My advice would to be to try and use burning grass so then you can float up and rain a barrage of arrows at them (I suggest the royal bow for this cause it has a high attack and one of the fastest drawing speeds)

I see it as this:
Seeing as the Bow of Light is basically forced on you at the end, and all other weapons were optional, you did beat the game without weapons.
Like in the no coins Odyssey run, where you had no choice but to get one coin, if the game forces you to do it, then it doesn't count as part of the challenge.
So, not including the one time the game forced you to use a weapon, you successfully completed this challenge. Congrats!

it isn't really a valid challenge unless you can go all the way even if you have to break the game to accomplish it.

Technically the bow of light isn’t forced. You can use any bow to defeat Ganon. Only advantage to the bow of light is that it’s infinite use. But yeah a bow is forced.
The fact that Ant went savage Lynel hunting with nothing but a box and literally made one commit suicide from just the site of him holding a box, is some of the funniest shit I’ve ever seen in my life

Portal taught me about the importance of my companion cube, but this run truly opened my eyes to it's proper usage.
Later on it looks like there is a nack to using them that is pretty effective to be fair.

95% of fighting Lynels the normal way is getting the timing down for the dodge/flurry rush. And the other 5% is having enough weapons that you won't run out before the fight is over. They're actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

The armor he was using didn't have good defense through like any of the video 😭

@@NoahHalfSquid Because blocking (not parrying) attacks lowers the shield's durability, and Guardian Lasers in particular instantly destroy any shield except the Hylian and Ancestral shield.

9:38 so that’s how you were supposed to do it. I attached Octorock Balloons to it, used Stasis on it in midair, then shot it to launch it over the wall

I'm afraid to say that it's impossible to do this in the master mode, and then, a week later he just do it
With enemies continuously regenerating, I think it is impossible. I can't even kill bokoblins with boxes. (Though I was never very good at killing things with magnesis.)
Like how he started the boss rush barely able to use his shield and by the end he was a parry god

When I tried to transfer the durability of the hylian shield into my other shields for the first time with menu overloading, I did it backwards and ended up giving the hylian shield crappy durability
No matter how you play BotW, one thing is true for all of us: We are fiercely protective of our horses.

Just so you know, a lv3 Shock Resistance buff ALREADY blocks all damage from electricity, EXCEPT for lightning from the sky. The only additional purpose of the set bonus is to block lightning like the Thunder Helm.
The impressive thing about SmallAnt is that when he's speedrunning, he can still fnd some extra brainpower to be entertaining. It's not like you're expecting to be laughing pretty often, or pretty much at any point, but it's just really enjoyable.
Who would've known that when he's not trying to focus and pull of difficult acrobatic maneuvers and skips, it'd be even more fun to watch?
Side note, it seems like these last few years there have been a lot more (quantitatively, I mean) entertaining speedrunners than previously. It's going from a hardcore gaming niche, where you see some impressive shit, to something that is legitimately purely fun to watch, with that added bonus.
I once encountered one of those flying guardians. At first, I used Magnesis to move a metal box to protect me from the lasers, but then I hid behind a wall and spent at least 10 minutes whittling its health down to 0 with only the box. Worth it.
The amount of ways you cleverly cheese this game is always worth seeing, even if it is cheaty sometimes
