There is a good reason why this guy is called 'The BOSS". He is a musician for the people. You can tell he really wants to engage with the audience and give them a top notch show. A lesson that a lot of the smug, arrogant, flashy young musicians of today could learn from.
I saw Bruce and the band in Sunderland (UK) on 22nd May 2024 and it was pouring down. They opened with this. I was lucky enough to get footage of them all coming off stage at the end of the show including Bruce who waved to us all. Best concert I’ve been to so far.
This is a man who has an overflowing love and passion for music and his fans are keenly aware of this fact and it's reflected in their reaction to him. There is one thing advanced technology can't do for music and will never be able to do and we are watching it. There is so much to be said for the musician who leaves his clear "Human Imprint" on the music. And Bruce leaves his prints all over the music and his fans have no problem seeing it. I often wonder if artist's like Bruce Springsteen are truly aware of how respected and admired they are by their fans. I think Bruce may just be to humble to realize it.
***** Having read my comments throughout RUclips, you certainly know I'm rarely at a loss for words. But you kind sir, have left me speechless. You even brought me to tears. Now that I have composed myself, I should simply say thank you and leave it at that. But I think you know I can't do that. When I experience music, I have this great desire to express myself. I have an absolute love affair with music and when I listen to it, it's not the song itself I feel compelled to speak about, but how the song makes me feel or how I believe it affects other people or the genuine love of that which I see an artist performing. It varies, but it's always written from the heart and I'm honored that you see the sincerity in my words. You have made my "Year" with your beautiful compliment and I could never express to you, how much it truly means to me. It's amazing to me too know that you have taken the time to hear me and for that, I could never thank you enough.....Diane
You once again honor me with this beautiful compliment and I thank you you so very much. I agree 100% with your thoughts about Mark Knopfler. He is a rare man who can paint a picture with his words. I can get nice and cozy in my favorite chair and listen to his music, headphones on, eyes closed and the next thing I know, I'm no longer in my comfy chair. He has taken me into his song. Everything around me disappears. All I'm aware of is the music. He can take you outside of yourself, which is sometimes a wonderful place to be. But there is nothing that can move me more than the outro of "Are We In Trouble Now". It is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. It's not a complex piece but I can feel every note in that solo. I just wish it were longer. It deserves to be. I don't think you ever need to worry about my not expressing myself. I don't think it would be possible. I can't help but put myself out there when I hear certain music. I don't understand how more people don't. I thank you again for your gracious words. Truly.
What a lot of people don't realize is that this song was written for The Rising, which was basically Bruce's 9/11 album. It's probably the most rocking song on that album outside of Mary's Place. He was telling New York City and the country "Don't worry, we're gonna find a way. We'll be back, and we're coming after you." When he plays it live, sometimes he has kids come on stage to sing the chorus part with nobody but Max leading them on with the beat. I think The Rising is his best album since the 80's and remains so.
Few years ago, I was travelling in a boda boda ( motorbike ) on the back; driver turned on this song out loud. We started to sing, and people follwing, running and dancing around. In the beautiful fields of Uganda. The best moment of my entire life. I felt so alive.

Hello friend, 77 here likewise gimped up but this sets me free!
This was my late son's favourite song. 😢 We played it at his funeral. 🎶 He loved his Ma's music growing up. My other son is getting married next summer and no doubt Ma is going to recommend this in his memory. He loved to dance.🕺🏾 🎶 Corey❤
I watched this video when it first aired all those years ago. Instant ❤. His talent knows no bounds. Keep rockin’ Bruce. X

+Giuseppe Ferrazza True that !!!
I just hope I have an opportunity. Life is like that, though. 'Next time. There will always be a next time.' No, there won't always be a next time.
It's absolutely life changing to see him live..
He and his guys have a rare ability to totally connect with their audiences-rockers with the souls of folkies!
His songs were always meaningful nd soul lifting.Even today he has maintained that charm in his songs.
merci forever .-)))

Don't ever give up on life. Even when you're completely down and out, there will always be someone to take your hand. Trust me. Grab a friend or loved one and dance with them to this song and feel your troubles disappear. I did it tonight! :)

This song is one of my favorites, and everyone in the band looks like they are having so much fun singing. Thanks Bruce for everything that you did for me and Neal, and everyone else.

Goosebumps each and everytime... each year more intense, cant wait to see you live!
Moving, inspiring, touching, breaking, making, chilling song! Power of music can be felt in it.
I just realized my head is sore from all the bittersweet memories and also, from grinning ear to ear the whole song. I canèt begin to say enough of this song but it would take pages...
I'm sorry to say, i never really listened to Bruce's music, but my god when i heard this song,it sent shivers down my spine, certainly a massive fan of he's music now
Same here.
❤
Such a beautiful amazing man. Seen him in Belfast 10 years ago this month. Best concert I've ever been to. Bruce has such a way with the crowd. And that night it was absolute hysteria at the 02 arena!
Mr. Canada he certainly is, gosh when he does that with his eye brows very sexy. Bruce was lucky to have worked with Roy Orbison
He truly is a legend and a musical hero. I've looked up to him since I was a kid when I first heard his songs. He is one of a kind. His music touches your soul.
Agree completely, thats why hes called the Boss? :-D
