calamity first attack was 10,105 years ago (from totk) attacked again 10000 years later, then link woke up, 5 years went by then it was totk. sheikah wasn’t around during the zonai, so it could be anywhere from 100,000 years ago to 11,000 years ago
I love how in almost every Zelda game, it's practically tradition to make a fool out of Ganondorf. Beating him with a fishing rod, reflecting his attacks with a bottle... I'm glad to see Smallant carrying on the tradition.

I'm already impressed that it's only been about three weeks and yet as of today the any% run is already sub 1 hour, with multiple exploits discovered (and patched). It's already getting pretty insane out there, just imagine how it'll look in a year or two.
I was really expecting at the end that the "No 'new' Weapons" clause would come back into affect during the Demon Dragon fight, allowing the challenge to be possible
Considering that the fight was done a day after the clause was made, I think he just forgot that the Master Sword was declared legal if forced by the game.
I wish there was a bombardier outfit or something that increased the damage and range of thrown items. It could have a set bonus of reduced explosive damage too.

This challenge run was such a journey, I'm glad I could witness it. Ganon trapped in angry baby jail is the funniest thing I've seen in Zelda for sure.
I learned 3 things from this, the intended strat for colgera, that I was looking for the spirit temple in the wrong place, and that I almost fought the demon kings army accidentaly
It’s so cool to see the absolute range of totk players. Like I’ve spent about 100 hours in this game and I’m finally starting to do the actual main story quests, but this man has both 100% the game, and also has done this. It’s crazy cool.
I made it into the boss fight with 2 non-gloom hearts and no gloom food, so I just gibdo boned him in the head in bullet time to death…it was a little anti-climactic, but I didn’t want to have to come back with gloom food and/or be more careful in the lead up.
That Ganon jail thing seems like a (hilarious) glitch, but I won't dismiss this run because in theory, that fight could be done with a crapload of food and patience
its definitely exploiting a loophole in ganondorf's AI, but given that the game technically lets you bring that into the arena and ganondorf has no moves that allow him to teleport, i wouldn't say its a glitch. the game is definitely working as intended, just to a very silly degree. i think a lot of zelda games let you use some weird, random gadget against the final boss (e.g. the bug net in skyward sword or the fishing rod in twilight princess, etc) this is just taking that to the logical extreme lol the legend of zelda - if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid
@@glassphoenix9095 agreed, this is an exploit, not a glitch. a glitch is being able to shoot the ganon blights from outside of boss arena in botw and damage them mid-cutscene, while this is just obeying the game's logic. enemy attacks don't damage those blocks for whatever reason, ganondorf was not given a teleport move, autobuild explicitly lets you bring your creations into a boss fight- it's all allowed!
@@heathersmith4042 The only glitch here is that those particular blocks can't be destroyed by bosses, which is a developer oversight and not consistent with the game's logic.

Great run. Super creative. I did the entire Yiga clan mission, but skipped through it mostly. Thought the helmet was the only cool reward. Didn't even realise they teach you a move. I have a hard time beating the Ghibdo on a normal playthrough so this was mad impressive. One little thing though, it was mostly a glitch/exploit less run... I wouldn't even count trapping Ganon a glitch. You figuring that out is insane enough. But the fact that he stop attacking is a bit of an exploit.
Friend of mine did something similar, managed to beat the game without pressing Y and it's really surprising how difficult it can be with even that minor difference

Imagine you’re Ganondorf. You’ve been anticipating this fight for centuries, with the last thing you were ever told being how powerful this SWORDSMAN Link is. You prepare, meet him beneath Hyrule castle and prepare to use all of the magic and skill that you’ve accumulated your whole life. Then, you get head punched for 40 minutes and can do nothing but stare and mourn your inevitable fate.
45:14 Funnily enough, when I fought Demon Dragon, I used a savage lynel 5-shot bow, after breaking my great eagle bow peppering those spots with Gibdo-Bone arrows. I was genuinly baffled how tanky those weak spots were. I did try landing on him earlier, but started taking gloom damage (which is a very big deal when you're at 38 hearts yaknow), so I figured I wasn't supposed to do that. I guess I didnt land right next to the weakspot. But I DID end up killing him with a bow, which took a considerable amount of the otherwise completely overkill 5-Shot Gibdo Arrows. I ended up shooting the head with Light Dragon Horns, which felt oddly appropriate.
Link has the sturdy ability. As long as he was at full health, he will survive any hit with 1HP remaining. 5 hearts is the sweet spot for taking best advantage of this.

45:14 Funnily enough, when I fought Demon Dragon, I used a savage lynel 5-shot bow, after breaking my great eagle bow peppering those spots with Gibdo-Bone arrows. I was genuinly baffled how tanky those weak spots were. I did try landing on him earlier, but started taking gloom damage (which is a very big deal when you're at 38 hearts yaknow), so I figured I wasn't supposed to do that. I guess I didnt land right next to the weakspot. But I DID end up killing him with a bow, which took a considerable amount of the otherwise completely overkill 5-Shot Gibdo Arrows. I ended up shooting the head with Light Dragon Horns, which felt oddly appropriate.
all this proves to me is that the Yiga Clan has all the tools necessary to save Hyrule from Ganon and rule, but instead chooses to be silly
