Top 10 Undead Lore Characters

- I basically had to become an expert on all 10 characters on this list first, and then go back and write their parts from memory to make it flow and seem more authentic. For some of them, I even went out and did their quest chains, or watched videos on them to make sure I didn't miss something important before finishing their part of the list. That is to say, I spent way more time on this video than I really should have, and its not even really a popular topic so I know it wont do as well as my other regular top 10s.

I'm pretty sure he was used as a quest giver for collecting a staff. Cata revamp nixed that.

Gunther Arcanus will hopefully get brought back into the fold. I think he has just been forgotten about.
You used to get a quest to recover 2 or so items... I believe either an orb and staff, or book and something else...

As a rogue main I can confidently say that Belmont probably just used Vanish after killing two or three worgen. Or maybe that's just me, lmao.

Yee old combat rogues would just slaughter em all and be done with it xD with him even being undead he regained his lost HP by cannibalize xD

Even after all these years, I still remember the quest chains involving Nathanos. That is why I'm not surprised to see him as number one. I remember all those times he'd one shot my pally tank back in vanilla.

Ah, Nathanos. One of my favorite Undead. I always liked him back in Vanilla when, as a Horde, Sylvanas sends you off to trained by him and he constantly acts like you're worth less than the dirt on his shoes. Honestly I strongly believe the two of them had something going on, he seems particularly devoted to her, even for a Forsaken, and some dialogue and quests make it sound like he thinks of her in more than a professional capacity. Largely that he specifically tells you not to read that letter you picked up in Vanilla that you mentioned in the video, and that in the aftermath of Vol'jins funeral ambush she's joking with him. Can you imagine that? Sylvanas, ice queen of WoW, joking?
Sorry but Nathanos won't bang anyone since they're dead and don't have any blood circulation needed for banging, but knowing blizzards alternate univerese and shit, they'll make another Twilight story and give a dead being erection and a possibility to reproduce against all biological laws.

Forsaken are so much fun. You brought back some great BC memories on my undead priest: Gunther Arcanus ... Commander Belmont ... and then Apothecary Putress in the WotLK cinematic. Thank for your effort. Your work is timeless.
I really wish Blizz would put an Undead character in Heroes of the Storm. Professor Putricide would be amazing. or any of these people. xD

KT wasnt out when this was made, Leoric and Xul are diablo, stitches isnt undead but a monstrosity, and arthas isn't undead. Really only anub and sylv apply
KT is here now though? Leoric and Xul being from diablo makes them any less undead? Stitches is not a monstrosity but an abomination AND very undead. Arthas is undead, he cut out his fucking heart and dropped it below icc. Mouse over them ingame and you'll see they're undead. You could argue Stukov is undead too

Isn't the reason that med'an doesn't appear in WoW because he is basically god status? Like if he would be around to help us we'd literally have no reason to be around because he could just snap a finger and deathwing/the old gods/anything would be obliterated?
They basically gave him the powers of every class in the game. He's the ultimate Mary Sue character and would not work in World of Warcraft.
Yes he's a super mary sue. Which is why Blizz doesn't want him around and use snips from his comic to use in WoW lore while put it into a different story. i.e. Cho'Gal in cata, Felstorm's stuff. Khadgar is kind of taking his place.

honestly even though you put so much time into this video and it may not make the views this was a very indepth video into the underpowered under-hyped characters in the undead Lore, i thoroughly enjoyed it considering i have most of my chars as undead (except shaman) and i've played the storylines through silverpine and so fourth

I know. What bothers me most about this channel, is that he has the communication skills of a grade schooler, that has never come in contact with another adult. He constantly mispronounces common words, uses odd inflections, and doesn't seem to understand how things SHOULD sound by default, and jumps to odd conclusions for pronunciations. It's just...baffling....

Lilian Voss probably could have been lower on the list since it seems like her storyline was hit and miss (might have been blizzard using their usual half-***ed writing)

Sylvanas is by no means evil, she is one of the most cunning and powerful leaders of the Warcraft universe, but deep down she is really not much more than a hardened and traumatized young elf that fears death and struggles desperately to survive. This is one of the reasons that she is one of my favorite characters in WoW.

Sylvanas is more than a banshee after all not all banshees get to have two forms and sylvanas is not evil but she does evil things to help her people and is by no means the next garrosh as well as she is not traumatized more or less she is obssesd with death since she became undead and she is not young after all zombies do not age

I think it was some kind of disguise he put on himself.
I think they just wanted to distinguish him as an important character but didn't bother making a unique model for him.

this video was incredible. i know you don't seem too keen on it cause of the work load/esoteric topic but it'd be great to see more videos that focus on smaller/overlooked lore characters (Which is something that other lore channels tend to stray away from)
Best lore video I've watched in a long time. Its nice to hear about the big guys like Arthas and Illidan, but stories like these 10 remind me how rich the world of Warcraft actually is. Incredible job!
