in law enforcement today. The backlash you see against LE today is directly as a result of their own actions.
This says it all: One man who was attacked by police shot a police dog they had released on him to viciously assault him and tear away his flesh. His sentence was greater than the 496 police officers who have been convicted of crimes and sent to prison.

@@markmalasics8413 Thanks for your reply. With the guns that I owned and the ones my brother left behind when he died I had over 30 guns. All were registered properly and I didn’t even know any Hispanic people so it was impossible I was running guns for a cartel. Plus I had just gotten out of the military and was a gun enthusiast. I’m sorry you have been jaded into believing that everyone that is abused by the police are bad guys. Unfortunately, people like you have to be beaten up or shot by law enforcement before you see that out militarized and ultra aggressive police are the enemy of the Constitution. A part of this story I see as an excellent reason why departments should not have unmarked patrol/police vehicles. Not only does the use of unmarked police vehicles make it easier for creeps to impersonate legitimate law enforcement, but it makes it easier for legitimate cops to behave in corrupt even criminal behaviour.
When law enforcement makes claims of their primary concern to be to ‘Serve & Protect’, then why is stealth utilized?
When a marked patrol car in a neighbourhood indicates an established police presence, scaring criminals away. Instead the cops want to make the arrests (understandably), but then the primary concern is REVENUE.
*years back as a child I was taught that if I was ever lost or in trouble to ‘find a policeman, he’d help.’ Back then police vehicles were black and whites with a easily distinguishable red light on the roof. But now? How would a child in need of help find a police officer?
**and I do not consider ‘ghost letters’ a ‘clearly marked’ patrol vehicle. I saw 1 police SUV where you could not read the letters on the all black SUV until you stood 5’ away perfectly in line with the rear bumper, move 1’ and the letters disappeared. How does that help my wife recognize that the vehicle pulling her over is a legitimate police vehicle?
Making it dangerous for the public all because departments prefer stealth to professionalism!
Only purpose for an unmarked police vehicle is surveillance. But that vehicle should never be used when engaging the public.
Its a form of entrapment when they use unmarked cars for patrol or speed traps.
