There is so many great humanity in these words and this entire clip. Most of all I love the fact that we see humans with all their flaws, emotions and overcoming and channeling both to do and become better. So many people try to sell a perfect picture of who or what they are because somewhere down the line being a human wasn't good enough anymore... And then you see this... tears, admitted mistakes and reflecting on hard times... and none of this felt weak or like it should better have been hidden. I will watch this clip many more times.
This statement is exactly how I've been feeling these days too. Ever since I allowed myself to let go of the notion that being a left-wing, liberal feminist was the only morally acceptable world-view for a modern woman, it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I don't agree with every last thing that Jordan Peterson says, but I'm shocked by how much value I have found in his lectures...value which I would have never discovered as long as I clung to my identity as a hard-left liberal. The greatest gift and irony, since I learned to let go and become curious again? I've fallen in love...with a man who endorses Men's Rights, Red(ish) Pill social theories, and traditional family values. Someone who I would probably have hated on principle five years ago...is now someone whom I want to raise a family and grow old with. Life is such a strange and wonderful journey.
This man has been drained to within an inch of his life by the constant attacks for just trying to help people better themselves and he is still here. I think he needed this, I'm glad they got to speak.
What?! He is an idiotic junkie that put himself into a coma because he was too much of a child to stop eating animal products... It's sad to see people showing the Peterson's respect. They are nothing but con artists, everyone.
I love his humility. The way he allows himself to be genuinely emotional. We've all got our fragilities. This poor man has been misrepresented and yet he still chooses to stand up. A real hero.
He's slowly letting this all get to his head. He needs to work on his listening skills and let others finish their thoughts without interruption. I do agree with alot he says.
You are a hero a lot of people don't listen to what they'll say listen to what these ladies got to say the truth the truth you are a great man thank you for all what you do
Made me cry. These are tears of happiness, gratitude, and humility. He has, regrettably, been depicted in the most worst ways i.e. Nazi, chauvinist etc. Most of his opponents haven't watched any of his lectures. I genuinely admire and respect him because of something about him that is so sincere and honest. May God keep him safe and give him the courage to stand up for what he believes to be right. Amen
This just reinforces how the internet gave everyone a voice, but took everyone's listening capabilities away. Glad to see someone realizing that, escaping and making JP that happy.
As JP says himself its easier to just assume the other person is the enemy rather then give time, get out of your way to listen to what they have to say. It is easier to be ignorant then educated. Since knowing JP 2016 i have heard most of interview here and there and mostly his lactures. And my god if only i had a teacher like him in my collage.
The moment he feels vindicated, he breaks down and has to tell her how Marvel has wronged him. It’s like he walks around with the burden of having to explain to everyone he encounters that he’s not a Nazi supervillain. . It’s effing heartbreaking because he’s a Superhero to MILLIONS ❤️❤️❤️

When he started crying I felt really bad for him. We all see Jordan as this amazing person and pillar of salt for Earth. But we forget that he's only human at the end of the day and he himself has shown a couple times that all the hate he receives does effect him and does get to him. But he keeps on fighting for the betterment of us. People like you and me. I can't imagine how many times this man has completely broken down or cried while being held in his wife's arms because he's been so harassed and criminalized by so many people and then a few hours or days later goes up on stage and delivers as if he's unshakeable. This man is an absolute hero.
I thought two things. 1. I fucking love this guy, I haven’t seen someone care that much about helping another human being in actual YEARS. Maybe my life. That said, that thought actually made me rather sad. 2. It’s one thing to listen to his lectures, but seeing his vulnerable side really put things in a whole new light; seeing as though he can also be so strong. It made me feel as though I have even less of an excuse to be irresponsible in a weird way, because everyone suffers- even Mr. Peterson (if that makes sense). In that sense, only my father has had a similar effect on me when I young.
@@ddave9535 All of your ignorance and hatred will keep you miserable. Try actually listening instead of just smearing and lying. Don't be a child. Attempt to learn. You might be less of a bitter and angry person.
Africa seems like a lovely person. Realizing you are wrong about something and embracing that reality is very humbling and shows a lot of moral character. It’s a painful but life giving experience.
A lot more people need to open their minds to the opposite ideas and be a bit more understanding if more people do what Africa did they might realize that there's a lot less differences between us than we are led to believe and that most of us have a lot more in common than our preconceived notions allow us to see. Preconception is a powerful tool and it's fairly heavily used to create propaganda and division between people who would otherwise get along completely fine with one another. And I have friends from all walks of life I do not discriminate I sit down and I have heated debates and arguments on philosophy and religion and politics with some of my friends and is heated the arguments and debates may be we never turn on each other at the end of it we end up having a drink together and we still love each other as friends it changes very little when you actually listen and attempts to understand the other person you will see more about them and more about yourself at the same time
This man has single-handedly saved more people from darkness than he could ever imagine. His heart is bigger than the world and his mind is more brilliant than words could ever describe. Breaks my heart to see that there is still so much hatred for an individual who just wants people to achieve their dreams and be happy with themselves and their loved ones. We are lucky to have him.
Absolutely. Such an open and genuine soul. So open about his humanity. And he has done this for decades. While being married, while being a father, while being a therapist, while teaching at universities. That's incredible. What have his haters achieved? Nothing professionally. Nothing socially. Nothing on a social media level. They say you are judged based on your enemy. Perhaps in this networked day and age, this social media, infotainment day and age, perhaps you are judged on just how many enemies you have? Have we moved on from one enemy defines us? To how many of anonymous keyboard warriors hate us, to define us?
Isaiah 5:20 says “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” There are many people out there, putting light for darkness and calling what is good evil. That I know. I am a clinical psychology student and ever since I came across Jordan Peterson, I have been blessed with his knowledge and wise remarks and I don't see the negative influence some people tend to claim about him. It's all the opposite. I love that man.
Im reading The Idiot atm and im ~ at half and must say Jordan is just like "The Idiot" from the book. He can read people very well, is open minded and has a big heart but there are many people hating him.
Seeing this man tear up from one simple thank you shows how much he cares about his work and who he can help. He deserves no hate for what he does to make the world a better place.
He cares deeply about people too (He'd have to, being a clinical psychologist I guess). I had a fairly short but deep conversation with him not long before the Bill C-16 stuff. Nobody I've ever met outside of my family has made me feel like they genuinely cared like he did. It was as though he could feel exactly what I was going through. He won't ever know it, but he's a small part of why I'm still here, and I will forever hold gratitude for him caring in what, for most, would have been a throw-away moment.
Can't remember the last time I saw Jordan laugh and smile like that. Haven't seen his videos in a while but good to see him smiling and laughing again :')
Well I didn't expect myself to cry so much while seeing Dr. Peterson cry to the point I had to pause the video until I calmed down. And that's because he literally changed my life. I am a medicine student in Romania and lost my way big time... until I discovered Dr. Peterson whom I consider now as my second father at this point as I feel like he made me find a purpose in life and got me out of depression and stregthen myself. I'm so sorry that he had to go through so much but I am glad he is still with us and giving so much of his time trying to help people. Dr. Peterson is truly my hero and we are truly blessed to have him.
I feel the same way! I am so grateful for all Jordan Peterson has offered me, It’s beyond my words how I feel sorry to see him pass for all this shitty situation! I hope he stands still with.
I love hearing stories like this because I can relate to them.I’m a medical student too, and Jordan’s messages have really been helpful in the hard times. Im glad they helped you too. Noroc doctor :)

