When my great grandpa bought my great grandma a washing machine for one of their anniversaries (I think this was 1939), she cried. She loved that thing. She always said without any irony that that was one of the best inventions of the 20th century.
My grandma said the same! And she was absolutely right, that thing allowed women to really get out of the house and do other things! (before the washing and "drenching out water would take days, literally!)
Agree, washing machine and dryer is great innovation. I used to wash cloth by hand before, scrub it hard over wood board, each cloth take 3-5 minutes and there're so many clothes in family of 5. It will take at least 30-60 minutes just to wash all of them. Then need to rinse it multiple times, the squeeze hard, then hang them under sun. Hopefully it's sunshine. Big head ache during raining session. It's hard work and has to do everyday. Today, just dump all cloth, put detergent then press start button,,...done. Just need to do it once a week. Awesome !!
You still had to slice your own bread to use the toaster though, lol. Sliced bread wasn't invented until 1928. It was thought of before then, but the prototype burnt up and the inventor had to start all over.
Please do a group version of 100 years of fashion, Like 4 or 5 friends through the years with the things they wore & the trendy things they did in that decade, for instance 2010's all about taking selfies so do that for the last 100 yrs. Capture what young group of friends did the last 100yrs.
Jared Wullschleger I'm talking about how she doesn't know how to use the thing for washing clothes. The clothes are supposed to go through the rolls to press out the water. She doesn't do that.
Jared Wullschleger These things were everywhere back then. Even if you didn't own one, you would still have seen one somewhere. And seriously, it just takes one look at this thing to know how to do it.
Cool video. I would've highlighted the vacuum over the toaster in the 1910s. A toaster did not save that much time but vacuums did. They were a revolution, especially for maids in large houses.
I don't know -- from the 40s to the 80s, the technology seems to be off by about a decade. Yes, television existed in the 40s, microwaves probably existed in the 60s, and the food processor probably existed in the 70s, but they didn't become commonplace household items until about ten years after they're shown here -- TV in the 50s, microwaves in the 70s, and food processors in the 80s.
Well only SOME of them. TV was invented in ‘39. But it was mostly used in the 40’s and 50’s. The microwave was invented in ‘62. But yeah everything else is kinda off
Lol it's not an iron it's like a washing machine. I think you wash the clothes in the tub part then put them through the 2 cylinders to get the excess water out of the clothes.
We're at the forefront of technology. Electric cars, tablet computers, 3D printing, even body-powered devices. We've made leaps and strides in the fields of medicine, biotechnology, transportation. We have access to a plethora of information at our fingertips. And the best you could give us is a vacuum cleaner?
I want that 1910 toaster cause pop tarts get stuck in every toaster I've ever used but that open design solves all the problems. Someone bring that shit back but not Dyson, yall shit is overpriced and only for rich spendthrifts. Damn product placement.
lol I have an abundance of old toasters since I live in a really old house with lots of long forgotten hiding places. well that&my grandpa used to collect them.
My house (that I moved to in 2006) was built in 1975 in the same street as it always has been ... and not a single thing changed except the kitchen when my dad Upgraded it in MID-2012. and I think that ghosts live in house.😂
I would of put a smart home thing like Alexa or Google home and her controlling the lights. However, you did comment this 2 years ago and they weren't as prevalent then so nvm :/
I fucking HATE those ripped-up jeans. I mean, you're supposed to wear them out yourself & just wear them for knocking around the house; not as a fashion statement..!

The toaster is the best thing since sliced bread! 😂
You still had to slice your own bread to use the toaster though, lol. Sliced bread wasn't invented until 1928. It was thought of before then, but the prototype burnt up and the inventor had to start all over.

Yes! I love this idea. I thought of that too. They totally should!
that would be awesome, I can imagine the 70s friends going to a disco and the 80s to an arcade, LOL
and the 90s friends are all packed around a SNES. or is that just my friends? lol :-)

Lol, this was a house innovation video, but I’m pretty sure it was also sponsored.
nah the innovation is men finally doing housework
It was a sponser so yeah
Was this just a really long winded Dyson advert?
Yes
Best comment on here!
kinda it was a regular video but it was sponsored by dyson thats why
+Cheetos Are Tha Bomb
Then it's a biased video, and they should feel bad for making it.
Esther Cherukara the Rumba is the REAL new thing!!!
my grandma STILL uses that same food processor from the 70's...
there are some old machines that are still working! most of them don't get broken so easily
Masha-Mallow What's a food processor?
Vera Papp is it nokia??
nope, they're some kind of stuff made in the USSR :D or a copy of a machine designed in the USSR :D
My mother has a blender that is older than me.

