That was only a manifestation of CThuun. The old God's are supposed to be ginormus. They even said Yogg is the size of nothrend itself. Y'sharajj was the size of the entire Malestrom/ Well of eternity. Nzoth is probably smaller seeing how he is the weakest. So CThuun has to be massive aswell. Probably the whole southern part of kalimdor? (Silithus, ahnquiraj, uldum, tanaris, ungoro) whatever he is he is no way as small as he was when we fought him in vanilla. That was a piece of him basically pushing him down into his prison

Was it really not possible for the Titans to kill the Old Gods, or was it just too much hassle to do so? Y'shaarj was killed, if I recall, because Aman'thul literally reached down and yanked him from the planet's crust like a turnip, and that did indeed cause damage. But if you swarmed an old god with a ton of human-sized creatures and more carefully chopped them up and purified the area around them, couldn't that work? It's just that an operation like that is implausible, especially given that any creatures that size that hang around near an old god for too long get corrupted. So, theoretically possible, but not plausible? What I would really like is if our good friend Xal'atath, who is POSSIBLY the last piece of a fifth old god who got mostly eaten by the others long ago, used the power we're going to feed her from Sargeras' sword to escape and then run around eating the other old gods who we've conveniently been "killing" (seriously weakening) for her, allowing her to re-grow into a full old god (or something like it) herself and become a raid boss. We need someone with a personality and a connection to us to be a "face" for the void threat, since faceless tentacle monsters and fancy voidwalkers are kind of lacking in that department. Plus then when we killed her we'd finally end the old god problem, the same way beating Garrosh after he'd absorbed Y'shaarj's heart finally killed the last bit of Y'shaarj's presence on Azeroth.
Kunori Azeroth itself is a sleeping titan. Everytime the titans tried to kill an old god they essentially ripped out a piece of their long lost sibling who was I think potentially the purest of all titans. Instead they basically contained the old gods and hoped Azeroth wouldn't be ultimately corrupted I think. The second part is practically impossible due to how deep the old gods are ingrained into the old and how massive they are I.E titan sized in full aspect I imagine
Kunori they could but the problem was the old gods have been there long enough that doing so did more harm than good as they risked damaging corrupting or killing azeroth herself by doing so.

I think it was confirmed in BfA that C'thun is definitely dead, and the only reason why Azeroth wasn't hurt by his death is because of the method of his death was different than that of Y'shaarj.

And this is where the lore really gets screwed up. You can't kill an Old God, much like the Legion, they just go "dormant" and regenerate. It's been confirmed that all the Old Gods we've fought in WoW are actually dead by the hands of 'adventurers'. You cannot kill an Old God because it will destroy the planet they're corrupting. Are you starting to see the plot holes forming here? At this point, I don't think blizz even knows what lore is anymore.
We can’t kill an old god without seriously destroying the place around them. Blizzard had that in the lore when they killed c’thun and yogg. And with the new evolved aqir that n’zoth used, im saying he isn’t truly dead. Him or yogg. Both the areas around their prisons are free of corruption.
You actually can kill an old god permanently but what the titans did was they tore an old god out of the planet then killed it. It’s better to kill the parasite first so it lets go of you.
War of the Shifting Sands is one of the events that I would like to see in the big screen. Its easy to understand and very appealing, there's 3 dragons that sacrifice their live to buy enough time for the druid to seal the gates. I believe non-fan and newcomers of Wacrafts can enjoy the story too.
Ahn’Qiraj.. That place always had my attention. Can anyone please tell me, who lived in that city before or how it was even created? I doubt C’thun would build an enormus city just to destroy it and infest it like that.
Long overdue answer! Ahn Qiraj was a titan facility, Cthuns prison. The qiraji and silithid infested the area and slew/corrupted the tol'vir living there, from what I recall
hah I got a suggestion to watch your channel and i'm really interested. I love old gods lore and the graphics complement the story very well, thank you :)
I love all the old gods and the lore behind them and why they exist and how blizzard puts the universe's origin together. The extra baddy baddest of the bad-bad gods. (no sarcasm) C'thun is my favorite baddy badder
I would love a villian corner on Arthas but that would need to be a big one (being a wow favorite character). So what if you cover Queen Azhara (many player who havent read the books would understand more why the hype of a naga expansion)
WoW lore is so funny if you actually look at what happens in-game, today, some random lvl 40 guy named DickDestroyer69 walks in the room and just one-shots C'thun by pressing any button on his keyboard.
her father was the last boss in vanilla and she watched his death happen as she hid in the ship where cookie is now and became crazy for revenge.. there you go. Done
Thats probably one of the best lore videos about WoW out there, keep up the excellent work :D P.S. : The facial expression of the dragons is probably the most adorable things i've seen.
