Best Rupee Farming Methods in Zelda BotW | Part 2

- Breath of the Wild rupee farming is very useful. After a certain point in Botw, you don't need that much rupees, but sometimes it's great to have 999,999 rupees. How to get rupees in BotW can be done in many ways. In the first video, we learned different types of farming methods and compared them to one another.

There were questions in that video and also suggestions for newer methods. This video will go over those questions and comments, and we will then learn how the other methods compare.

In summary, some methods are faster than others, but some are more useful that others. Also, you can do multiple ones at once! While some things are facts, some are also opinion. For the talus farming method keep in mind that the iron sledgehammer does x4 damage to taluses while "goron weapons" (cobble crusher, stone smasher, and the boulder breaker) do double damage.
middle of another playthrough and haven't done my talus grind yet, will keep this in mind
The iron sledgehammer’s x4 damage multiplier doesn’t apply to the stronger variants of Talus, but the Goron weapons’ x2 multiplier still applies to them.

use the boulder breaker, most efficient and lasts a good while and so long as you actually get at least one diamond you can keep going back getting another and continuing the cycle, I have made a lot of money with this method

Kinda wish you included Lynel farming as a whole since they also drops gems and elixirs from hooves and horns also sell for a lot.

@@100PercentZelda also 4 molduga guts and 1 critter elixir sells for 1200+ rupees. Although there are only 4 molduga spawns in the game.

Good lynel farming is fun. Especially when you take consideration the loot drop aside from guts. Star fragments, elemental arrows and diamonds make it worth it. Especially when you consider the savage lynel weapons. I’m sure everyone already knows this.
I love the apple method, it is easy to do even early in the game to get all my armor and fairies, esp. since I'm not a strong fighter I can have good armor to withstand taking the hits I inevitably take when getting monster parts for more upgrades.

I’m not sure if it was just chance, but doing the royal guard sell glitch with the royal guard bow gave me a ruby every time. It had the best results for me
Good info. I prefer dragon farming. I can do it quickly with Farosh by the waterfall and it only uses up bows and arrows which I always have plenty of. Subscribed!

For anyone playing on Cemu, the best rupee farming method is the ancient part glitch. Because the game is running on PC, (assuming your PC is a gaming one with good hardware) there will be less lag (frames drop and become stable at around 20). I spammed the space button (for me the a button is keybinded as space) and got 999 of a certain ancient part in 3 minutes. Assuming they were ancient cores, you can get 1 million rupees in less than an hour.

Fwiw, there may be ways to “roast” the apples when harvesting.
Also, it might be important to some people to take into account the resources being used up while doing these various things. For instance, when fighting you are using arrows, wearing down weapons, and possibly eating food or drinking elixirs, all things that have a cost.
Gold/silver enemies farming:
You know, gold/silver Lynels drops gems and star fragments. So let's kill a bunch of theses enemies and sell the gems. (More efficient on master mode)
rumy farming: not efficient since you can do this once per blood moon. Go in Kakarico after a blood moon. Spam arrow mid air you get some bonus rupees.
this is very informative. though, not sure why you didn't just tell us it was an energetic rhino beetle right when you mentioned the potion at first. no reason to hold that until the end, lol.

I'm fine with being 4th most efficient on the list. Horn farming is really simple and I can save some of what I dont need to sell to make damage up meals to help me when I'm farming Lynells, stacked with the ancient proff I can kill them quick and use the parts or sell them. I'm not a big fan of exploiting glitches. The only one I use is whistle sprinting but that's because it's not game breaking.

For the lynel one, it's more time efficient to transform items into lynel guts once you get 1. I think there is a video on this channel for doing it

I farm talus lol glad someone else did and made a video on it. I'm not much of a glitch user, I like playing games as intended. I found that talus were easy to kill and net a good enough profit to buy clothes or whatever I needed at that time.

Another decent way of getting rupees sometimes in mastermode is clearing out the Coliseum Ruins. All of the mobs in there give out a rare ore that you can sell. Of course they only respawn with blood moons but this is a pretty decent way of getting weapons, shields, and money every BM.
In part one I commented the Lynrl one was the best
But did calculate it for selling ALL the materials from lynels? It's my favorite one because we can get good fight videos and it's not boring

If u take the guardian from hyrule castle to riverside stable and flip it on its head climb on top and get 999 you can sell to beedle without crashing and then climb again get 999 sell repeat and that’s the best way in my opinuon

Ancient part glicth on Hyrule field is my way to go, easy fast and fun (since you can't tell what parts you gonna get after first glicth)
You can.
Put attention to the parts the broken guarden drops when you flip it. The parts he drops are the parts you farm after, so you best look for those ancient cores.