Oh, admit it, you just want to see a naked chick on the bed! :D
They did lingerie already but I want to see pajamas, too!
Now I realised why I am still single. It takes 100 years to find a man who will vacuum my house
80's. always wished i lived a day in that decade. it fits my personality so much and its verrry unappreciated
Unappreciated? That's all it is now.
***** it is.
So shallow 2D with no personality?... Oh wait that's now too.
I liked her hair
***** it's not lmao if you see, theres so many people that despise it. the 90s are overrated though.
i just love the 90s
me too
why ? that's my period
Why.
90s were a vibe to me even 80s to
I like how you have the guy cleaning with the vacuum instead of the girl. It shows how far we've come, societal wise.
yes!!!
It shows how we are going downhill
Right..
Right

Clear to see that she didn't live in the 30's lol

i couldn't agree more guysss shall we do?
Ikr that would be SO cool.
Just found this channel already watched every single one of these videos and now it's 3:00am story of my life 😂
How much did dyson pay for that product placement. I can think of so many more and better innovations than them.
Uhh the innovation was the man doing cleaning work. Not the vacuum machine.
They could've of placed a smarthome thing like an Alexa or Google home and her controlling the lights
Cool video. I would've highlighted the vacuum over the toaster in the 1910s. A toaster did not save that much time but vacuums did. They were a revolution, especially for maids in large houses.
Wow, what a stunning woman!
I still use that Tupperware bowl with lid from the 70's while camping. I got it from my grandma (I'm 18, she's 80 haha) :)
The 60s and 80s gals looked gorgeous!
im pretty sure it's all the same girl lol
I just love 20th century. I wish to live at least one year each decade. I love how the fashion changed and overall, how everything was changing

I like the series like this. Thank you for such a wonderful video!!!
This video is really fantastic! Very well done! I liked both the clothes&interiors, which worked as a "frame" for the innovations.
Fallout came straight outta '50s
Yellow bear sorry fella, but no shit
Yea it took place during that time (fo4 mainly)
The 2000's were so accurate and I love how you use props
The man was definitely the best innovation. So many uses... ;)
cedeelbe ew you sick dick
If a man said this about women all feminists would be screeching sExIsT
Why is the 60s always so perfect
That toaster looks awesome I'm sick of waiting for my toast it feels like 4 hours
CAMMY _THEBEST ??? 1 minute=4 hours????

One of the first electric food processors was the Starmix, introduced by German company Electrostar in 1946
i love how they added a man cleaning at the end. very good job.
Yeah sure and then you hypocrite feminists complain like "where are the real men?" 🤦♂️🤡
So, we need nearly a hundred year to get the best innovation of all: Men do the household chores. Perfect! :)
Loved it but one thing. TV's were not really common in the 40's. The had JUST been invented and it was war time. Not many people had them. 50's yes.
And tñan literraly NOBODY has his own computers in the 80s,they started to be affordalbe in the 00s
The TV was invented in 1918 but most Americans got there hands on 1 by the late 1950's
@@personadesconocida9803 yeah
wow, 50's, 70's, 80's and 90's were just so cute, i would love to live all that beautiful things, so bad, i borned in 2000's😭😭😪 nice vid!❤
We're just at the beginning of he modern age. Imagine 100 years from now. Ugh, I wanna be here for that. :(
What was the song during the 40s-50s scene? I've heard it on an app lol.
I don't know -- from the 40s to the 80s, the technology seems to be off by about a decade. In love with all those vintage innovations
I think 100 years of aquariums or something would be pretty cool, if they've actually been around that long. Or maybe 100 years of candy?
my favorite home innovation by far was the man at the end of the video helping out the woman cleaning the house
80s. No questions asked.
these videos are so well made!
the 50s are amazing!! I make my Sims house like that haha
+Alina Dovbis actually the great depression was in the thirties after the First World War!
I love how the property changes so much from year to year!
The homes were cool too I guess....
They should of narrowed it down to cleaning products or just kitchen wares or entertainment products
What is the Dyson doing there? I thought they weren't available in the USA
0:46 Shining's carpet
I know right.
"I feel like this is a commercial for a vacuum"
*2:42** rolls around*
"called it"
I am not from 1930 but I would swear that the iron machine doesn't work like that.
I like the man with the dyson vaccum. Lol
Lol it's not an iron it's like a washing machine. I think you wash the clothes in the tub part then put them through the 2 cylinders to get the excess water out of the clothes.
+SARAH lool, maybe is for that purpose but the clothes should be between the two cilinders and not as the video shows 🙈
My grandmother still had one in the 70's. Brings back memories!
It's a washing machine with an electric wringer. It's not an automatic washing machine. Those came out later I believe.
Safety matches, top innovation of 19th century.
I like how the Home innovation in the 2010s were men actually doing smth at gome lol
My favorite innovation was the HelpfulHusband 2.1. Where can I get one?
We're at the forefront of technology. Electric cars, tablet computers, 3D printing, even body-powered devices. We've made leaps and strides in the fields of medicine, biotechnology, transportation. We have access to a plethora of information at our fingertips.

It's a video about home innovation since 1910, would you use electric cars in your home?
50's - kettle, 80's - computer, 90's - phone. They're my faves
Anyone feel like they were playing the sims once 1940-1950s came on? It's the music!
Yes!! And the doorbell effect!
The man was the best home innovation

my favourite innovation is the man helping in 2016... i was worried the video was going to be maschilist until the end
Ahh, some product placement. I would've thought that the smartphone would've been the big innovation.
I would of put a smart home thing like Alexa or Google home and her controlling the lights. However, you did comment this 2 years ago and they weren't as prevalent then so nvm :/
My favorite innovation was 1970s blender. I love that!
I love the 50s
oh man i love this channel
Wait, is the 2010s “innovation” a guy doing housework or the Dyson?
I think the guy 🤣
They could've of placed a smarthome thing like an Alexa or Google home and her controlling the lights