Hey man i have a question umm the klaxxi follow yshaarj but in the vid here u said that yshaarj was killed BEFORE the klaxxi started existing can u pls explain
Assuming that C’thun is indeed alive, and that was just a small manifestation of his power and all we really did was beat him back into his prison, I’d certainly expect that Sargeras’ sword did quite a bit more damage to his actual body. That said, however, the sword plunging into the earth also opened up a huge font of uber-powerful easily-weaponized everyone-went-to-war-over-it titan blood RIGHT IN FRONT of C’Thun’s containment zone. If he still lives, he’d have to be crazy not to take some kind of advantage of that. But, I guess we’ll see if that goes anywhere.
The speculation about C'thun coming back... I like. Its very true, although I believe it will not be this expansion we deal with him more... permanently. We still got now Nzoth to deal with... and then maybe a crazy lich king (which seems even more powerful than Arthas?) and/or a certain "I really believe life is shit" women. But yea I can see C'thun being bound with his own expansion. Maybe to look upon the back of Azeroth? We cannot say. But yea we gonna deal with him most likely before the last expansion as I see it which will be the whole Light Versus Darkness.
Could C'thun be influencing Sylvanas and her actions? I know you think she's pretty much acting according to her morals, but it kind of makes a little bit of sense; especially with Warbringers: Azshara being focused on him so much. And I know this video is pretty old, but *shrug*.
Blizzard needs to chill with these retcons. If they want these "Void Lords" to be a thing, fine I can deal with that, but I remember the Old Gods being "Outside the cycle" meaning they do not live and they do not die. I want C'Thun back please. As for your next villain perhaps one of the old Scartlet Crusade members? Or maybe Professor Puttress leading up to his betrayal of Sylvannas.
Yeah, C'Thun is not dead. If he was, major plot point about the Old Gods not being killable would go out of the window. Yeah, they killed Y'sharajj, but it was Titan, leader of the Panthen himself who did it... and it resulted in terrible wound in Azeroth. If C'Thun was also dead, then it would have to mean that the players are as powerful as Titan... and that they caused a major harm to Azeroth by doing so.
Huge mistake!!! Lore wise, you can't FORCEFULLY REMOVE the old gods, because they are inside the flesh of azeroth, and it would make her bleed to death. It's absolutely not the same thing as you say. You can kill them, an giant entity like titans can't just rip them of of azeroth, that's very different. It's like a tree, we see the tree, but there's a lot of things going on inside the earth below the tree. If the tree dies, the rest will cease to emit energy, which will ease azeorth pain. It still doesn't mean we can remove their physical body of azeroth, it just mean killing them is possible, and unless some entity revive them, they will stay dead (it's pretty obvious that if the legion can bind their souls to a place, the old gods, created by the strongest beings of this universe, can do the same, ny'alotha seem to be the realm where the Olds gods of azeroth comes from. It's possible that it's a plane where their soul is stored and await for a resurrection, with their power, it wouldn't be strange.
Hiru - its been almost 2 months since your last Q&A, and 2 months since you were supposed to release a new DnD :( both of these are why i subscribe (and have for years now). Please don't forget about us that like the Q&A series :( And would love to see the new season of DnD come out soon :( The 2 min bite-sized facts every tuesday is ok, but i can look that stuff up myself. I (and most of your fans) look forward to your original content, which has seemed to die out lately...
C'thun will be back in BfA since Sargeras was his servant and he plunging the sword into, of all places, Silithius. will free his master. Also, Blizzard wanna recycle content.
I've actually been waiting for something to happen with the sword and c'thun but im starting to lose hope theyll do anything with defeated old gods. Now busy with their knaifu waifu xal.