Also you can blow up all bombable walls, melt all ice blocks and open all chests

Trading the Royal Guard stuff is better not only because you get more rupees, but because nobody is trying to kill you once you have the RG item. There's a Moblin with a RG shield after you get to a certain level of experience. He's on one of the tree forts just below Hateno Tower. Hit him with a shock arrow so he'll drop it, then freeze him and push him off the cliff. Unless you actually want to fight him, which isn't as much fun.
I do the lynel guts farmin, its more entertaining.
Now time to try the horn farming, im gonna need some for armor upgrade.

Royal Guard Weapons rupee farm is my favourite method in the game, works extremely efficient
What if you use the essence duplication glitch and just sell essence every time you transfer the essence it’s 100 rupees per essence so it should be effective

The best way to farm rupees is to get a piece of royal guard equipment and go to the riverside stable and then menu overload then dysinc to the royal guard piece and then just spam talk to the girl trading a ruby/saffire for it and she won’t take it so you can just mash “A”
I think the problem people struggle most with the Ancient Parts glitch is because they're not transporting the guardian 2 squares in any direction properly without tipping over the Guardian, before you're 2 squares away from its starting point. Tipping it over before you get it to 2 squares away from its starting location makes it not work.
There's a free standing Diamond on Mt Satoshi under a rock near the shrine, but it's only once per blood moon.
Sorry, this doesn’t make sense to me. You have to tip the Guardian in order to see what’s under before moving it.
I never thought about this... Have you tested this? but can you move the guardian without flipping over? Also, the diamond isn't every blood moon. You can get it sooner, but the timing is random. Croton has a video talking about material respawning
In my opion the royal guard wepon giltch is much easier and your not sacrificing your stuff (also great video Nico

I just tested something out and with a turbo controller it takes me about 4 seconds to get one gem, getting all 999 topazs, rubys and sapphires would take about 3.3 hours (I got no help and I'm very smart)

I think some of these methods need to be reevaluated, they don't include the time needed to replenish weapons and arrows.

@@100PercentZelda A couple of those strategies have a lot of arrow attrition. That Talos strategy had me burning through weapons on Master mode.

if you use the guardian near the castle for the glitch you'll end up almost right next to riverside stable so you can do that glitch too.

100 Percent Zelda just one question: What is it about the heart container duplication glitch that makes you not want to do it? I have done it and it's fine.
I don't know how to explain it... but the game doesn't intend you to have full hearts and stamina. Like if there were no glitches in the game, whats the max of everything you can do. that's why... I hope that made sense... haha

Question: when transferring durability. Does the original weapon you are using to move durability to other weapons take damage from giving durability?
No. Lets say you want the durability of the toy hammer on your master sword.
The durrability than is:
Current durability of the toy hammer -1
I hope you could follow that.
Edit: also, the wappon you used to transfer durability does not get damaged

for those nintendo really never patch a glitch in their game as far as i know for zelda breath of the wild they only patch like 2 or 3 so any glitch you see its most likely still in the game
you are correct!
For the values you got when you froze the meat, did you only drop 5 at a time? I usually drop about 20 - 30 to freeze before I recollect them

im pretty sure you can only use claymores for the infinite ores glitch, i tried with the spear, bow, and shield if i remember correctly
Honestly, I haven't tried the other ones... I'll experiment when I get a chance =)
I know it's not that fast but I like to farm on the 4 Molduga that spawn in the desert, 1 fin is 30 rupees and 1 gut is 110 rupees. I usually end up with bout 25-30 fins and 6-10 guts, takes me bout a min to kill one, bout 2k rupees if I ended up with 30 fins and 10 guts in 4-5 minutes. If I was to farm till I had 999 fins and guts that would be bout 139,860 rupees (if I have done my math correct). Not sure how long it would take to do this but If I had to estimate I would say probably 60+ minutes of just running between the 4 Molduga spots and killing extra enemies to get blood moons to occur
