Actually, if you look closely into fashion, most decades also recycled trends. In the 70's a lot of dresses looked like the ones in the 30's/40's and in the 80's also a lot of the stuff was inspired from the 50's. Not as much as today, but still. The new stuff is mostly materials.

nylon stockings are wonderful. they are nothing like modern hosiery. zippers were on the sides of dresses until the 50s, then they started putting them in the back.
Please do 100 Years Of Cameras next!! I somewhat know how a 1930's camera looks like due to using them in a photography class for school, but I would love to see the others as well!