This young lady, Africa Brooke, is elevated as she has been enlightened. And Jordan is just reacting to it. That humility is contagious under the right conditions. We need it as an inoculation to the current political disarray. We all must participate in that humility, in the presence of dissent, to move onward and upward.
Part of it is that he can not only sympathize with a person but understand the drive behind actions of people and not simply take offence, but understand other peoples perspective through a neutral lens.
A guy that I was “seeing” loved Jordan Peterson and our relationship was a little weird because he was quite conservative and I was quite liberal so I just made assumptions and didn’t like Dr. Peterson for like 2 years. Even though I read his second book, I just kept making excuses and dismissing his points. It’s only lately that I’ve let myself truly listen and enjoy. I’m so grateful that I was able to get past the false idea I had built in my own head.
While J Peterson is right of center Mr P is not a stereotypical conservative. That is why it is so important to listen to him with an open mind and carefully consider what he says.
For someone to call Jordan Peterson “right of center” shows just how hard to the left the media is trying to drag us. Mr. Peterson is a classic liberal, which have been crucified by the left and vilified as much as the right. Even more so, since they are perceived as a larger threat than the conservatives.
Since I found this man, i kept asking myself how fantastic someone has to be in order to become such an important part of your life. Africa's explication was fantastic. Very honest and humble, no wonder it moved Jordan that much, it is exactly the change he wants to catalyze in the world, having people re-think their pre-conceived notions not only about other people but also themselves and their standing in the world.
Absolutely. And I think Africa’s example took her such bravery, honesty and kindness to admit. I think his recognition of that act is what makes him weep, along with the fact that, as you say, this kind of change is exactly what he hoped people would take from his lectures, and things went somewhat the other direction for far too many people due to the lies brung forth of those very tribalistic tendencies. @@edledoux2788 As an older person from a Christian-heritage country, I can tell you it used to be a lot more common. It is called meekness, which has been misinterpreted for decades. It doesn't mean "weakness". It means surrendering your strengths (eg intellectual strengths or position etc) for the sake of others, for the benefit of others, out of LOVE (desiring their good) for others. It's a trait of Jesus (as anyone who has read the Gospels knows) and also those who are born of the Spirit and have Him - by the Holy Spirit - indwelling (John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, 2 Corinthians 13:5 etc). It is so powerful and its effect so influential on society that even its seeds down the ages were/are seen in societies. I call it "the touch of His robe" or the "light of His countenance". In other words, even those NOT born of the Spirit and who wouldn't even have called themselves "Christian" were positively affected by this influence and imitated it, in the same way that we are influenced by the sun even when it's sooo far away. Christian influence is still there in the world even when true regenerate believers (the only kind: John 1:12-13) are fewer i.e "far away". Jordan Peterson would likely agree as he is being more and more influenced by Christ. Suffering is the only thing that humbles us and when we are made "less" by suffering (even temporarily), when we cry out to Him, He lifts us up. More Christ in people always makes them better. We were created by God but we're spiritual orphans tainted by the corrupt world and "the prince of this world" i.e Satan...until we are re-united/reconciled to God the Father through His Son (Romans 5:1). "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled. Whoever humbles himself will be exalted"
So true. I caught a couple videos of Jordan explaining/ analyzing some stories in the bible. I could listen to any historical/ religious text with his narration and thoughts.
Jordan misses some things in his path to find meaning in his biblical research, but not much. He is earnest in his search and that accounts for a lot in my opinion. The few times he misses the mark are many times more overshadowed by the general emphasis of delving deeper and finding meaning where very few have trod. His search is good for him and good for all who partake in the fruit of his search for the meaning embedded in scripture. This search raises all boats.
Are there videos that were removed? I looked on the channel just now, there is a biblical series playlist. Maybe there was more? I remember there being many many videos of university lectures, but I don't see so many now. Am I just misremembering the amount of material or did some of it actually disappear?

