RIP GoPro. I started the shift moving from GoPro 11 to the Action 4. I consider getting this one and turning my Action 4 to be my secondary camera (in those scenarios where I use more than one action camera). Having this higher capacity battery kipping the same form factor (unlike the latest GoPro), is a brilliant move by DJI. As someone invested in the Action 4, adding the Action 5 to my gear (or switching to it) is an easy decision.

GoPro isn't at the top anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if the non-pro Insta Ace is better than the GoPro 13. the Ace Pro and even the older Action 4 are both better than the 13. also, try and view other reviews because it's not all that great with other youtubers who are not sponsored like David

10:44 older camera somehow looks way better, new one rocks a higher iso, yes, but the image is flat and oversharpened. is there a way to lower sharpening for low light? It looks like samsung phone from 10 years ago trying to suppress noise at all cost

How can the 5 Pro have a lower recording bitrare compared to the 4? This is absurd. Users should be given the option of selecting a higher bitrate setting at the expense of lower battery life and higher heat output. DJI must add this to a firmware update. The bitrate is too low on the 5 Pro.
I like that you mention that pretty much all indoors is really low light. The majority of my filming is indoors and I constantly argue with my brother that I am in low light for most of my filming. This camera looks like it has some nice features.
As someone who motovloggs only with a gopro, i can see myself getting the OA5 for night vlog recording due to gopro not doing well at night. & get the DJI mic2 for off the bike audio. I love gogpro hypersmooth, & i record in 1080pm 60fps alot anyways, but i should start recording in 4k, but imma Need a bigger sd card before i do that. Great video.
Obviously, this is a video camera first, BUT, also as a photographer, I'd love to see some tests on getting the best photos out of this thing since it sports more megapixels in photo mode! Great video!

Great video, just bought this based off it. Im a portrait photographer and not really into wide angle cams. I retuned the Pocket 3 because it was just awkward to use IMO. Couldn't really attach it to me. But this is super small and portable I can clip on to my shirt and would be great for BTS video. Looking forward to testing it

Most of the low light reviews I see are things like city streets at night but I film hunting videos. They can start 30 minutes before sunrise (yeah very dark) with no artificial light. And things are moving. I know it’s a niche but no one does any thing in this setting. Might apply to hikers, campers or other out enthusiasts. Hope you can squeeze it in. Currently using a Hero 11 Black.

The battery life, built in storage, and ability to use the DJI Mic2 sealed the deal for me. I like how the menus are similar to the Pocket 3 as well.

As a motovlogger, i like the quick capture thing, It helps a lot. And the battery, men 3 hours is overkill.
