But recently his voiceover on a Super Bowl ad for Jeep, which carried a powerful message about unity, is actually turning out to have the exact opposite of its intended effect.
Social media commentary about the ad is highlighting that not everyone was moved by The Boss' message to come together in these divisive times. So, what are they saying online and why is Springsteen’s ad making things worse?

Ridiculous. He had the equivalent of 1 drink via the breathalyzer. Something isn’t adding up. Sounds like the cops wanted a high profile arrest for their own egos.
He only had a blood alcohol level of 0.002 from several sources I've read and the legal limit was 0.08. He was waaaay under the legal limit.

It is a common tactic by people stopped for DUI. Regardless, taking even two shots of tequila in 20 minutes and than driving a motorcycle around a park/beach area with alot of pedestrian traffic is dangerous and the police were prudent to stop him.

We had three old Willys Jeep pickups on the farm, you couldn't kill 'em. Lockout hubs, flathead six, they would do 55 MPH top speed with the pedal to the floor. Well, the evidence SEEMS to indicate that the man made a mistake. If that is true, he will make restitution. By all accounts he is a good person. "Good" doesn't mean perfect-never has, never will. Let's forgive and move forward. People who bring joy to the masses can (and should) have a longer leash sometimes. As far as the commercial goes...I appreciate the intent behind it. I also appreciate the fact that Bruce is someone who could have EASILY ran away and hid from life after he found success, yet he continues to stay true to his mission and do good works.

I don't agree with his politics. His alcohol level wasn't high like the levels by our state law. The answer is it was a Park Ranger. I live near a national park.