Fandral also just straight up hated Bronze Dragons. You see, Fandral was the architect of Teldrassil intending for it to replace Nordrassil as a source of immortality for the night elves for the time being. The problem was that Nozdormu couldn't be bothered to bless the darn tree like he did to Nordrassil! Damn Bronze Dragons are soo fucking annoying in lore sometimes. Nozdormu dragged his feet in the events in Day of the Dragon, he didn't bless Teldrassil, and he dragged his feet about helping during the War of the Shifting Sands!
Stabbing Silithus just proves that Blizzard still hates that zone even after the Cataclysm "Revamp" i mean they did admit to doing a shitty job the first time around while 'redesigning' questing and storyline for the zone. lmao
I think that N'zoth can resurrect the other old gods. I'm just basing this off of what his Hearthstone card does, which is resurrect minions with Deathrattles, and every old god appears to have a very Deathrattle like effect upon dying in lore.
Slight correction, YOU can kill them but just not the ripping from a planet itself method. Too deeply embedded to do it that way. But the solution a la raid examples is just as effective.
hirumaredx from what i recall.........there are really weird videos of this giant squid with an eye on top of it. Could that somehow be him? he was big as and he would swim towards you if you got too close. This could be him????
So i made my own c'thun mini with lots of arms and he rides a paliquin. Mostly air dry clay and foam from Michael. I was actually going to make a beholder but i just went with it.
Calling it now , first patch of war for azeroth will drop more allies and factions to recruit for both sides and the war is just going to reach shit show levels (who knows maybe theyl nuke two more faction cities ? even possibly drive each faction to the brink of having only one city each) second patch will have both sides in a near death struggle against each other with maybe some third party people like khadgar starting to notice some odd shit going on in the areas we defeated the old gods , third patch boom either cthun or yog full blown start fucking shit up big time and forces the alliance and horde to partly cool their jets. The tittle "Battle for Azeroth" is totally going to be twisted into Azeroth having to fend off the Old Gods or at least one of them by the end.
Is it me or night elfs are actually villains? Everybody worships them as ultimate good, but druids basically plays small gods that shift and changes country for they think its best. Isnt that ultimate arrogance from them?
The Night Elves are constantly mucking things up because of their insistence on changing everything into how they think it should be. Shamans are the real protectors of nature.

kinda interesting how both you guys have ulterior motives in trying to confirm these things.
I maybe wrong, but did not the trolls form a empire during the war with the aqir. They were just tribes that span the supercontinent first but during the war they united and formed a empire
I think the main problem with the old gods is that the Titans ripped the old God from the planet cause direct damage to the sleeping Titan. Killing them should be fine, ripping them from the planet is the issue

This dude has to be TheDuelLogs. I was just watching his yugioh videos and the voice sounds exactly the same
just something: old gods are "dead" physically, but as it was said they dont experience death like us
You actually can kill an old god permanently but what the titans did was they tore an old god out of the planet then killed it. It’s better to kill the parasite first so it lets go of you.
Sinestra! I wanna know more about her
read "night of the dragon" it's all you need but to understand it completely you should read the "day the dragon" and all the manga about the Sunwell
My dream ends. Your nightmare begins!
He can’t be dead he resets every week so he is practically still alive but lore wise is dead
My mind autocorrected the thumbnail to cthulu
hah I got a suggestion to watch your channel and i'm really interested. I love old gods lore and the graphics complement the story very well, thank you :)
And yet we are killing old gods :D
I just realized C'thuud is the Azeroth Kathulu xD
the drawings in this video are so cute :3
I love all the old gods and the lore behind them and why they exist and how blizzard puts the universe's origin together.
The extra baddy baddest of the bad-bad gods. (no sarcasm)
C'thun is my favorite baddy badder
I would love a villian corner on Arthas but that would need to be a big one (being a wow favorite character).
So what if you cover Queen Azhara (many player who havent read the books would understand more why the hype of a naga expansion)
Just that I think it is kinda important to notice that C'Thun keeps reviving because these adventurers challenging him are fum for him.
This series is honestly amazing. After the first two i've really been looking forward to this one. Keep it up!
WoW lore is so funny if you actually look at what happens in-game, today, some random lvl 40 guy named DickDestroyer69 walks in the room and just one-shots C'thun by pressing any button on his keyboard.
This is the best and only series I 100% watch at your channel! Cool!
i vote for vanssa vancleef of the dark brotherhood and i love your vid keep up the good work
Kearen Baugh She's technicly a hero right now
her father was the last boss in vanilla and she watched his death happen as she hid in the ship where cookie is now and became crazy for revenge.. there you go. Done
What sword ?