@@CamouflageMaster It may be exactly this aspect of him, having these levels of biases still, that make him more accessible to the people he's supposed to impact with his perspectives. In essence, everyone is biased. I see a lot of bias in Leo as well and question the accuracy of his insight, including on topics like JP or conspiracy theories and such. Yet he (Leo) is being of tremendous service to the collective and many of his sharings are profoundly valuable, advanced and on point. The same could be said of JP, although JP imo isn't as aware of deeper dynamics of consciousness in an experiential and intuitive sense as can be seen in many people who have had awakening experiences and are advanced meditators or perhaps made use of psychedelics to enable a lot of such insights like Leo seems to have done. JP is poking the collectives ego and delusions from a certain angle that is still relatable enough (for many) to understand and to contest with/process, for the point that the collective is currently at in its level of consciousness.

Seeing Jordan emotionally moved by her words is so incredibly heartwarming. A lot of the time, people are looking to consume content that reaffirms their pre-existing beliefs rather than content that could potentially teach them something, but if you walk in with an open mind and no preconceived expectations, it vastly widens the landscape of information that you could potentially garner. And the other thing is people's reluctance to admit being wrong. These types of people would rather protect their ego than experience intellectual growth.
This is exactly why Jordan is such a great person, being vindicated by someone that once wouldn't bother listening to him because she was told by another person that she shouldn't, and cracking up emotionally to hear her explain her change of heart, priceless.

The key to finding a reliable partner is not to hold out for someone who is submissive, but to be submissive to myself, and become the partner that i wish to have.
JP does the courageous thing that so many fear: RISK HONESTY. He has succeeded and suffered as a result of that.. physically and emotionally. To have a single voice confirm that he had reached them makes it worthwhile. I don't know where we would be if it were not for JP's courageous dissenting voice against the echo chamber of cowardice.
This is exactly why the left attacks him. Because he encourages individualism, which is the biggest affront to the establishment agenda of forcing collectivist ideals enforced by God - the government! My father died of brain cancer many years ago; I can barely remember him. But when I see and listen to Dr. Peterson, I think my father has sent me this angel to listen to, to withstand the harshness of life with a clear head and the fortitude necessary to prevail even if I fall.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. I had heard of JP and decided that I despised him. Was watching a documentary one day and suddenly JP pops up on the tv. I listened to the points he made in the documentary and thought “he’s not wrong”. Did some investigating because I assumed he must be “wrong” about loads of other stuff, but the more I investigated, the more I saw how he had been unfairly villainized. I’m so grateful to have given him a chance because a year later he has truly changed my life for the better and is now a hero of mine. I love you JP.
@@JordanBPeterson Thank YOU!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You have been a catalyst for so much healing for so many people, it’s just incredible! And you reached me at a place where I honestly don’t think anyone else could have. In case you’re wondering, the documentary was “The Creepy Line”
Mr Peterson, I just found you about a month ago. I have been in a battle with stage 3 cancer just over a year now. I thought I was a lost soul. Everything was taken away right from under me, in a matter of seconds, when I heard those words “you have cancer”. My identity was gone. I went into a deep traumatic depression for months. Since finding you, you have already made me a better person. A person who thinks more deeply, and in turn, allows myself to understand that I don’t know who I am, I never knew. And that’s okay. I keep listening to your podcasts (also Mikhaila’s ❤️). Especially when I fall into a deep depression. I can listen to you for hours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for being you ❤️
Dear Kara, I don't know you but when i read you had cancer my heart cried for you. Out of love for you and for everyone else who deals with pain in her or his life. I wanted to give you hope in times of darkness. Jesus said in Matthew 11 28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Also in John 11 23-27 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” John 4 9-14 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” 11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Jesus was showing the women if she start believing and have faith in Him she not only find but will have eternal life. That is why Jesus said in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. So from all these verse we see that Jesus Christ (Yeshua meaning salvation) is the one we should believe in and have faith in. Jesus is the one that gives people Eternal life even if life seems hopeless because off all the troubles in this fallen world. In Him (Jesus) we find hope, true love and rest for our souls and eternal life by faith.
Hi Kara, thx for sharing, too few times do people get to know how a fight against a disease is not just 1 dimensional and affects and causes so many other struggles and self perceptions. Where in fact it can create an over and under reaction to life everyone take for granted. Both beautiful and terrifying. I wish with my heart you will win your fight, because there are not enough understanding and special human beings as you. Love Ash
It just shows you he doesn't get the compliments he deserves...those 100 haters are louder than his millions of supporters, which says something about us really.
That's the thing. It was more than a simple compliment. It's who it came from, and Dr. Petersen's realization that he had such a profound effect on an influencial individual who wasn't "supposed" to agree with him. The potential is so huge! Just think what Ms. Brooke is capable of now--perhaps changing an entire culture!
Amazing. People constantly grow. Africa Brooke is thinking and growing and so are Jordan and Mikhaila. We're always growing and our ideas grow with us. Such a great video.
That’s nice, but there’s something annoying about ppl who’ve opposed all of this getting podcasts and spots on tv. I think an apology is in order em mass.
So amazing. Because of Jordan Peterson I was finally able, at the ago of 70, to admit my many failures and begin to relax and enjoy a humble life. It was so profound that I wrote a book about it and it freed me. Thank you Jordan, and I call you that not out of disrespect but because I call my friends by their first name and you, Sir, are the best friend I’ve ever had whom I will never be able to meet. God bless you and your family.
Good on Africa for being open enough to change her opinion of Jordan. But it is the human condition to accept what someone tells you about someone else. I'm glad these three people could speak so frankly with each other.
I’ve noticed that when people go into conversations with little to no ego, that’s when truly amazing conversation happen. Jordan Peterson absolutely believes in his convictions but he does it with evidence and no ego. That is what makes a man truly great! Thank you.

