This affirms my experience - walking off trail, on uneven ground, and with some elevation variation made my hip feel so much better than when I walked on the road or a smooth trail. I guessed that it was because my hip had to move in different ways while the road or city walking was repetitive on my forward moving joints.
May you all get a chance to try forest walks on uneven trails to see if it feels good for you, too.
Thank you, Alyssa, for your helpful videos. This 65 year old truly appreciates them. ❤

This video is so encouraging to me and I began the new movements during the video which seemed to give a tiny bit of relief already. I am so excited about these extra sideways and backwards movements because it all makes sense to do the full rotation of the joints. I have been walking for years and am finding it's not making me feel as comfortable as it used to, so now I am going to really concentrate on what you showed to me and I think I will see a new me. Thank you so very much.

I can readily identify with these movements and what Dr Kuhn shares is so true although I feel quite a lot of discomfort afterwards, but it seems to ease away. I have hip arthritis and will eventually need a THR, in the meantime, I got a hip injection which gave me relief for nearly 4 months, then started wearing off over a month, now I’m awaiting another injection, I do go for walks, if I walk for too long I notice pain returning more and I am limping, I have also bought a rebounder which now I’m concerned I might be exacerbating my hip pain, I just do health bounce for a minute then walking movement for 2 minutes and then stomping, I hope I don’t have to give it up as I bought a high quality bungee sprung rebounder and it cost a lot!

Thank you sooo much for this! I used to walk 5 to 8 miles a day, 6days a week and my back got so sore that I had to stop walking. I’m 77 years young and I did all kinds of exercises to help my back but the problem remained. It got to the, point where I could only stand or walk for 15 minutes before I had to sit down or pass out! I’ve had a lot of PT and they were wonderful but I never found out why my back was so bad. I had a Lumbar radio frequency ablation on three places. My nerves were blocking this spinal column and I was told I needed surgery but I don’t want it.
So this exercise is going to strengthen my spine and if I do that and the other exercise I have - maybe I won’t need any more ablations! They work very well but I’m on the 101 year old plan. If I plan on being around that long I feel I have to keep my body working without getting it cut open all of the time! Thank you so much! I will keep watching!!! (And I’ll tell my friends too!)

There is a bit of an echo, Peter. Try using the Closed Caption option offered upper right in screen.

Interesting information. Thanks SO SO MUCH ! WISH MY GENERAL DOCTORS 33 YEARS AGO would have taught his patients to overcome hip arthritis for his Cosmetologists females. Standing long hours cutting hair all day long & manicurist SITTING ALL DAY LONG LONG HOURS sitting & hunched over painting fingernails. Cause painful arthritis in whole body. Due to lack of breaks to do some prevention exercises. ( Time is money) causes NEGLECT to harm our bodies. Votec Trade education & employment causing ARTHRITIS INFLAMMATION degrading
Human physical bodies. Harmful substances Chemicals & STANDING long hours. Breathing bad air. The price women pay to LOOK BEAUTIFUL 😮. OSTEOARTHRITIS DISCOMFORT & DISEASE Results. 😮😢 EXERCISES, EXERCISES, EXERCISES WERE & NOW & ALAWAYS NEED PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE & ATTENTION. WAITRESSES ALSO. ETC. NEED GUIDANCE.

We are constantly trying to improve the audio. Since this is an older video- the audio isn’t as clear as the more recent videos.
