Like I said at the premier, this is an interesting choice of song since Larry's usually fairly upbeat. This doesn't harm the overall video, I should stress, as the animation more than makes up for it. I like how subdued the movements are compared to Bohemian Polka and Groovy Guy. I'm actually starting to think ya saw my comment about this being a string of Weird Al tribute concerts blessed by the Yankovich himself. Either way, another solid entry in this lineup! Actually, now that I think of it, one could argue this is kind of a story arc; sure, Traffic Jam shows the traffic in question, Jackson Park Express has him taking alternate transportation since the road's backed up, and these are the nightly gigs he and the rest of the boys have at the local Mr. Slushy!
To be perfectly clear, the story arc is my complete intention. I was just waiting to see how long it would take for people to notice and right now we are right on the half way mark of the story but yeah, all of that is correct.
@@GourdAnimations Also, I look forward to seeing how this plays out, and what songs you plan on using from Weird Al's vaults. I think Rocky Road and My Baby's in Love with Eddie Vedder would work, though these are merely suggestions.
@@GourdAnimations Oh, almost forgot, congratulations on both you and Weird Al for inventing the first ever polka torch song (basically a type of song that tears down an ex-lover, usually done in a jazz or rock format).
We join Larry and his band; The Polka Dots as they sing a particularly insulting yet incredibly depressing song to Larry's ex-girlfriend, Petunia Rhubarb. [After the song ends, Larry receives a call on his cellphone] "Hello? Wait, what do you mean that was your cousin?! Petunia wait-"
And now it's time for The Blues, but it's more of a Doo Wop / Polka hybrid songs with Larry. The part of the show where Larry comes out and sings The Blues, but it's more of a Doo Wop / Polka hybrid song.
Just incredible! I love the lighting, camera shots, and animation! Also, seeing Larry at his saddest is really interesting. Can't wait for more of these!!
Wait... You did the backing track?? I knew the recording wasn't the same as the one that's heard on Dare to Be Stupid, I would have passed it as some live version or whatever. Dude. I knew you were talented, but you still never cease to amaze me!
I'm starting to sense a story. In ''such a groovy guy'' Larry tries to impress Petunia, but gets rejected. He gets a little depressed, but when he finds out that she got a boyfriend, thats when he gets really sad. Can't wait to see the continuation! Edit: oh yeah, and this all started when Larry met Petunia on the bus and fell in love with her in “Jackson Park express”
Seeing two of my biggest comedy influences as a kid (and to this day) combined into one is such a magical feeling. Especially when the video itself isn’t necessarily comedic.
Been a long time man! Don’t know if you recognize me, used to comment on your stuff a lot. This ess recommended to me and I forgot about your stuff, it’s really good! Happy to see you’re only getting better!
@@GourdAnimations That is very cool! I do feel like its a common thing for VT animators around here to share and recycle each others' models, so its kind of a breath of fresh air to see animators be productive and creative relying on their own resources. Good on you sir!
Can you please do Breakdown,The polka cover VeggieTales did a long time ago please? You have most of the models, all you need is a Oscar the Polish Caterer model with a auto-mechanic costume, the foods he puts in the car engine, and a Hugo brand car, that’s pretty much it.
my few problems are Junior is dead, he not moving and his eyes are horrifing why the banjo, it dosen't fit with thes song. That's about it, I love this song tho

An incredibly depressing song.

This has been Incredibly Depressing Songs With Larry. Tune in next time to hear Larry say
Larry’s finally singing the blues
More so Doo wop/polka hybrid.

The Weird al VeggieTales community is probably the most niche community that I'm in. But it's definitely one of my favorites.
Bravo! What a wonderful animation of one of my longtime favorite Weird Al songs. Well done!
Looks like Larry finally got the hang of the blues
Larry seriously bouta gut himself over some girl with a personality of a doorknob
1:39 Larry just paid one heck of a Gas Bill
yup
Let's hope it was Puggslyville. Gas is cheaper there.
And the bridge is out.

Y'know...I think he doesn't want to spend anymore time with Petunia...
What makes you said that
You're extremely underrated and it's a crime.

were wondering who is this new character
& the sad thing is Petunia doesn’t even care
I thought I'd watched this one, but I guess not!
This was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Larry's pretty passionate, ngl
Looks awesome.

This honestly speaks volumes to me.
0:35 2:05 I love how you animated the background singers 😆
This is art
Larry wearing his hat and tie from Rack Shack and Benny is just perfect
Wow! This is very well done! Keep up the great content bro! 👍👍👍
This is soooooo good 😭
Four words: Right. On. The. Money.
Nice job!
Nice 👍

Whoever this al guy is, he’s pretty weird...
Uh yes, hence the name "Weird" Al?
Lol I got it
you're really good at animating!
I saw the fan-made music video for "Albuquerque" on RUclips. It was animated by Ryan Krzak (RWappin).
My life will be complete when the day comes when I see the Veggies sing a Blind Guardian song.
Oh Goody! Great Video!
Love This Video 👍👍👍
Just curious, do you make all your own models? Because they look right on the money
I do in fact make my own models.
I always try to make it a point to make everything from scratch myself.

😭👏 Bravo!
I see the mouth model is improved.
Cool
sad ending...
Can you make a video for the song from "Happy Days"?

Is It From Sago Mini Daycare?
Can you please do a weird Al parody song next, like eat it or fat.

Where is this accordion/tuba version from?
Do you use blender? If so, do you use cycles, or eevee?
Eevee all the way! I'd say that Cycles is good for more realistic renders but I'm not sure how much realism I wanna put in singing vegetables.
@@GourdAnimations True! XD
Besides, it's faster to just do Eevee.
Make an animation for Larry and petunia get back together