He needs to hear how much he has truly done for women like me. Women of colour, first gen immigrant, working class. He changed my life. I owe him so much, so the least I can do is support him loudly.
After 10 years of begging doctors for answers, this year I was diagnosed with endometriosis. It changed everything in my life at the time of surgery. I'm a PhD student and have just felt so lost in my studies. You gave me the confidence to find a true mentor, and really showed me that the world truly does lose out when I am not taking care of myself when I have chronic pain. Your words have been the only thing keeping me sane and moving forward, and I can't help but thank you
I’m in a PhD program (my second year) and in august had to have surgery to remove an endometrioma! It has changed my life significantly, and I have lost s lot of motivation and drive throughout this semester. Hang in there, and I hope things start looking up for you. Chronic pain is a beast to deal with daily, but can be managed appropriately- I have changed my diet, incorporated meditation and stress reduction techniques. Easier said than done but stress increases inflammatory responses in the body which significantly exacerbated pain, especially endometriosis with it being an inflammatory condition. Sending you positive vibes ❤
@Kalda Forn It's not about "winning people over". It's about maintaining an open channel for discourse to avoid people from getting sucked into mutually exclusive echo chambers. We can never be "over that". This is exactly how society becomes polarized, for the detriment of almost everyone. And to conclude, always remember: Twitter is cancer! Have a nice day
It's also Carl Rogers style therapy, part of it is that deep down, we know the answers to our own questions about ourselves, either consciously, subconsciously, or unconsciously. It's not the therapist's job to give straight answers/advice, but to point people towards the path where they can realize the answers themselves. "As no one else can know how we perceive, we are the best experts on ourselves."-C.R.
I don't think Peterson would agree with an absurd contrast like "anyone". That's as reductive as "everything is racist" - the point is that there is no champion, no single entity from which we can access information and so become imminently agreeable. We must first, have a conversation.
I didn't realize the Marvel thing had affected him that much. I guess it's easy to picture influential people like they're immune to insults. It makes you realize that we're all just human, and this trend of going around slandering people isn't something you can always be strong enough to roll your eyes at.
Yeah I was surprised to but I guess when you think about it, he really is trying to help people on real person levels and empower them, which is why he speaks so strongly against any kind of dictatorship, and so to be portrayed that way hits him where he bleeds
imo one of the biggest problems with the Marvel incident is that i know not everyone is going to handle it as well as Jordan Peterson will. he's got a background that keeps him from falling into the self-fulfilling prophesy that could potentially come from being categorized under the red skull "archetype." the same can't necessarily be said for the sizeable group of young, white, conservative men who only have a cursory understanding of his work and know that they agree. if ta nahesi coates were trying to create an actual violent fascist movement in the west, this is how he'd effectively go about doing it. if they don't stop painting people the way they do, they risk having the prevailing thought on the young right become "well, maybe I am red skull - and that's OK"
that marvel thing made him look in a way that he detests and does not want to be... the possibility that people see him like a new hitler or sth of that sort must have been realy bad on him
I am so happy to have known you Peterson. Am no longer the same person I learnt 4 programming language even though I studied something different and now am taking a masters. Thank you
Excellent, Victor! Way to go! I, too, have been inspired by Dr. Peterson to challenge myself. I’m now writing my first novel, while working a demanding full-time job. I’m nowhere near as driven as he is, but I’m doing something I thought I might never do. More than halfway complete now.
This interaction was so pure. Africa’s encounter and communication with Jordan, Jordan’s reactions to her is just so authentic! There’s a sense of peace and clarity that comes from this interview
I love Jordan Peterson. Seeing him break down when she paid him such deep respects. It's easy to forget how much unfounded hate this man got and how much a simple compliment, a simple gesture of respect can mean to someone.
Colleen McCollough's book "A Creed for the Third Millenium" is about an ordinary man who was thrust into a new messiah role despite his own shortcomings. Harrowing stuff. I wonder if that thought ever crosses JP's mind?
JP is intelligence, he is courage, he is honesty and clarity. As a (half) black man I always saw him as a voice for rational MEN and an encouragement to speak my mind and also dive deep in research and look for the facts and truth. Love live Jordan. (yes, I teared up to, BTW)

