In low light, the Actoion 5 Pro has less noise but more flicker and buzz. The noise can be compensated for, but the flicker and buzz cannot. I am looking forward to the Ace Pro2.

Hey, thanks for watching, I think it's just the DJI Mic 2 where you can add up to 2 of them to the action 5. I have a ton of the Gopro accessories and a lot of them also work with the Action too and you get a few different mount options with it

I’m seriously considering the Ace Pro but been waiting on this release to compare them. Do you think it’s as good as the Ace pro for low light?

Does the Action 5 Pro have the jitters in low light? DJI tends to have that problem. I know the Ace Pro doesn't. Curious to see some more rapid movement on the Action 5 Pro in low light.
If you look at the low light comparison between the Ace Pro and Action 5 from 4:25 onwards, the DJI still seems to have jitters. The ISO on the Ace Pro looks really cranked up.
Was looking for a 1" sensor that some other DJI products already have....oled screen on something this small? Who can tell the difference without a magnifying glass? DJI aren't squeezing any money out of me this time. I'll wait for the 6 and hope they put a 1" sensor in that or I'll be passing again.
Doesn’t seem much difference in the sensor from the 4 to 5 other than it says its ’next gen’ whatever that means, but its the same size. An improvement over the 3. Wondering whether it’s a better deal if you go for the 4 if you still have the 3 and not stretch to the 5 as it’s £71 cheaper.
Better but….insta360 ace pro blows this away in so many areas and insta software is worlds in front of GoPro and DJI. 8K, Pause start, Pure for night shooting,48Mp stills and 240fps for incredible slow motions, these are just a few areas that insta is still way out in front. Question, is it me or was some of your video rather jerky ? And insta are about to bring out the ace 2 pro which will move the goal posts forward again…. Your thoughts
5 pro looks less of fish eye and has 10 bit. Upto 4 hours battery is very helpful. By charging via battery case will help the lifestyle and causes less heat.
How can the 5 Pro have a lower recording bitrare compared to the 4? This is absurd. Users should be given the option of selecting a higher bitrate setting at the expense of lower battery life and higher heat output. DJI must add this to a firmware update. The bitrate is too low on the 5 Pro.
Just wait, next year they'll release the Osmo Action 5 Pro Plus Ultra Mega Edition with a slightly bigger battery and a new color, and all the reviewers will like "OMG This is the best action camera ever! DJI has really outdone themselves this time!" Don't get me wrong, this camera looks pretty good, but this whole cycle of releasing a new product every year with minor improvements gets a little tiring.

I agree. I had to rewind 5 times to review the short low life comparison. Ace pro stablization is better, which makes the image experience better. Still solid low light A5 but update the stabilization in firm update.

I think turning off stabilization and using a separate stabilizer like the hohem iSteady Pro 3 would improve it even more.

Do the new batteries on the Osmo Action 5 charge noticeably faster? Osmo Action 4 batteries were slow to charge compared to Osmo Pocket 3.

What about much lower bitrate in osmo 5 and much worse details in busy footage?

No it’s a different fit , you can get the action 4 filters on but you have to remove the rubber seal

Sure you have the same mic controls as the pocket 3 so you can control gain, noise reduction etc in the camera
Just tried mine today. Actually shocked at how bad the flaring from lights is. Kinda unusable.

The new sensor gives much better dynamic range which improves video quality a lot! Better battery life and low light is much better now
Minus a giant sensor, the only reason I would upgrade is OVERHEATING.
$200 says the oa5 can't record 90 minutes of 4k/60fps in sunlight.
Name one reason why you might need to record in that situation for that long and maybe I’ll do it 😂