Thats probably one of the best lore videos about WoW out there, keep up the excellent work :D
P.S. : The facial expression of the dragons is probably the most adorable things i've seen.
Hey man i have a question umm the klaxxi follow yshaarj but in the vid here u said that yshaarj was killed BEFORE the klaxxi started existing can u pls explain
Tup he might of mixed it up with the mantid. Since the bugs changed into the different species they are now. To nerubians of northrend
It is kinda funny that the old gods accidentally caused everything that happens in wow
Not sure about the newer lore, but I can assure you it wasn't accidental in old lore. They plan like you wouldn't believe.
wait... Shit, was Sargarus trying to kill Azeroth to stop the corruption? HMMM
What about the days of the black empire?
Maybe with the silithus wound that dragon under AQ will become relevant
Blizzard needs to chill with these retcons. If they want these "Void Lords" to be a thing, fine I can deal with that, but I remember the Old Gods being "Outside the cycle" meaning they do not live and they do not die. I want C'Thun back please. As for your next villain perhaps one of the old Scartlet Crusade members? Or maybe Professor Puttress leading up to his betrayal of Sylvannas.
Garrosh, Varimathras, Guldan(both), Cho'gall
Yeah, C'Thun is not dead. If he was, major plot point about the Old Gods not being killable would go out of the window. Yeah, they killed Y'sharajj, but it was Titan, leader of the Panthen himself who did it... and it resulted in terrible wound in Azeroth. If C'Thun was also dead, then it would have to mean that the players are as powerful as Titan... and that they caused a major harm to Azeroth by doing so.
Loving this videos :D
I'd like for you to review Profesor Putricide ^^
I love the part when Sargeras penetrated Azeroth with his huge sword. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!? *lenny face*
Looking at these comments I can't believe no one feels bad for Fandral.
*C'thun chilling in prison* *giant fucking space sword lands in front of him* HEY WHAT THE FUCK?
Stabbing Silithus just proves that Blizzard still hates that zone even after the Cataclysm "Revamp" i mean they did admit to doing a shitty job the first time around while 'redesigning' questing and storyline for the zone. lmao
"From the earth.. he draws strength.. our earth.. our.. strength."
It’s straight up gangster how Aman’Thul straight up grabs Y’shaarj from space. It’s like you are a tick on this planet, get lost
You had me up until 8:02. I don't recall any mention of Sargeras's sword being stuck into Azeroth!
except c'thun cant be dead permanently, if he were azeroth would have scarred, we simply killed his physical construct or something
hirumaredx from what i recall.........there are really weird videos of this giant squid with an eye on top of it.
0:20 NANI?
I am was so glad to see this in my recommendations.
lel this is pretty much things that i already know but i still watch it and enjoy it, keep it up buddy! Make Malygos or Lady Vashj.
Why Chogall tried to revive Chtull? I though that he was working fo Nzoth, tje old god that corrupted Death Wing
I liked that voice for C'thun and how it tended to speak up from time to time while in the raid. It added a lot to the adventure.
Sargarys: *stabs the planet*
Me: "This is who you idiots decided should become the lich King?"
who the fuck is sargarys
Liked the art style.
C'thun when Sargeras stabs Azeroth: "Holy shit little more south and he would had hit me."
I don't even play wow, but I still got recommended this. Still pretty cool, though!
I maybe wrong, but did not the trolls form a empire during the war with the aqir. They were just tribes that span the supercontinent first but during the war they united and formed a empire
Sargeras weakened C'thun even more, because he hit half his body. xD
Is it by chance that the C'Thrax mentioned is Mythrax the same one who is revealed in vol'dun and is one of the bosses in Uldir raid?
When you watch how huge Sargeras is, you wonder how the fuck did broxigar manage to hurt him :DD
I mean, Cthun's probably either dead or very very hurt now seeing as he got Sargeras's sword right through him.
I think the main problem with the old gods is that the Titans ripped the old God from the planet cause direct damage to the sleeping Titan. Killing them should be fine, ripping them from the planet is the issue
C'Thun ain't dead, he is a Cthulu ripoff so this quote will suit nicely:" that which is not dead can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die"