Why do you think a major corporate influence would agree with popular rhetoric, and label him a Nazi propagandist/sympathizer/apologist (choose your own degree of complicity)
Jordan Peterson changed me more than I can explain. Was a worthless drunk spinning into a spiral of my own self loathing. Stand up straight, try and put your world in order. Man to see this guy cry breaks me up. Love you Dr. P. A true legend.
Abraham is right; you were/are not worthless. You fell in a trap of addiction that you managed to escape from. You should be proud of yourself for that if nothing else.
I have the same experience, i found him after i got sober, and I was just so wulnereble, no identity what so ever... He spoked directly to my hart... After 3 years i have a identity now... I am 50 years old and finaly i am me.. Took me 45 years to learn to live whit the sexual abuse.. Now i can.. And dr peterson have a big part in that 😊
I am probably what some would call a lefty. I heard something of his and turned my head. Every now and then clips of his popped up on youthbe etc. I now listen to everything he has to say. I agree with almost everything. I forward the clips through to friends and tell them to listen to his views. Enlightening. Hard to argue.
You’re an honest person. Too many on the left have written him off without hearing him out. He’s not perfect but he’s trying really hard to be true and honest. I think he has integrity that no politician can hold a candle to. He’s an act to follow.
Somewhat of a conservative guy here living in Texas. Even some of us on team red can get our heads up our own ass. I always tell my friends that most of us everyday people have more similar views than we would like to think.
I'm quite a simple 50 year old irish man, I cry when jordan peterson cries, it most possibly my religious underpinning that I love this man and listen to his words, hear his heart and feel his pain. Maybe just Maybe jordan senses as I sense that there may just be a God. Thank you for helping this lonely hard working man to look in the mirror and smile at the person before him. God bless you JP
Noel, I'm about as old (ok, older) and have commented only one handful of times ever. Your words really moved me. You got me to cry. Maybe we are realizing the same thing for the Same Reasons. Its something to feel actual connection across a distance that so many seem to want to increase. Thank You too, as well as Jordan for helping me realize this closeness we all WANT and fear to experience. Bless You.
Oh, my heart ❤ I've seen many interviews where people have tried beating this man down without really listening to him. To finally get a chance to hear someone say he encouraged them to be "curious again" must've been such a relief and moment of gratitude. I'm happy he got that. He deserves it!
Yeah he got so much hate, im happy he has this beautiful conversation on record .. Now when people we'll hate on him he will have that anchor and find the strength to continue his fight. Really happy for the man, he seems honestly like a genuine and good person. His tears means so much, he wasnt "ha I got you, see you were wrong from the beginning". Great man ❤
I remember in a speech he included an anecdote that when he and his wife was walking around after having lunch idk if it was in san francisco or california they were stopped by a young man which thanked jordan with all his heart on giving him advice which lead to him having a better relationship with his father and becoming a better man in the process.
Wisdom is rare in the day and age but Jordan Peterson helps to put it out there despite the hardships it’s caused him. Indeed, he’s a hero in my book! ♥️

