those old 1910s,20s hats..love those..wish we could wear them today
Aalya Ashraf I wear an old Fedora I bought at a junk store all the time in the fall/winter.It's my work hat.When I feel like it I can choose between a 6inch brim cowboy hat a black flat crown Stetson or a brown derby! Not to mention a couple dozen different seed company gimme ball caps!Friggin love hats! Oh yeah am making a molded leather Viking Helmut complete with buffalo !horns
If you ever read this, you can wear those hats today! There's a ton of like-minded men and women that love old fashioned or vintage wear like myself and wear it all the time in efforts to "bring it back". But even if you don't have that goal, just thrift a coat and attire that was used in those times and get your hat! Just make sure your attire matches your desired era so you don't look like you're wearing a costume. Nobody can tell you how to dress, if you're not hurting yourself or anyone else wear what you want to wear.

Greetings to all, and thank you for the responses,
First off, both of Moraea's (the female model, pronounced Mo-Ray-Ah) eyebrows were done each time eras were changed, so the lighting must have affected one brow visually to look like it wasn't filled in; trust me it was! I brought many hats for Jake Miller (male model) to wear but we settled on hats that coordinated well with each other so the two looked like a couple. We had multiple looks for each era and went with some things you might not have seen before. I agree with the suggestion of the bucket hat, Von Dutch, but we ultimately had to chose only one. With the 1980's look men didn't wear a lot of hats then, so we played with Jake's hair with visions of Billy Idol, A Flock of Seagulls, and eventually threw in the "Boy" hat, which was sort of Culture Club, Wham, and A Frankie Goes to Hollywood homage all in one.
I'm happy to answer any questions people have?

Why does everyone get the 1900s and 1910s mixed up? It's both Edwardian but 1910s are more lax and basically a transition to the 1920s. So the Gibson Girl look as well as Art Nouveau belongs to the 1900s only. Basically the 1910s is 1900s' ugly sister, or that awkward growing out phase when you get a haircut (1900s) but then it grows out amazing (1920s).
I agree with you. It's also a huge pet peeve of mine. The 1900's and 1910's had very different fashions and different parts of those decades had different styles as well. The early 1910's had hobble skirts and peg top dresses. The late 1910's had the war crinoline. I personally really like 1910's fashion.
mastersnet18 Right?! And I hate how everyone credits Chanel and the 1920s for the hemline's rise above the ankles and the freedom from the corset when Paul Poiret made that happen in the 1910s. Poor 1910s, always overshadowed.

Even in books about the 20th century the first two decades are often lumped together or the 1900's will be talked about and the 1910's skipped altogether as if nothing important happened. And if I see someone put the Gibson girl for the 1910's one more time I will scream.
Her skin must hurt so much after putting makeup and taking it off so many times.
It can be a bit painful, but she is young and young skin is elastic.