@@winstonsmith9533 😂😂😂 hey I know it sounded silly mentioning my country, but I wanted him to know how far he is reaching. And people from far far away are praying for him.🥰
As a 73 year old Englishman, I have been recently listening to Jordan Peterson's videos more, and find myself amazed at his ability to convey so clearly the truth of things today. This is also not the first time I have seen him cry in an interview. The world needs so many more Jordan Peterson's, who speak from such a depth, that we cannot avoid listening with our hearts and our souls. You are a true inspiration, and perhaps if we all listen to you, there will only be the need for just yourself . . . . !
She identifies so clearly one of our problems, we are told by someone we trust that someone else is bad. From high school to death we trust those we trust, and start to adopt the thoughts of the majority around us. I do it every day at 70, and still try to fight it. Great conversation.
With that being Said, Hitler is a man we have never given thought of understanding or viewing as anything other than an Evil human being, I have watched a few documentaries and I now realise how wrong I was to judge him that way, as are all of you. Please watch ‘The Greatest Story Never Told’ & ‘The Last Battle of Europa’ be curious again, there’s a reason they wanted us to hate him, trust me.
I love how touched he was when she told him how much he'd done for her life and she thanked him. He often gets moved to tears when he learns that he's made a positive difference in someone's life. This man is genuine and compassionate and real.
You can tell how genuinely touched he was. Some people can turn the water works on and off like a faucet but, when your face becomes flush, your eyes get red and you start to sweat, it's almost like you're embarrassed that you've shown how vulnerable you really are. He genuinely cares that he has made a difference in someone else's life.
and i believe that’s why he does and that’s why he does have a lot of love from the people that actually listen to him rather than those basing their opinions on others. no matter how much hate he gets from everyone, as long as he knows he was able to touch one person, one soul, then in the end it was all worth it.
This man’s words are the very reason why I’ve sobered up, he’s the reason why I stopped being weak and giving up on myself, hearing all the wisdom and motivation he gives out relentlessly is the reason why of woken up and started to see things in a better light. The amount of power his knowledge has is incredible. We need more men like this to help the rest of us strive and keep pushing forward. Thankfully we have Jordan Peterson. This man’s words single-handedly helped me get back to chasing my career and allowed me not to live a life in the light of fear anymore. If it weren’t for Jordan Peterson I’d still be pushing myself into a pit too deep to climb out of. This man’s an idol and he truly deserves the world. I’m getting my job back soon, the most stable job I’ve had before I started giving my life to the substances. I thank god for Jordan Peterson.
Hello Jordan, a few years ago my wife left me due to addictions. On my lowest point I started listening to your lectures. Got my shit together and got her back and we now have to baby indetical twins and a happy family. Thanks doc.
Dude, Mr. Peterson, I can't have you crying. When you cry, I cry, and I'm a big guy. It looks weird when I cry! Also, that Hydra thing was insane. You guys took it great. I'm a proud owner of a "Hail Lobster" poster! It's a perfect reminder of how perverse the world has gotten and why we need to push against it. God be with you, and I thank Him for putting you and your daughter on this planet. So long as the light shines, there will be hope. God bless!
I often find myself saying I'd have loved to have met Nietzsche and heard him speak, to have known what he was like as a person. And here we are, living in the same time as Jordan Peterson, knowing how he speaks and what he is like, and how easy it can be to forget how human we all are despite some of us being so much more besides. Thank you Dr Peterson for doing what you do.
After watching many clips of Dr Peterson, I am left with one major takeaway; he cares deeply about people. The reaction to Africa’s testimony of transformation witnesses to his deep concern for humanity. I admire this man deeply.
to me, jordan is the personification of "if you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss stares back at you" he's enduring so much, I have nothing but respect
He cries quite often, but to my memory it's pretty much only when he's beng told or is talking about being told of the positive impact he's had on someone's life. He gets a lot of shit for what is just honesty as far as he can tell, and seems to take it very much to heart when someone appreciates this and is helped by it. Even more so when the person used to be afflicted by the intellectual dead-ends of the woke left, and eventually opened their heart and mind thanks to him. Great video and a touching moment.
the fact that he cries is evidence of a sensitive human being, and to be emotional "often" tells you how much the left attack him relentessly. Nothing offends more than the truth
I listened to this podcast on Spotify while working. I had to pull over when he cried and ended up crying myself. I can't imagine being publicly beaten down the way that he was. That everyday this is happening to good people who are the ones who actually care about the future of humanity. I hate that this happens and even though it's not something I can relate to to the same degree, I empathize with those ones fighting against such a toxic system. I have faith it will get better. ❤
we have tendency to hate truth that might change our mindset when we are in seld destructive mode jordan was telling alot of people old truths in the new secular society and this world in general hates truth, part of our sinful nature to hate purity
I can relate.!When you step in to offer from your whole being. In the process avoid a possible Tragedy…… Only to get smeared in an ugly Situation. And your inward spirit Hears…. DO NOT defend yourself. I will cause your Righteousness to SHINE FORTH AS THE NOON DAY.
Just found this man a week ago. I was always just taking the position of “whatever makes people happy, go with the flow, mind my own business.” But this man has really made me rethink my values, my stance in life. You are making so much sense, even just for a single mom with no high education, you have opened my eyes about the things that the media are portraying on matters such as the gender pay gap, marriage, men etc. Thank you, for enabling me to broaden my way of thinking, and therefor setting new lifegoals and standards for not just me but also my son later in life. Thank you.
I LOVE that these young women knew enough to just be with his crying and make no attempts to make him stop. Most people don't actually know what to do when a person is moved to tears by their own greatness. Thank you ladies, and God bless Jordan Peterson
"Most people don't actually know what to do when a person is moved to tears by their own greatness." I'm not sure it was his own greatness that moved him... to me, it was because this courageous woman dared to question her own beliefs and was brave enough to acknowledge - first to herself, and then to us - that she was wrong and needed to change what she believed. And seeing that self-awareness, self-adjustment, and self-improvement in someone else that his work contributed to is what meant so much to Dr. Peterson.
@@larrycopeland2413 so beautifully put...love JP and now this wonderful courageous young-lady named after my continent of birth..she taught me today what to do when someone is moved to tears. Dont hurry them out. Saying nothing the right way is just priceless. JP always says go into any conversation willing to learn something and here is just such a truth🙋🏾♀️
oh my heart just broke seeing Dr.Peterson tearing up. He's such a titan of thought and heart, and all those unjust things happening towards him, are so unfair and ridiculous! And the kind words of Africa, they had to be told aloud. I'm sure Dr, Peterson still has hope these eye-opening moments are happening all around his "rivals", but it had to be told directly to his face, and with those humble honest words. Thank you for sharing this moment with us. Lots of love from Ukraine.
I like your name because of that beautiful Russian folk song. Alyonuschka, Al-yooo-nusch-ka... the version I hear in my head is sung by one of those classic Russian bard singer guys.
That's the thing - we often in our day-to-day lives forget about saying the things that are obvious to us, because we think it's obvious to everyone. E.g. we usually support our significant others, but we don't always remember to verbalise that. "I understand you, you are right" - these are such simple words but mean so much to a person that on one hand *has* to believe they're doing the right thing, they're not a bad person for doing it, but on the other hand there's literally no outside evidence of that other than their own conviction. I guess you could say the same thing about evil people, but that's where you would see the difference in reaction, I suppose. He doesn't relish the news, he doesn't say "aha, see? I'm right!" His tears just show how much he appreciates that. It's not just satisfying to him, that she saw him for what he is. It's deeply comforting, reassuring, that yes, even though most of the mainstream corporation-driven world thinks you're a nazi supervillain you are actually not, you're VALUABLE and that's a fact regardless of how many people think otherwise. Stay well and live long Jordan Peterson. You are one of the contemporary greats.
This man will go down in history as the most intelligent and honest person the world has seen in this century. As a 37 year old man with a wife and children I can honestly say you have improved the lives of my entire family and sphere of existence without even knowing who I am. And I am forever grateful for that. Thank you.
Not trying to take anything away from Peterson, but "the most intelligent and honest person the world has seen in this century" is quite a high pedestal to place somebody on. I would venture a guess even Peterson himself wouldn't want you to think of him as such.
Wow, its like you completely miss all of his core teachings. You should never idolize someone to this degree; JP has said this before. Having a family makes this extra gross.
Beautiful I am crying and honored that I discovered this incredibly learned man on RUclips before his wife and then he became so seriously ill! His brilliance and his deep compassion! His candor! He gave me an update on my college education for free!!!!! Surround him in love and gratitude!
Watching Dr. Peterson cry is like seeing your father cry for the first time.... So blessed to learn from this man. I have no idea who Afirca Brooke is, but she seems like a wonderful young lady and so beautiful. God bless all of these individuals.
Dude. My uncle died about fifteen years ago from an incurable and rare disease (amyloidosis). I was fine until I saw my dad bawling. I don't think anything has ever shaken my world or affected me nearly as much as that event. Powerful. Not downplaying your comment (it sounds that way), just reminiscing on what a moment that was.
Sir Jordan, you don’t know me but you have been very influential in my life especially for the past 2 years. I am a believer in Christ, and my walk with Christ - God used you and your lectures to point me to the person of Christ. I have many things to say sir but believe the statement you have made. - “Fix your bed before you go reorganizing the world” has helped me and humbled me more than you can ever imagine. What the Bible says in Luke 16:10 - to be faithful in the small things so I could be faithful in the big things Changed my life. You are saving generations, sir Jordan. God speed, sir
yeah i find it very strange that Peterson acts a lot more Christ-like than most believers i'd say, yet he doesnt even have the Holy Spirit in him. that just speaks volumes to how phenomenal a Christian he could be. i know Gods working in him and i hope that he will except Christ
What an outstandingly poignant moment. The meeting place between Jordan’s readiness to hold space for Africa to share the story of her bias, Africa’s readiness to be so honest about where she was coming from and then Jordan’s humbleness to let himself be so moved by it. It was a microcosm of resolution that reflected a painful experience Jordan’s had with many many people. That was very touching. Really glad I watched it.
Real men cry. Not so much when we're hurt, but when we are overcome with joy or pride or seeing acts of heroism. It takes an exceptionally strong man to display that level of emotion, especially publicly.
Definitely agree with this, I'll never cry when the chips are down but show me an act of heroism or compassion in reality or fiction and I'm balling like a little baby.
The simple fact that Jordans reactions are that of emotional response when he understands he's helped lifted blinders off someone is a real indicator of his desired purpose. He wishes to help bring people to a point of understanding from an objective view not from a subjective or emotional view. This man is definitely a great thinker of our time, and it upsets me he's painted with such a dismiss brush due to the over politicization of individual thought.
What a great personality he is. A true man with ideals, not many of them left. You are Superhero to many of us Jordan, a man which many look upon to. Keep up the great work! :)
I just watched his discussion on a Bill Maher panel from four years ago and was struck to near tears at Peterson’s humanity. He was asking the panel what, if after they were successful in ousting Trump, did they plan to do for the people who followed him…what plans were there for reaching out and making them feel that they were part of the fold of American citizens. They were, of course, preoccupied with their own agendas, but it’s the first time I’d seen someone think of unpopular conservatives in a generous light. I have to thank Olivia Wilde and her crass comments. I’d actually never heard of Peterson before she attacked him but took her condemnation as a ringing endorsement to see him in action. So glad I did and have just placed an order for his 12 Steps book.
This woman is an ACTUAL liberal (lower case L, dictionary definition). She is open minded and willing to listen and think. This is what we should all admire to be.
Jordan teaches men to be vulnerable and strong at the same time in order to be the best person they can be for themselves, their family and community…. And I have to say I’ve cried many a times since read his books and watched his lectures. Changed my life..
Omg both of these ladies are absolutely gorgeous! And I love Mr. Peterson he has a part in saving my life 😢 I have a roadmap for my life and he walks with me on my journey daily. I survived Covid and homelessness hearing his voice screaming over my self sabotaging and self hating voice. He told me to look at my 3 young boys and do it for them. He corrected my flawed perception and that saved my life!
"I allowed myself to be curious again."
Such a beautiful & wise statement.
Only the strong allow themselves to be curious. Because you can find out. That you could be wrong.

I could listen to any historical/ religious text with his narration and thoughts.
did they get rid of them or something?

If there was a line of people who want to thank this man for changing their lives, he’d never stop crying.
I’m gonna show my kids his speaches.
Beautifully said.
very true
I actually cried a bit hearing how that fricking comic book affected him..... Shame on that guy who drew that and whoever else worked on that.
This is exactly why Jordan is such a great person, being vindicated by someone that once wouldn't bother listening to him because she was told by another person that she shouldn't, and cracking up emotionally to hear her explain her change of heart, priceless.

I am a former Incel. Thanks to advice by Mr Peterson, i have learned that the internalized anger and bitterness i have felt, were all a construct of my own making. I created my own hell. I want to apologize. I know i haven’t hurt you directly, but perhaps indirectly by supporting a negative doctrine of spite and resentment.
In the form of force to instil cowardice and conformity upon the people.
Him crying means he bares a ton of pain by those who falsely view him as a tyrant, when in reality he loves them all so much!
Jp is a nice man with morals and empathy in a world full of lies and half truths
Sadly, Dr Peterson doesn't often get round to admitting his own mistakes. I mean, he CAN do it, and, on a very rare occasion, does. But a lot of his frankly bullshit statements, like the one about ancient knowledge of DNA (because snakes!) or the actual experience of god under "magic mushrooms", are still hanging awkwardly in the air. Why not come forward and admit to being wrong?
@@TinyShaman why can’t he believe that the snakes motifs in history has had an impact on human development and that amanita mascara mushrooms 🍄 can cause a meeting of a “god” like experience. I think your hung up on the wrong things here. If you boil down what he’s saying to a few sentences he’s ultimately saying that we’re headed for a culture war between modernity and post modernity. Essentially Individualism vs Collectivism and what he sees as the problem when those two types of people meet in opposition. You get excessive fascism on the right and communism on the left.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for being you ❤️
Dear Kara,
I don't know you but when i read you had cancer my heart cried for you.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Also in John 11 23-27 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
John 4 9-14 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Jesus was showing the women if she start believing and have faith in Him she not only find but will have eternal life.

@@bva0 Thats what he was saying guy.
It was brutal. The people that created it probably haven't really listened to him either. We will await their redemptive podcast coming soon lol.
that marvel thing made him look in a way that he detests and does not want to be... the possibility that people see him like a new hitler or sth of that sort must have been realy bad on him
There is always a tipping point. Especially if you try to be honest in a malevolent world.

God bless!
You can be a big guy and still cry, and that's fine. And everybody looks weird when they cry, and that's still fine. :)
you cry when you need to brotha! no shame in dealin with pain!
Dr. Peterson*
Amen, DJ.
❤️
Great point, thanks for sharing =)
After watching many clips of Dr Peterson, I am left with one major takeaway; he cares deeply about people. The reaction to Africa’s testimony of transformation witnesses to his deep concern for humanity. I admire this man deeply.
to me, jordan is the personification of "if you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss stares back at you"
he's enduring so much, I have nothing but respect
Didn't happen that often until the debacle with his health. It's definitely not a bad thing though, it makes him easier to identify with.
And I just teared up ägain just reading your comment... Thank you ❤️
we have tendency to hate truth that might change our mindset when we are in seld destructive mode
jordan was telling alot of people old truths in the new secular society and this world in general hates truth, part of our sinful nature to hate purity
I can relate.!When you step in to offer from your whole being.
In the process avoid a possible
Tragedy……
Only to get smeared in an ugly
Situation.And your inward spirit
Hears…. DO NOT defend yourself.
I will cause your Righteousness to SHINE FORTH AS THE NOON

Just found this man a week ago. I was always just taking the position of “whatever makes people happy, go with the flow, mind my own business.”
But this man has really made me rethink my values, my stance in life. Thank you.
my mom was a single mom as well. Much respect for you and remember you mean the world to your kids!
I LOVE that these young women knew enough to just be with his crying and make no attempts to make him stop. Most people don't actually know what to do when a person is moved to tears by their own greatness. Thank you ladies, and God bless Jordan Peterson
@The mischievous Gentleman.. u are so right. To allow for the other to feel and express is divine. Am remembering this
"Most people don't actually know what to do when a person is moved to tears by their own greatness."
I'm not sure it was his own greatness that moved him... to me, it was because this courageous woman dared to question her own beliefs and was brave enough to acknowledge - first to herself, and then to us - that she was wrong and needed to change what she believed.
@@larrycopeland2413 yep
One is his daughter so you'd hope she'd be able to hold his emotion 💛
oh my heart just broke seeing Dr.Peterson tearing up.
There’s a lot of giant’s shoulders on which he stands, so I wouldn’t go that far. But he is rather excellent
Wow, its like you completely miss all of his core teachings. You should never idolize someone to this degree; JP has said this before. Having a family makes this extra gross.
@@tupd Dude there's no need to be this aggressive. Chill

What the Bible says in Luke 16:10 - to be faithful in the small things so I could be faithful in the big things
Changed my life. You are saving generations, sir Jordan. God speed, sir
Amen brother.
I disagree with you however I completely respect your view point and I say amen.
yeah i find it very strange that Peterson acts a lot more Christ-like than most believers i'd say, yet he doesnt even have the Holy Spirit in him. that just speaks volumes to how phenomenal a Christian he could be. i know Gods working in him and i hope that he will except Christ
JBP really is such a beautiful human, brilliant mind, huge heart, and physically involved in living well
true, he is all those things as an actor. all the world is a flat earth stage and he is just playing his character.
Wow haha, I just wrote a comment using the word “beautiful” to describe him as well. He truly is such a precious soul.
@@yenanon6065 Nothing in your comment made sense to me, maybe i'm an idiot or you're just trolling
He also has loads of practical advice on the importance of reading, writing, and learning.
Very courageous to admit the distortions of perception and very refreshing to see a change of mind.
This woman is an ACTUAL liberal (lower case L, dictionary definition).
She is open minded and willing to listen and think.
This is what we should all admire to be.
